Started with a dour order taker who aside from not being able to bother a new customer with a smile was tongue tied when it came to suggestions. We both ordered the Buddha Bowl with lemongrass chicken($ 11) and a soda($ 2.50) plus 1 appetizer of chicken dumplings($ 4). The appetizer came after we were halfway through our main course. Regarding the main course was it suppose to be hot? Cold? A salad? I really don’t know as it was more or less served at room temperature with a cold fish sauce. The bill with tax came to $ 32.86 At that price for the food served and lack of interaction form the staff I see no reason to go back

Food is good but not awesome. However I like that they have vegetarian options and healthy stuff mostly. It’s cafeteria style so you order at the cashier and they bring it to your table. Have been here twice with friends for both dinner and lunch and it looks it’s the same menu for both. Good prices

Service = great, met both owners, super nice guys, talented, hard workers, creative. Food came out pretty quick. Food Edamame Falafel Curry Balls — should be called Eda Wazzup Mame! Balls About 8 slightly smaller than ping pong balls, fried and drizzled with rich curry sauce, thick smooth texture and cilantro garnish. Must try. chicken wings — Eh, kinda dry, about 6 pieces, 2 sauces came much later(sweet/spicy sauce and some kind of watery chimichuri(this one complimented the wings better)) Buddha Bowl Dumplings — about 6 delicious assortment of steamed dumplings, abundance of filling, savory and tangy sauce. Only thing was, couldn’t tell which was which… who cares! Miso Noodle Soup w/soba — perfectly cooked soba noodle in savory, spanking with flavor broth with sesame seeds, half a parboiled egg, 4 thick slices of pork belly. Kimchi Quesadillas — 4 triangular pieces of filled with semi-spicy filling with side of guacamole. Not as good as I had assumed. Kinda of flavorless without the delicious coral colored sauce it came with. Eat with sauce! Pear Cider — delicious, refreshing straight out of the can or poured in a glass. Restaurant — parking is scarce due to popularity. Got there at 7 and left at 9pm and the place was full. Modern décor, clean, nice arrangement of seating indoors or outdoors, 2 tv’s. You have to order/pay at the counter, take a number, pick a seat and the food comes to your table. Good for everyone. Please remember to tip! Saw some people not tiping which kinda pissed me off. Your mess still needs to be cleaned up! Stingy bastards. Utmost respect for these guys, good prices, great location, great ambiance, good happy hour specials, good service, very good food. And if you’re Asian, don’t be fooled by the lack of Asians eating there, no doubt you will like ;0)

This place is amazing! I was working on a project in ft lauderdale earlier this year and this was my favorite lunch spot. Everyone else in the office was hooked too! Edamame falafel pita was my regular choice, but i would see other peoples plates in the restaurant that looked delicious, and I eventually started tasting other things on the menu. Everything is delicious. Food is so fresh and prices are great. My husband was sick of me bragging about my fabulous work lunches, so today we drove from Miami Beach, and it was totally worth the drive! We ordered one of everything on the small bites menu, and the edamame falafel pita. I had tried the wings, shrimp wonton tacos, chicken quesadillas before– but it was my first time trying the shrimp tempura– so good!!! Everything is so good!!! I wish we had a Temple Street in Miami!!!

Probably one of the best Asian fusion restaurants in Broward County. There are multiple influences here including Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Hispanic. Ramen here is especially delish. I got the Bun noodles and was satisfied with my dish. Service is fast, and you pay first when you order at the counter. It can get really crowded here during lunch, so just a heads up especially if you’re looking for parking.

There are rarely any legit good Asian restaurants in South Florida. Temple Street Eatery is one of the best Asian restaurants I’ve ever eaten at in the US. They have variety of ramen dishes, desserts, food, sake, beers, and more. Last year I got to try the Miso Ramen and today I had a ramen bowl with tender pork, egg, shrimp dumplings(or won tons), and more. The broth soups were perfect and delicious. The ingredients are fresh and I loved the bean sprouts too. One bowl was a lot so I had to take the rest to go. I shared the leftovers with friends when I got home and they devoured it!!! Haha! Sometimes the restaurant staff hosts cool events such as the Cinco De Mayo celebration and they come up with special dishes. They are really creative and the staff is extremely friendly. The owners are very nice too. You could tell they love their jobs and work environment. Parking is free in the plaza. When you walk in the door, you can order at the counter. There’s laminated menus or you can look at the menu from the chalkboard. If you need help figuring out what to eat and drink, just ask the staff and they’ll happily help you. After paying, you are given numbered stands. You take that to where you sit and place it on the table. Then the food will be hand delivered to you :-). There’s fountain machines if you want sodas, juices, or water. Bottled water, alcohol, and cocktails are also available.

Their salads and rice bowls are a win. Hands up for their innovation with the Asian style fusion of healthy and refreshing dishes. I had the Buddha salad which came as a spring mix with jicama sticks and what appeared to be fried onion toppings with radishes, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes and a light peanut finger dressing. My girlfriend had the rice bowl– forgot the name but it also came with jicama sticks, pickles, chicken breast, brown rice, onions, etc. very filling, tasty yet light. We went half on the crispy Brussels sprouts which had some sort of fish sauce glaze to it that was just wow. Perfect lunch spot and very affordable, our entire meal was under $ 25! The review gets 3 stars as the staff was ehhh. Cashier was nice but the waitress was a little curt and gave a little attitude when we asked for an extra dish to split the bowls. The dish was not being deducted from her paycheck so she didn’t have to act like it is. No Bueno.

Visited this restaurant for the first time this afternoon and the food was excellent. We ordered a number of things to try and get a good sampling of the menu and each item was better than the last. The miso ramen and the dumplings were two of my favorites. This is a great lunch spot considering the portions are large yet the food isn’t so «heavy.»

Went for lunch with my co-worker and arrived right at noon. The cashier was friendly and explained the specials and took our order. I had the wonton noodle soup and a bottle of water. My order was just over 15.00 but not bad considering I had the leftovers for lunch the following day. The cashier swiped my card and made sure to point out where I need to put the tip. Huh? Tip? I added $ 2 and took a seat. The food arrived to the table and looked amazing. The shrimp dumplings in my soup were delicious and my Co worker said her spicy beef phở was very good as well. The place was soon crowded so I was glad we got there early and beat the rush.

Sorry guys and gals, but I don’t get the hype here. I live for Asian food. Thai food is my jam, give me Vietnamese any day of the week. Hell, I love me some Burmese food, Chinese food from any province of China and I can’t leave out the amazing food from that little island of Japan. Man, the list goes on and on. It’s all so damn good, just not here. I was so glad they opened this place right down the street from me. My first trip I ordered the Bun Bo, a dish that’s hard to mess up. I’ve eaten this all over the world, including the streets of Hanoi, and many American versions were just as delicious as the joint in Hanoi. For some reason, these guys couldn’t quite get it right. My husband’s ramen was subpar as well. Okay, growing pains, I thought. Returning for a second trip I tried their bimibap… also not so good. Man how I wished these guys were the real deal. In sure I’ll fall for them again, but I’m afraid it just won’t be that great.

Bibimbamp was not good, isn’t supposed to taste sweet like that. Shrimp won ton was good, noodles tasted fresh. Went back again and tried falafel bites, wonton soup again(way too salty), pork Vietnamese sandwich, assortment of dumplings and Everything was extremely salty. There wasn’t much taste, just sodium tasting. Won’t be going back. The food kept us up all night. We couldn’t drink enough water to flush the salt out of our system. Not real Asian food.

10⁄3 — Thank you Michael C. for checking in here. That’s how I found this little gem. Love my fellow Unilocalers!!! This place easily became one of my favorite spots in Ft. Lauderdale. The girl in the register was so nice and friendly. She handed us menus and we sat on a cute table for 2 by the window. Their menu is also written on the wall by the register on a chalk board. They had 2 specials and that’s exactly what we ordered. First special was the Mini Arepas with Shredded Beef, you got 4 of these($ 7). The beef was very flavorful, and they topped it off with cheese. The other special was the watermelon & goat cheese salad($ 6). Big chunks of watermelon, goat cheese, vidalia onions, beets and mint. It was topped with what I believe was Cayenne pepper, it gave it a kick. We also ordered the Buddha Mix, 4 pieces, Shrimp, vegetable, pork and chicken dumpling($ 4.50) every piece was delicious, fresh! I almost tipped the bowl and drank the broth, it was that good. They have a nice selection of craft beers as well. We ordered La Rubia, Wynwood Brewing($ 5) and the Cali Creamin’ Vanilla Crème Ale, Mother Earth Brew Co.($ 6). They also offer Sake and wines. Happy Hour is M-F 4−7pm $ 2 drafts, $ 1 sake. I am looking forward to coming back and trying out more dishes!

I had the Shoyu Noodle Soup with SOBA. It was. DELICIOUSLY amazing. The bowl was savory w sweet soup. Perfect balance of everything. My family got the bulgoli bowl, and some type of salad, but they didn’t enjoy their dishes nearly as much as I did. I’d highly recommend the Shoyu Soba Soup !!

Drove by this place in search of a gas station. The name looked interesting so I quickly Unilocaled. I started with photos which looked fantastic! And THEN I read the reviews. What a mistake… but we were already parking. It was Abbey G.‘s review that made me decide to just order something small and taste for myself before ordering more. What a disappointment. :/the name TEMPLE. STREET. EATERY is so enticing to me. But it fell so very short. We had the Buddha Mix($ 4.50) which is a small bowl with 1 of each of their steamed dumplings in it [chicken(DRY), veggie(meh), pork(not memorable), shrimp(good), sauces(great)] I noticed in the photos that these are normally served IN a bowl of sauce instead of with the sauce on the side to dip the dumplings into. So I asked for it on the side. And since they had 3 to choose from, I tried the 2 sauces unique to TSE. We also had something off the specials chalkboard; the ribs.($ 7) It came with«4 little ribs» as the cashier explained. The sauce on the ribs was great. Sweet and tangy and plenty of it. But thats it. I couldn’t taste the rib meat whatsoever. I was eating flavored texture. It would have been accurately priced had it been a good dish. The pickled daikon served as a garnish was actually very tasty. I ate all of it. No interesting soft drinks here. Nothing unique to them. Typical sodas from the fountain and lipton or Fuze tea, I can’t remember. I saw delicious things on the menu that I would have loved to order but after these 2 dishes I just could not waste any more money. Dishes like the Bahn Mi with Lemongrass fries, the Soba Noodle bowl, Bibimbap Bowl and Crispy Shrimp appetizer sounded/looked delicious but I didn’t want to gamble any more of our money. Total with tax and tip was $ 18.50 or something close to $ 19.

Not impressed… This was probably one of the most forgettable meals I’ve had in a long time. Temple Street Eatery is a fast casual concept, so it’s not like my expectations were sky high, but this food was so bland that it made Pei Wei look gourmet. One of the best things about Asian cuisine is the wonderful flavors and spices. In addition, since a lot of Asian cuisine uses very basic ingredients, it will take well to the flavors and spices when prepared. Since this was my first time, I asked the female cashier what her favorite menu items were which I think seemed to annoy her. She directed us to the soups and the rice bowls. In regards to the sandwiches, I asked if they were on a special kind of «Asian bread» to which she seemed even more annoyed that I asked such a «stupid question». Asians don’t eat«sandwiches». I’ve had sushi sandwiches with sticky rice«bread» and nori and steam buns. That’s the extent of Asian«bread» and sandwiches. If the sandwiches offered were on some kind of steamed bun or innovative dim sum kind of «bread»(cha siu bao) that would’ve been something new and cool and I would’ve opted for a sandwich. Not the case, the bread honestly looked like focaccia(real«Asian»). I ended up with a Shoyu soup with ramen noodles(since they were out of soba) and the Buddha sampler of dumplings. The quality of the dumpling ingredients was cafeteria quality at best with the chicken dumpling as the standout star. Don’t waste your time with the rest of the dumplings. The«soup», terrible. What makes a good Asian soup is the broth! It’s all about the broth! The«broth» of this soup tasted like soy sauce with sugar, water, and I wouldn’t go as far and give them credit enough to say a dash of sesame oil, but it might have made a cameo in the recipe. Ramen noodles flavor packet even packs more of a punch than this broth. This was the worst broth I’ve had in a very long time. The atmosphere, well they play reggae music so I guess that makes it «cool»?? Will I be back, nope, I rather have $ 0.50 ramen noodles with frozen dumplings. More flavor and no annoyed female cashier to deal with.

As hubby was driving to a restaurant I saw Temple Street Eatery and said I read several good reviews on Unilocal. So we decided to eat there instead! Thank you Unilocalers! We had a great meal! The restaurant has outdoor seating and four top tables/bistro tables inside. I liked the interior — it was clean and nicely designed. We walked up to the counter to read the menu board and order. The person behind the counter was a server from another restaurant that we used to frequent. She warmly greeted us — we were thrilled to see her too! Josie is all heart and we knew we were in good hands as soon as we saw her! So not only do we want to return for the food, we’re delighted to know that we can see Josie too. We ordered: Wonton tacos — «poached shrimp, guacamole, lettuce, gochujang cream and pineapple salsa». It’s a tasty textural delight — springy shrimp, crunchy taco shells, and creamy sauce, spiked with a sweet fruity garnish.
Buddha mix — one each of generously stuffed meat, chicken, veggie and shrimp dumplings with Buddha sauce(my fav — ponzu and teriyaki notes), dan dan sesame sauce(a sweet mix of soy sauce and sesame oil) and traditional sauce(a red sauce equally sweet and vinegary). Bulgogi Cheesesteak sandwich — hubby had a soft grilled sub roll stuffed with beef and cooked veggies, wrapped in a slice of provolone cheese. It was tasty and next time he’s going to request more cheese. Bimibop Rice Bowl — WOW! Loved this! Fresh, marinated, and cooked veggies on top of rice, with a pile of bulgogi beef, a fried egg, and fried tofu strips. Gochujang sauce(a Korean chili/soy bean sauce) was served on the side. This was such a generous bowl of food that I had to take half of it home. And I’m so glad because it was fabulous — I can’t wait to return and get it or another rice/noodle bowl! The server delivered all the food to the table at the same time. We got our soft-drinks from the beverage area on the side of the restaurant. There are no desserts on the menu, but we couldn’t even finish our meal so we weren’t seeking it. I recommend this casual Asian-fusion restaurant because the prices are fair, the restaurant atmosphere is cool and you’re bound to have a great meal no matter what you order. I think that the best thing to do here is to order dishes to share so you get to taste a variety of items. And feel free to invite me — I’d love to try more of their dishes!
