This hotel is nice. It’s not labeled a 5 star according to most of the travel websites but it’s pretty close in my books. If you plan on doing an extended stay in the Ft Lauderdale area, you guys need to give this place a shot. The room I picked had a partial ocean view with all the amenities of a studio apartment. The bed was super comfy and the complimentary breakfast was a nice touch. No complaints here.

Stayed for 3 nights this past week and was pleasantly surprised with the location, great staff and beautiful view of the intercoastal waterway. Had dinner in the restaurant two nights and was pleased with the service and the menu that features daily specials. Highly recommend this boutique style residence inn and will surely stay here on my frequent business trips to Fort Lauderdale.

I’ve been here twice, and both times were enjoyable. The rooms are spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. They also have a full sized kitchen and washer/dryer in the rooms. Each time I had different views(first time the intracoastal, second the beach). Oddly enough, I definitely preferred the intracoastal view, since the beach is about 2 miles away and is blocked by buildings. The hotel is pet friendly which is a big bonus in my book. Breakfast was good also. Only gripe for me would be the $ 30 daily valet fee. Rather pricey in my opinion. The only other parking option is metered which is a pain. I’ll definitely be going back here again.

Great hotel. Very clean and modern. Centrally located . No self parking. Slow and inconvenient valet service.

Since it’s located right on the intracoastal, Il Lugano is THE perfect hotel to watch the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Winterfest Boat Parade! We kicked back and relaxed and watched the parade from the comfort of our balcony.

The hotel was pretty, the view from the room was nice — we had a balcony over the water. The room was clean and a pretty nice size as we had a full kitchen and table. The kitchen came with needed supplies to wash dishes, cook, etc. The location is really not near anything, so you need a car or to take cabs. The valet fee is hefty at $ 30 a day! One of the valets was really nice while the other had a bad attitude — he walked away while i was still speaking — i even asked him«are you having a bad day?’ he replied«no, im hungover». Other then that, no real complaints, we didnt spend a lot of time in the room.

This place is as close to perfect as you can get! I recommend asking for an Intercoastal room rather than ocean view. About 3 blocks from the beach while the Intercoastal waterway is touching the property. Every room has a balcony and the staff is overly pleasant… even when you blow a circuit breaker by plugging in a faulty iron. Parking is $ 30 per day but there are meters on the street. $ 1.50 gives you 3 hours and parking is free from midnight to 8:00am. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend and my family and I will definitely be back

This is an amazing hotel. My family really enjoyed our stay here. It’s beautiful, clean & the rooms age great. The view was lovely on both sides of the hotel. The staff was awesome. Everyone from the valet to security was extremely accommodating and nice. This will be my new«go to» hotel in Lauderdale. Great Job!

Absolutely amazing service and great suites! Stayed for 3 nights on the 8th floor– great view of the ocean and canal from our 2 balconies. Comfy bed and clean room with a full size fridge, dishes, dishwasher and a 2 burner stove. The back has a big patio area where you can sit and and watch the boats cruise down the canal or you can walk about 3 short blocks and be on the beach. What made the stay great was the staff. Every staff member was dressed very professionally and they were overly polite. The complimentary breakfast was very good and there’s a free social hour(6 – 7:30) M/T/W night with free finger food and drinks. If you’re looking for a great place to stay in Ft. Lauderdale is highly recommend The Residence Inn
