With limited options for good sushi, Domo is at the top of the list in FWB. It’s trendy but high quality and surprisingly fast. Medium sized interior, order at the counter and high likelihood of a line during rush times but quick turnaround. The tuna poke is delicious and incredibly filling with various flavors and textures. The bento boxes are also a good deal with the amount of food and variety; although not traditional mongolian the flavor of that option is very nice(my 2 year old even loves it). The sushi is high quality and rolled well. And who doesn’t love bubble tea?! All in all def a spot we’ve returned to and would highly recommend to those who enjoy good food.

First time coming here. As soon as we came in, we saw that it was full. This is a good sign that locals like the place and food will most likely be fresh. There’s a line and you get a menu and order at cashier. They give you number and bring your order to your table. We got the sweet and sour chicken bento box and the chicken teriyaki bento box. They were both very good and fresh. Lots of food for price.

Excellent service. We ordered and it took ten minutes to receive four rolls, rice, and noodles. The staff is extremely nice and the food was equally good. The sushi was delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant! Also, I ordered a coconut boba tea as a dessert and it was fantastic!

Not a traditional Japanese restaurant for sure. You first pick your food from the menu, pay, you get a number, you pick a table, then your food will come. And they have boba drinks. I had honeydew and it was really good. I’d come back for tapioca drinks since it’s so rare to find it around here. Sushi rolls are priced around the same compared to other sushi places but the quality was really fresh. The restaurant itself is pretty small but it’s quaint with cute wooden furniture sort of like benches and half booths. I also got a rice plate and I guess they all come in Togo containers which is okay. I will be returning to try other things in the menu.

An interesting place. They have 2 menus: sushi and Asian-fusion. The latter they provide a dozen or so types of preparations and you can get them with various combinations of meat(or vegetarian). They are served either as a bento box or as a bowl. I got the bento box. When you walk in you grab the menus and get a seat. Once you decide, you go to the register and order/pay. They give you a number and then bring the food out. The food was served hot and well presented. I am very happy with my selection! The place is clean and trendy. Cute. Basic black décor with some red lights highlighting shelves.

This is one of the few places in Destin/FWB area where you can get a Boba Tea. They have a large selection from fruity to nutty to Thai tea and the like. The boba consistency was overall good but could have been a tad less chewy throughout — but better that than too squishy. Oh, they also have food. I got a bento box and loved it. Beef bulgogi, rice, tempura veggies, a spring roll, a salad and a few orange wedges all for about $ 10. I really liked the variety and the amount of food you get. The servers are all friendly and nice too… even when it’s busy, which is most of the time.

I love all the choices you have for a bento box! Just pick a protein and a cooking style/flavor and you get to choose two sides. I had beef bulgogi with the pork dumplings and stir fried veggies and they didn’t disappoint! Pleasant employees and a chalkboard wall in the bathroom make this a fun and different place to have lunch.

Favorite sushi and Boba spot right now. Love their volcano roll. They remind me of home(San Diego, CA) Clean restaurant and bathroom. They even have stamp cards for boba drinks.

Wow! Another awesome off the beaten path find. My family had the bento box, however the suishi and the noodle bowls looked awesome too! Place is busy, staff is friendly. If your visiting our gulf coast, this is where the locals flock.

Excellent food, a cool, trendy décor, and extremely nice staff. My husband and I went for lunch on Valentine’s Day and loved our food; plus the restaurant had really cute Valentine’s decorations(ex: chocolates on the table). He got a curry pork katsu bento box with dumplings and pickled veggies. He really liked the dumplings and would highly recommend them. The pork was nice and crispy(maybe a bit tough) and the curry really elevated the meat. I got the sweet and sour tofu bento box with veggie spring rolls and cream cheese wontons. The tofu was the best I’ve ever eaten; it was cooked to perfection. Same goes for the spring roll. We shared a honeydew bubble tea, which was delicious. They have tons of tea flavoes so we can’t wait to go back. Generous helpings, good prices, amazing food = many return visits.

Since my family and I love Japanese food, we checked out Domo Café. The ambiance was not inviting and really boring, good thing the staff were friendly and the service was good. I ordered a bento plate consisted of mongolian beef(typical taste/nothing special), veggie tempura and fried pork dumplings(delicious), salad(tasty dressing), and white rice. The cucumber roll were not sliced in uniform sizes, most were too big to get into your mouth and not impressed with the presentation at all. My family did like what they ordered so we might come back to try the other dishes on the menu and change my rating.

I consider myself to be a connoisseur when it comes to a couple of things… Greek yogurt and sushi! The best Greek yogurt is Fage, and the best sushi restaurant in FWB, or the Panhandle for that matter, is Domo Café. I ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer and the tuna sushi sampler that comes with a tuna roll and 3 nigiri… all to go. I couldn’t wait so I tried the tempura in the car on the way home, and it was perfect. The breading was light and golden brown, and the shrimp was clean and fresh tasting. The tuna roll had a bright orange creamy sauce that was not pleasant yet not overpowering. The pieces of fish on my nigiri were exceptionally large and perfectly cleaned. There are two things that stood out to me about the sushi at Domo compared to others. The first was the rice. Sushi rice can be incredibly challenging to cook just right. Most places either serve rice that is too sticky, or rice that won’t stick at all and falls off. I can tell that whoever made that rice took their time to make it the way it should be, and when someone puts that kind of effort into their rice you can imagine how they treat everything else. You can tell this even by their choice of to go containers that are decorative compared to the usual. The second thing was the amount of fish in the roll. You absolutely get what you pay for at Domo café! I will be back for sure, and I hope they get their sign up soon so they will receive the success they deserve. The only reason I knew they were there was because I was going somewhere in the shopping center they reside in. Next time I go I am going to make sure I get some of their boba tea. I haven’t had boba tea since I lived in Houston!

This place is what it is, a café. For a small place, it sure does have a lot of variety. The food is delicious, sushi is fresh and service is great. I highly recommend any sushi and their chicken Katsu with Rangoon and pork dumpling. Mini Cons: It’s always warm and they don’t seem to turn up the AC. The furniture is cute but very small space, too cramped. Their menus are confusing and should be revamped. With that said, I normally order-to-go and avoid the latter, and I enjoy their food(well prepared, no shortage, well equipped with full-serving sauces on the side) at the comfort of my home. As for reviewee VicT, just because you had ONE bad day out of 4 visits does not really entitle THAT day’s review… you review in total.

Hailing from the Bay Area, I’m used to boba/Asian restaurants on every corner. So when my husband and I first arrived in FwB about 3 years ago we were quite disappointed in the minimal amount of Asian/sushi restaurants and lack of authenticity until we came across this little hidden gem! Since we were skeptic during our first visit we shared a rainbow roll, salmon don bowl, and pork katsu bento box… Everything was at a decent price and everything was beyond satisfaction and fulfilled our cravings! We’ll definitely be back for more… We found our go-to spot! Yay! Five stars for ambiance, food, and customer service!

Omg!!! A boba place in the area! The food is pretty decent and they have many flavors for the boba milk tea. Lived in California and New York and always had boba close by. Moving to fort walton beach was hard times as there was not one good boba place within like a 300 mile radius. Ok maybe that is an exaggeration but it’s practically southern Alabama here. They say there’s a boba shop at the mall but it’s not even good. This place also has a spicy challenge contest but it’s only on Sunday’s from 3 – 4. Eat one of there spiciest bowls within an hour and get your picture on the wall and a free korean bowl on your next visit plus a free boba. My husband got the chicken teriyaki and I got the salmon bento. We are planning to go back to try the other items on their menu. Awesome awesome place!

This is probably one of the best places to get bubble tea! I’ve tried their coffee, mocha, taro, coconut, and green tea ones so far and they all are absolutely delish. The food is out of this world! My favorite is the level 3 spicy beef bento box with the fried tofu and kimchee! I have no idea how they make the tofu but it’s delicious! I’m excited to try other dishes and my friends have nothing but great things to say about this place. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Not once have I had a problem with any of them being rude or unprofessional. They truly value their customers and every time I walk in, I’m greeted with smiles. I live about an hour away and you know the food is amazing when you and your friends are willing to drive every week to go eat there! Seriously, go try this place, you will never be disappointed! Great food, polite service, and delicious bubble tea, what’s not to like?!

I’ve finally found a good sushi spot in FWB! ***Just a quick background story*** I lived in the west coast most of my life; all throughout California and in Washington. Hands down those two states have amazing sushi. So when I moved to FWB, I had high expectations for sushi and seafood. Went to all the sushi restaurants in town and was not impressed. Most places are over priced for crappy sushi. Not until the other day, I was convinced that I wouldn’t find quality sushi here… First, Domo Café has a nice urban feel to it. I don’t really like that you have to order at the register, but that’s not going to make me dock a star. They offer two menus: one with sushi and the other«from the kitchen», which I honestly didn’t even look at but I’m assuming has the usual chicken katsu, udon and other cooked nom noms. We went straight for the sushi! Ordered the Volcano Roll, Kawaii Roll, salmon nigiri and a salmon sashimi bowl(Salmon Don). Everything was on point! The sushi rolls weren’t tiny like most places I’ve been to here in FWB. A lot of flavors and creativity. The Salmon Don was my favorite! Food and service was great. It didn’t take long for our rolls to be made. Oh! And they also serve Bubble Tea! A treat that I would get all the time back home. If you’re looking for good sushi, then this is the place! I’m so happy I found it!
