These guys were at Coyote Drive In during the early summer. Their wraps are very tasty and went well with a St Arnold’s Lawnmower on a hot summer night.

I should have put a tracking device on this food truck. It’s B&M is based out of Irving but the truck frequents the Arts District, in a parking lot in front of the symphony center. The menu consists mostly of «Indo-Chinese» wraps. In translation, its a mix of Chinese ingredients, with indian seasoning. In comparison, it’s an Indian version of «new American» food– a way to exhibit the flavors of an evolved, new age Indian cuisine. One wrap plus a side is around $ 10. It’s plenty of food but $ 10 for a sandwich that I have to eat elsewhere, with minimal overhead, is a bit of a rip. But if you’re not dissuaded, the Potato Wrap with Chili fries(the other kind) is the way to go.

When having to decide between plain old burgers and tacos, I definitely chose the Bombay food truck. You’ll not be disappointed, unless you have no taste in good food. Tried Bombay on Greenville at the St. Patty’s Day snoop dog concert. Delicious and just what I need while drinking and getting tons of son.

I was pretty excited to see an Indian food truck in the park today but I have to say… I was pretty disappointed. I ordered a plate with beef vindaloo and a cauliflower and pea mix that came with basmati rice, naan and a samosa. My husband got the same plate but with lamb curry and chicken tikki masala. All of the curries were really really greasy. The dishes did have a great spice to it but the pools of grease were off putting. I do have to say — the naan was warm and amazing and the samosa was rather yummy. Sad to say, I probably won’t be coming back.

I’m always a bit nervous about Indian food in Texas. Something usually gets lost in translation and I’m always left slightly disappointed — by presentation or flavor or interpretation. The Bombay Curry House(which also displays a slight for«Simply Dosas» so I’m not sure which is which) carries with it not the traditional Texas-meets-Mumbai flavor but more of what I’ve come to expect from a good London curry shop — flavor, quality, and just enough«hip-to-be-square» authenticity to be cool. I always dip a toe in the water when it comes to Indian. My go-to dish is Gobi(cauliflower). I had the Gobi Mattar served as a Kati Roll(wrapped up in naan) served with a side of raita. Verdict? Delish! I swung back by the next day for a second helping — this time a Gobi Mattar Kati Roll and also a Beef Vindaloo Kati Roll. I still think the gobi was the bomb diggity but the beef was great too. I’ll definitely be stalking this truck for reappearances… a great addition to the food truck lineup!
