I will never eat here ever again. The burger was cold, the cheese unmelted and two slivers of onions. My milkshake sat melting for 15 minutes behind the counter and they completely forgot our other drink. Top this off with surly and rude staff. The only reason this place is not out of business is that they have a captive airport audience.

Baby Green Salad was fantastic! Huge with lots off fresh ingredients including walnuts and blue cheese. Not impressed with the BBQ Burger, came out dry not juicy. But saw other styles of burgers that looked much better.

Got a Shula burger with blue cheese on it(they have a name… but forgot it) and some sea salt fries… just fries… didn’t taste the sea salt. They had some tables with outlets which were handy because I was running low on power with some devices. Okay, not the best, but okay but thought it deserved more than a 3 star… maybe 3.5.

The price was right for a good sized breakfast sandwich that comes with homemade potato fries. You get a choice of bacon or ham on the egg sandwich and it filled us up for the 6.5 hour flight to San Francisco. Plus, we didn’t even eat all the potatoes as the portion was huge.

I don’t expect much from airport food, but this place was even less that u expected. Service was horrendous, good came out wrong and people just didn’t care. If I was Don Shula, I’d take my name off of this joint.

I decided to try this after a flight because of the good reviews. I was quite disappointed. First of all, expensive. Yes, I know airport food is expensive but this burger comes on its own. Sides are extra $. The order system wasn’t working properly so on several occasions the cooks didn’t get the orders come through on their printer, therefore, they didn’t make them. As for the food, the burger was NOTHING special. I got the House of Blues Burger and I thought the red onion jam would have a little sweetness to it which would pair nicely with the blue cheese; it did not. The quality of the meat was low. I felt fat globules. The texture and flavor was overall disappointing. Go elsewhere.

Typically airport foods for me are pretty terrible. They always look promising, so you end up buying an overpriced meal that sounds and looks good. But after a few bites, you wonder why you bought it in the first place. Nothing but a bunch of overpriced regrets every single… Time. I have heard of Shula burger before but personally never had it. Shula was literally by my gate and the menu looked promising so I decided to put my order. I ordered the French Onion burger. Sounds amazing doesn’t it? That’s because it is. It consisted of caramelized onions, Gruyère cheese, garlic mayo and I later found out, it had garlic croutons! Nice little surprise. I never had croutons on a burger before. But you put carb on carb and what do you get? A happy meal. That’s what! It was hot and delicious. Patty was perfect. The burger taste was very synonymous to a five guys burger. Only, the Shula burger was a whole less greasier and didn’t necessarily taste like obesity. And don’t get me wrong, I love my five guys burger too. Their sea salt fries didn’t disappoint as well. I had it to go and it was your normal brown paper bag kind of deal as the packaging. Love the design of the place. They have a pretty good maintenance of cleanliness on the tables since their staff are always proactive of cleaning it out. Their staff are pretty cool. They weren’t snobbish. Check out was fast! Plus for that. And they are probably the more organized food place compared to other food chains in the airport. Burger was $ 8.79 and sea salt fries $ 2.79 which brought my meal around $ 12 something. For a delicious meal that gets you full at the airport??? I’m definitely not complaining. I’m a big fan of this place. I wouldn’t hesitate coming back here for another meal!

Look, there are only 2 places to choose from to eat in this terminal — — Shula and Chili’s. Thus, if you cannot imagine what to expect before hand, you deserve what you get. The staff was ok. Not overly friendly, but ok. The hamburgers are only cooked medium or more. I ordered medium, since I like rare. The burger was not medium(there was no pink). My son ordered a hamburger and got a cheeseburger. We sent it back for a hamburger. It took almost 15 minutes(way too long). My son actually liked the taste of his hamburger. I ordered a red sangria. 10 minutes in, waitress asked if I can wait another 10 minutes, because she needs the manager to make the sangria. I waited. 10 minutes later, she asked if white sangria is ok, because they do not have red sangria. Price point is definitely a little high.

A good place to duck in for a burger and a beer in between flights. My burger was cooked exactly as ordered and the beer was cold. The quarters are a little snug with so many passengers trying to fit into a small space, but it was an oasis to us.

Seems like an ok place. The ingredients were good, and it was relatively fast, but the burger I got was totally rare. I’m usually fine with that, but I found it ironic given that they ask you if you want it «medium or well.» Of course I ate it anyway because I was starving, but now I’m worried I’ll get food poisoning mid flight, and it’s kind of giving me some anxiety. Other mitigating factors: guy at the register was either pulling a double shift, smoked one Hell of a bong hit, or was the most apathetic person in the world. On the plus side, the guy giving orders seemed like the best put together 20-yo I’ve ever seen. He greeted everyone and wished them a good flight between calmly giving orders to the whole staff.

What the heck is it with airport dining options and poor service? Is there no manager, no checks and balance? It took 20 minutes for my burger here. Not a big deal personally because I had time, but this is an airport. People have flights to catch. At a minimum you should get a time estimate and NOT get attitude when you ask how much longer. I felt for those waiting at the mercy of the cooks. Yes, they had 4 guys manning in grill and fry station. What I really enjoy about the open kitchen concept is being able to see what is happening to your food. We should never see the guys handling our meals eating off the plates. So gross, I witnessed a fry guy sneak a taste with gloved hands and keep working the line. Food wise the burger is well seasoned but incredibly fatty. I made a mistake adding pepper bacon for $ 1.09…it was cold and tasted a bit off. Like a stale ham taste more than smoky delicious bacon. No sides included so I passed on fries and onion rings. Just as well, hungry Jack in back had is dirty fingers in them. Add a bottle of airport water and my meal was $ 12 I wish I brought snacks

We were recommended the Beach Burger as being the best burger of the menu. We ordered it medium rare. It had a great flavor, definitely tiny and came out well done. The party was as small as in McDonalds. Great taste but not worth your 10 bucks. I would define rely recommend the salads, bigger and get more for your money. A plus was the fact you find wine and sparkling wine for reasonable price. I still strongly believe ft Lauderdale airport needs to step up in food quality and variety! Just saying…

Had a avocado burger and the avocado was brown, sent back and they gave me another brown looking avocado. Burger was dry and didn’t taste very good. Expensive and not very good.

Yay, airport food. Well, did you know that Don Shula was an NFL legend and Hall of Fame Coach?! But his family is known for their steakhouse too! Ordered: Shula Burger — $ 7.19 Tina’s Treasures and Tribulation — We were waiting so long for our plane back to Cali so we got hungry! As usual, we decided to grab a bite — Burgers were pretty pricey, didn’t even come with fries :( — The burger took a bit to come out, but I mean it was made to order so that’s awesome, even with it’s logo on it or name at least! — I wanted to see what the«original» is all about and it was decent — I wish I could’ve gotten more off the menu, but after the cruise, my wallet wasn’t as happy with me — Maybe a sit down real restaurant next time!

I understand completely that it’s an airport restaurant, but to be honest the beef tasted rancid, overly frozen. If I was a local figure like Don Shula, I would be embarrassed to have my name on this. I’d rather have a McDonald’s burger over this stuff any day of the week; and that’s not saying much. I’d focus on Chili’s located adjacent for quick airport fare.

To start we got in line to order the food & paid for it. Was given a number to be show to the servers. Wife had Burger Turkey with Sweet Potato Tot, I had Caesar Salad with Grill Chicken, side of Sweet Potato Tot & a Big Chocolate Chips Cookie for dessert. Wife Burger was Delicious & the Sweet Potato Tots were awesome. My Caesar Salad was perfect & fill me up good. The Big Cookie was save for later, to full to be eaten. Glad we had a late lunch before embarking on a 6+ hour flight. By the way this was eaten 3 days ago but forgot to Unilocaled, needed to be told.

I was at the Fort Lauderdale airport for an early morning flight and the breakfast sandwich I had from Shula’s was just great! Fresh eggs, fresh cheese, fresh muffin, and EXCELLENT staff! I got my sandwich quickly and this was good considering I just was told that my direct flight to SFO was«under maintenance» and they didn’t know when I’d be leaving and I’d have to go through Houston. Not a happy moment for me, but Shula’s saved the day! Amazing what a breakfast sandwich, good customer service, and a smile will do! Kudos to the staff! Next time I’m at FLL, I’ll stop in again!

Build your own burger would of got me good had the Fried Egg wasn’t being served. $.55 per premium choice of sauté mushrooms, avocados etc. or Extra Premium for $ 1.08 for Fried egg on your burger… This would of been a $ 10 burger with no side but instead i ended up getting the kid’s order of Grilled cheese, side of Fries and a small drink at $ 6. Still a bit hefty but at least it wasn’t $ 10 ! A friend of mine ordered the build your own and the back side of her burger bun was bit in to ! AS gross as that sounded the bacon chip order was a favorite among st everyone. …but bacon makes everything taste good .-_–

The food took forever to prepare and the burger came out very medium. The fries are delicious and tasty. The cooks and servers are screaming a time each other and forgetting or not completing orders on time. A line was forming and people were getting mad since the fries or salad was taking forever. Overall would not go back due to the screaming and lack of professionalism. Lots of profanity and bickering.

My recent red eye from SFO to FLL found me in the airport at 8am craving an actual meal. I wasn’t sure that Shula burger would be serving food that early but to my(very pleasant) surprise, they were(no «premium» toppings until 10am)! I got a single burger with pickles and onions, fries, and a drink. It was about $ 13, not too bad for an airport given the amount of food. If you choose to sit in their little section, you are given a number to put on your table and your food is brought out to you. Mine came out pretty quickly and was nice and hot. The burger was pretty good. I’ve had much better but I’ve also had much worse. Fries were nice and crispy. The only negative is that when I went to get some ketchup from the little pump at the condiment bar, it was gooey and kind of stuck, making it hard to use and making me concerned about what was happening inside the container.

There were only two options for lunch in the terminal where we landed and no time to go elsewhere for food. It was either a place I knew I didn’t like or try a new place. My wife and I decided to try a new place. Ordering was easy. I just wanted a regular Schula burger and a Mocha Milkshake. This was an order on the wall and they bring it to your table kind of place. We were lucky to find a table as it was busy! The milkshake arrived before the meal and was a sticky mess on the outside. Would it have really taken that much time to wipe it clean? The burgers arrived next. My wife’s was considerably undercooked. Mine was okay. If given this as an option again I probably still would have chosen this place. The food was pretty good but the milkshake was the real star! Maybe just a stop for a sweet treat next time. Also, they have giant cookies. I didn’t have one but saw three staff members chowing down on them. I would say that’s a pretty good bet that they are good if the employees are eating them!

It’s in an airport. It was even in the same terminal — a mere 4 gates from my departing flight. I should have bought something from a prep packed store. When I ordered the burger the sales woman said«our burger is cooked to medium is that ok?» I stated I wanted it «well» instead. She said that was no problem. We ordered an additional burger(medium minus pickles), fries and a milkshake. After a small wait the food arrived. Immediately everything looked delicious. I tasted the fries and they were delicious. Great balance of crunch and mush inside each fry. Perfect amount of salt — especially nice with the sea salt instead of the normal offering. I tried to pair it with ketchup but the dispenser was broken. I tried to get help with refilling it but after waiting and asking several people I finally wound up being handed a handful of ketchup packets from an employee who never spoke a word to me and seemed as if I was inconveniencing her by asking a question. Next — the burger — one bite in and I was disappointed. The burger was not cooked well. Even worse, it wasn’t even medium. It looked more like medium rare. My wife’s burger was medium and more cooked than mine. I tried to track the sales staff down but despite having a large number of employees, none of them would stop to engage me or answer a question. I ate around the edges but left the majority of the burger intact and untouched. I don’t take chances with meat and cooking temps — especially when traveling and eating in airports. I will not eat here again unless it’s fries to go as those were quite delicious.

There’s definitely been some improvement at Ft. Lauderdale’s international airport. Now, besides a Chili’s Too, Terminal 1 boasts Shula Burger, a refreshing and tasty change of pace in fast food fare. Here burger patties are prepared with a nice mix of beef, short rib, and brisket hamburger; Sea Salt Fries are well trimmed with sharp and crispy edges; thick and crunchy Onion Rings are accompanied by an intriguing sweet and spicy Strawberry Chipotle Jam; and several pieces of well-breaded Fried Pickles come with Ranch Dressing suitable for dipping. Although Diane’s burger did not arrive plain as ordered, it was easy to shift the vegetables to my standard Shula Burger. I soon discovered that Shula Burgers automatically come with a slice of melting American Cheese, and are quite satisfying. Service was friendly; seating was comfortable; and a free soda refill was appreciated. It is clear that fabled NFL coach Don Shula has produced another winning product besides his legendary Miami Dolphin squads of yesteryear.

Seriously, who knew you could actually get great food at the airport? If you are at FLL and you have time, venture on over to Terminal 1 and grab a Shula burger! My boyfriend got the BBQ burger with double cut peppered bacon, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce and I got the Wine Burger with roasted peppers, fresh goat cheese, balsamic greens, roasted tomatoes. We split a large order of fries. Wow! These burgers were amazing! They come either medium or well, so make your selection carefully, we went with well and they were fine. Simply heaven! Still juicy and not over cooked. Next time, I will probably go with medium. The line was a little long and it took about 15 minutes to get our order, but definitely worth the wait! This is a definite stop when you are at the FLL airport!

Well, I came to Terminal 1 expecting to purchase a donut from Dunkin Donuts. To my surprise, Shula Burger was where Dunkin used to be! Have to say that I was very happy! Coach Shula was one of the best NFL coaches ever so I was expecting his burgers to be very good. My wife and I were not disappointed. We got in line, and went over the menu board while waiting for our turn. All their burger buns are stamped with«Shula» on top. Very cool! I decided to try Shula’s BBQ Burger. It is filled with Double cut peppered bacon, cheddar cheese, and BBQ sauce. Great flavor, good portion size, and affordably priced for being at the airport.(4.5 stars) My wife decided to have their California Burger. It is filled with sliced avocados, tomatoes, cucumbers, and balsamic greens. She said that it was okay, but she would try something else in the future.(3 stars) We also shared an order of Sea Salt fries, and bought a Big cookie for the flight. The fries tasted fine, but nothing extraordinary.(3.5 stars) That chocolate chip cookie, though, was super yummy!!! Wish I had bought more than one!(5 stars) I highly recommend patronizing Shula Burger when you are at Terminal 1 at the Fort Lauderdale Airport. They make delicious burgers here, and they serve them with a smile!
