Servers are very friendly & warm, coffee selection is great, bagels are messy but very tasty. We split a waffle, I had Nutella and wifey had bananas with mango jam. Both sides were very good. Pricing is reasonable. Regular coffee refills are $.50. Reggae on the playlist this day and free wifi.

Loved the bagels and waffles, but got eaten alive by mosquitos in their outdoor seating at 10 am. Might want to think about spraying or at least warning the guests!

Parking kinda sucks but that’s not the place is problem since they don’t choose to be blocked by the barricades. I thought the bagel sandwich was delicious the waffle was okay wasn’t worth the money that we spent but it was just ok. I thought pricing was a little high and a little bit too nitpicky. They charge for every little thing which made the bill for 2 people for breakfast to Bagel sandwiches in a waffle almost $ 28.

5 stars! For a beach breakfast with a bang! Decided to pop in to grab some much needed nourishment before heading to the beach to sweat it out. I was planning on a grab and go move, but once I walked in, I had to stay! Truly tucked away off the main road, customers are provided with a lovely and quaint tree-shaded courtyard to enjoy their meal. I love nothing more than being able to eat outside under the shade of nature’s beauty on a warm day. They also have some limited seating inside for those all too hot summer days as well. Either way, super cozy and cute set-up! I walked into the café and was immediately greeted with warm smiles asking if I needed help. Normally I say, «no I’m ok,» but after reading their menu I was so torn about which yummy option to go with, I had to ask for some guidance. It was that time of day where either breakfast or lunch territory would suffice and they had a fantastic menu for either meal appeal. My breakfast belly craving won out in the end and I got the Sunrise Bagel Sandwich — egg, bacon and ham with melted pepper jack and american cheese on a Asiago Bagel. Yum, double yum, triple yum! The prices were completely reasonable, with my mountainous bagel, egg, and cheese deliciousness only costing me $ 5.50. Overall, the prices range, but all under $ 10. The bagels are delivered fresh daily and come in a variety from onion to everything to asiago, etc… Pretty much devoured my sammie! The eggs were cooked well and the meats were plentiful. The bagel itself was quite good(and this is coming from a Brooklyn girl who grew up eating some of the best bagels in the business — sorry but it’s true). They wear their«tuckaway» name proud(almost too proud), as it’s easy to miss the café if you aren’t looking for it. Also, parking is extremely limited, so parking elsewhere and walking over would be your best option to avoid becoming a «hangry»(hungry and angry for those who don’t know) person while waiting for a spot to open up. I will absolutely be back and next time I will have to try their European style wafel. Yes it is spelled wafel, not waffle! I got to experience the wafel first hand in Brussels and when done right they are just downright delectable. So here’s to hoping their wafél can live up to their bagél(the accent marks are there to emphasize my pathetic attempt at a French accent). Sorry, had to try!

Cute little place that I’m glad we tried. The coffee was just okay, and I recommend eating your bagel there instead of taking it to go. The steamer they use left our bagels pretty watery by the time we got back to our hotel. There was no seasoning on the eggs, which made them pretty bland. Staff was very friendly, and they do a lot in a very small kitchen. We got 2 coffees, 2 bagel sandwiches and one small waffle for our little one. The total was almost $ 30 which I felt was a little absurd, but hey we’re on vacation. Definitely worth checking out. YMMV.

Ok. So where do I begin. We were there last weekend and we had breakfast there. We took the recommendation of the workers there on what to get. And we so enjoyed what we got. It was awesome. Did I mention how good it was. Yup. AWESOME. It so hit the spot we went the next morning again and all four of us agreed it was the best meal we had in Ft Myers. You better believe that next time we are down there we will be first in line to get breakfast. This is a must visit if you enjoy good food at a relaxing place.

Cool vibe, good peeps in line, really good bagel breakfast sandwiches. I had the McGregor, a sausage egg & cheese on a choice of the daily bagels(I chose onion bagel) — I dug it. I got it without pepper jack cheese,(it comes with both that & American cheese) because personally, I love hot sauces & spice but think pepper jack cheese is all sorts of low-hanging-fruit type manufactured no-love garbage– but that’s just me! They did have hot sauces & I went with the mango one I think & it was great,(don’t get me started on my American cheese rant– I’ll eat it & it’s fine but I can write an essay on that …) this place does bagels & waffles(or Wafels as they stress in the menu, absolutely nothing taste wise like a waffle but has the same shape & look of one) Wafels are a 400 year old recipe from the old country they say & it tasted dense & weird, my girlfriend didn’t like it but her mother gobbled it up once it was cast aside– I hated it but liked the mango jam served with it. I think it was an off day for the batter, because every review I read raves about the ‘Wafels’ so I’m willing to try it again. Seating is mostly outside in a cool atmosphere, great island music playing loudly but not offensively– there’s entitled children with terrible tattoos that smoke & curse loudly about their night before antics, so if you’re with family & children be prepared to tell them to put out their smokes & stfu– it’s ok, they’re harmless after that. Staff very cool, great bagel selection, there was 7 or 8 options when I was there, bagels kinda on the small side but not outrageous small, very good. I would try it again because the bagel sandwich was great & the Wafel deserves another try to see if it truly was an off day, the place was packed so it must be good– check this place out!

Just yum… go here if you want one of the best breakfast sandwiches you’ll ever have! The steamed bagels were amazing — I had the Sammie with Nutella cream cheese banana and cinnamon sugar, hubby has the sunrise with 2 kinds of cheese and meat with eggs — both were SO good!

The thing to get at this grab n go place? The Liege wafel. It will be the best mini Belgian waffle you will ever lay your lips on. I let the little one splurge and get it with Nutella and whipped cream, and he must have said 6 times how good it was. I sneaked a bite and it was damn tasty. The bagel sandwiches are nothing special… steamed bagel with fast-food quality sausage and bacon(I could barely see the pale — colored strip of bacon in there). A big bummer. The quality could be so much better for the price. Make sure to salt and pepper the eggs… they are bland. Iced latte was GOOD because it is Lavazza coffee. Sit outside. Just don’t pet the feral Siamese cat. In fact, in my personal book of rules, rule #427 says to never pet a sleeping feral cat. They are unpredictable. Just sayin’. Stick to coffee and a bagel with maybe cream cheese or butter.

Great bagels! They are a bit on the pricey side but excellent treat for while you’re on vacation. They also have pretty good coffee. My only complaint is the lack of parking.

The Tuckaway is a nice small coffee shop with a friendly staff and a quaint location. It has a tiny interior seating area and a nice patio. The coffee and coffee drinks are just average. Coffee is self serve out of thermos carafe dispensers. The house blend was average. There were 3 in rotation so it is unclear how fresh ours was. The small latte I received had no visible steamed milk or foam on top. The flavor was again average. Not bad, just nothing special. We ordered the Snook bagel sandwich — it was the highlight of what we ordered. They steam their sandwiches so it’s a different texture than what you would get typically — but all of the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. So overall — good sandwich but average coffee. Sadly it’s the best coffee we’ve found on this beach so far.

I stopped by Tuckaway this morning and I am SO glad I did! Though I took my order to go, there is a great patio for dining. The coffee is delicious. There are a number of great bagel sandwiches. I had the lox and they were happy to substitute avocado for the cream cheese. The café was quite popular and a bit busy when I visited(given the spring breakers) but the staff was attentive and had my order ready to go very quickly! I will definitely be back!!!

Visited the tuck away while on vacation in ft Myers as it has amazing Unilocal reviews. There are no pix from me because I ate my food way too fast, it was too good! I’m sure you can imagine what a bagel sandwich looks like though. I opted for the onion bagel w/egg & cheese which was delectable! My partner ordered the spinach bagel w/egg, cheese & sausage & iced coffee w/salted caramel which was strong and refreshing not too sweet. The service from the owners I believe was very helpful & friendly. It’s a very cute, cozy place to eat w/indoor & outdoor seating. We’ll be back next time we’re in town! Thank you! Btw turns out they only reopened 2 days ago after a remodel, so if you’ve been in the past you may be surprised by a new look.

We chose to have breakfast at this place as it had received such unanimously good reviews here on Unilocal. What is described as a charming and genuine café in other reviews was to us a shabby and dingy place. In the patio there were a handfull of tables and chairs that all looked as they were ready for the tip; half broken, dirty and wiggeling. A cat seemed to live in one of the bushes in the patio and was sneaking around the tables. I hope it choose to do its needs far away… The wafel with mango jam was ok but the bagel«Sammy» with banana, nutella and cream cheese was a big unappetizing lump of mess falling apart. It could have been tasty if it had not been«the more the merrier» of everything. Or is «Sammy» perhaps just a joke to us Europeans, something that americans never would dream of having themselfves. No, this is not our kind of «genuine» café.

If you are in the area I would definitely recommend to come here! The environment is super cute and it gives you the happy tropical feel :) There is not a lot of seating and it is a smaller area– but you don’t feel crammed or like the person next to you is listening to your conversation. The food taste amazing and it is well priced. We both got breakfast sandwiches– they were a decent size– you can probably split one if you aren’t that hungry! Now onto the real reason I am giving this place 5 stars. THEHOTSAUCE o.m.g. seriously If you like hot sauce you will love theirs. They have a lot of different options that are locally made and all have unique tastes. I mixed together a red one with a brown one that had some kinda of chunks in it. I know my descriptions are fabulous. but I didn’t really read the labels lol lol: D The hot sauces really made the sandwich. Even Jake who is not a big hot sauce fan LOVED them. I wish I was smart at the time and would’ve wrote down the names to buy some and bring back to NY. hey all the more reason to take another trip ;)

Parking is very limited. Like, 4 spots limited. I dropped the fam off and waited till a spot opened. The place is busy but fast. So I didn’t wait long. The food was delicious. Ordered the waffles and a sandwich. The mango smoothie was outrageous.

Oh my, I love this cozy little place. The location is literally right off the main beach road but they have managed to make it feel tucked away! I had the snook(smoked salmon, red onions, capers and cream cheese) on a steamed whole wheat bagel. This was SOOOOGOOD! I just had it yesterday morning and I cannot wait to go back for another. My friend had the greenpeace(avocado, cream cheese, provolone, and sprouts) on a spinach bagel. The coffee was good with a big variety of flavor shots to add to it– several were even sugar free! Just a few tables inside and a decent amount outside. But I can imagine this place can get very busy during season at normal breakfast. We went right after sunrise on a Sunday so not too busy but still a line. Friendly service, fast yummy meal in a quaint setting steps from the beach… what more could you ask for?!
