I went to this chuy’s with my best friend. We had the sweetest, most kind and beautiful server. Her name was maegen. Totally recommend asking for her if any of the readers go there. The food was great as always also. Again shout out to maegen. Best server we have had in a long time.

SOFREAKINHOT! OH my goodness. I used to go for happy hour here often but not anymore. They never turn on the air conditioner. I want to have happy hour drinks to escape the heat, not to mention they run out of drink items and food items for long periods of time. Used to be a great place on 7th St., but these days it appears to be a free for all with no one taking care of things a restaurant should make a priority. Not going to this Tex-Mex chain again. Fort Worth has better to offer.

The service was great. We had a large party and accommodation couldn’t have been better. One waitress and we gladly added a tip on top of our tip. The food was typical. I also really enjoyed the atmosphere.

I definitely want to come back here and try something else. I don’t think I got the greatest experience compared to how hyped it is. The service was good as well as the food. Their chips are really thin and their salsa was more of a salty pico de gallo. I ordered a hatch chili sauce and it tasted like spicy stewed tomatoes. They have alright beans and mediocre rice. I would like to come back and order a burrito with their famous«boom boom sauce.» However I LOVE the atmosphere. It’s a really neat two level restaurant with lit patio and festive décor!!!

It’s a typical any-town American non authentic mexican restaurant. Hardly even tex-mex, more tex, less Mexico. Hard tacos, enchiladas, fajitas and burritos. Taco bell style food, Barf

This Chuys location is the closest to our house and one we have visited several times. It always has good service and good food. If you are looking for fresh Mexican food with a unique flavor then Chuys is a must try. This specific location has never disappointed us.

First time at Chuys and it did not disappoint. REALLYREALLYREALLYREALLY good margaritas. All their alcoholic beverages are really good. I got the chimichanga and it was good but I wish it would have been bigger. it seemed small compared to chimichangas at other restaurants(this is the overweight American that lives deep inside me speaking right now). Will be back to try something different!

This is our go to date night spot! Good drinks, good service, good food. This location in particular doesn’t have the best layout and the seating is a bit awkward. Queso compuesto, Texas martini, chuychanga and tres leches are delicious!

First off, their chips and salsa are ridiculous. To the point where you can’t help but eat so many of them that it impedes on your meal. Practice your self control, if you can. We especially though like Chuy’s because they are so vegan friendly. Beans can be really hard to get vegan sometimes, so it’s nice to know that you can get any beans here you want and don’t have to worry about them being cooked in lard. I usually get the vegetable enchiladas which are delicious, but if I’m going all out I go for their chile relleno. I’m a sucker for it. They have several different sauce choices to help mix your meal up. Atmosphere wise it is pretty fun. My only complaint is you sometimes get seated in this kitchen type room with tile that has terrible acoustics. If there’s a screaming baby or child in there, God help you and your ear drums. You also won’t be able to hear anyone else at your table, a fact you can strategically use to your advantage depending on who you are dining with.

After eating at a couple Chuys locations throughout Texas and being madly in love with them, it pains me to have the one closest to my new home be the worst tasting of them all. When I go to Chuys I always order my favorite: the Big As Yo Face Beef Fajita burrito with a side of sour cream. Unfortunately, this time mine came out more like a giant been burrito. I almost thought they had taken my order wrong until I found tiny baby pieces of beef in the burrito. So much disappointment. It was like eating a pound of refried beans wrapped inside of a tortilla. Also our waitress forgot my side of sour cream and seemed to forget about our table situated upstairs so by the time she came back and asked how the food was, we were pretty much done. Their side of salad and tomatoes could really use some help too. I feel like they gave us an amount equivalent to what you find in a $ 1 taco from Taco Bell. The drinks were delicious yes but I fell victim to looking at pictures and believing that the $ 10.25 Grandaddy’s Brew was bigger than the $ 8.50 Chuys brew. Turns out the only difference is the added small shot of Grand Marnier. Definitely not worth $ 2. The new Frozen Blackberry Marg was delicious though. 3 stars because the drinks and the boyfriend’s food was good. Service and my food needs some work.

I have wanted to review Chuy’s for a while; however, not everything on their menu is «my cup of tea» so to speak. I really have to be in the mood for their style of «Tex-Mex»(which I truly think is more of a New Mexico style cuisine; however, if they want to be called tex-mex, so be it). Some have said about Chuy’s, «You either love ‘em or hate ‘em.» Well, I don’t know about that. I think there can still be middle ground that can be conquered. Why the 5 star review? Because they are good. Not my personal preference in sauces necessarily; however, I do recognize a good restaurant. Don’t get me wrong, there are some things on the menu I not only like, but crave from time to time. I limit their menu by my personal preferences. That, and my lunch buddies absolutely go bonkers over the place… as does my wife and a few others I know. I almost removed a star for the«tex-mex» descriptor they give themselves, but I didn’t. If you ever find yourself being towed along by Chuy fanatics, don’t worry. Beyond the food, the place is always clean, the décor is refreshing, the staff is friendly, the service is great, and the food is prepared well. If you are a Texican Tex-Mex hardcore, then simply get the fajitas. I always get the beef ones and they are tender, juicy, and outstanding. You can’t go wrong with a «build your own» fajita when the ingredients are awesome. If you do, that is your fault, not Chuy’s. Also, my lunch buddies would twist my arm and make me cry«UNCLE» if I did not give a shout out to the Tortilla Soup. It may just be the best in town.

Went to Happy Hour with friends, most of them teachers as they were finishing up their first week of school. Had some great food and drinks. They have an excellent outdoor covered patio set up for a hot Texas summer day. Specifically, the Grandaddy’s Brew was pretty amazing! Our waitress Dakota spent the perfect amount of time checking in on us and make sure our happy cups were filled at all times and very accommodating for special requests. It’s one thing to have great food but it’s something else to have great food AND service. Great place to come hang out after a long week of work and finish off the week. Thank you for this great experience. See you soon!

I have been to this Chuy’s location many times during lunch and have never had a wait. While parking can be tricky, I appreciate that they have been quick to seat me, even with a larger group. While I have found much of their menu to be bland, there are quite a few menu items that are exceptional and everything I’ve tried has tasted bright and fresh. Their salsa is delicious and they have delicious tortilla soup. I almost always get quesadillas and I LOVE the buttery tortillas they use!

Chuys has become my favorite Mexican food restaurant of all time. This is a surprise to me. I was leery of them at first, as they tend towards an artsy tex mex feel, which generally is a red flag for me that means: WHITEBOYFOOD. Therefore, my wife and I usually find hole in the wall Mexican restaurants that don’t speak good English and we feel at home with the real deal. I guess I should mention we lived for 7 years near the Mexico border, so we’ve been exposed to some good basic simple real Mexican dishes. Chuys strength is evident in several ways: #1 — they make fresh homemade tortillas all day long. They are good, simply delicious! #2 — the sauces. Oh my word, this is the key that unlocked Chuys to me. Open the small flap on the right side of the menu. Look them all over. Then just tell the waiter that you want to try one of each. They will GLADLY bring you a free sampler of each sauce that you can then dip your chips and the fresh tortillas in to sample the flavors. My personal favorites are the Green Hatch Chili, it is spicy and the green hatch chili’s come through strong. Very rich in flavor. My daughter loves the jalapeño ranch. Their creamy tomatillo is excellent. Actually, I like them all to be honest, and each one is very unique. I really recommend you get to know their sauces with every visit. It is important as you then get to choose which sauce goes on your enchilada or chili relleno. #3 — Their #4 platter is the bomb. One enchilada(cheese, beef, or bean) and one Chili Relleno with beef or cheese. They make the second best Chili Relleno I have ever had, and that is saying a lot. The winner is a restaurant in Midland with a very unusual but fine recipe. I usually get a cheese enchilada and cheese chili relleno. I shake up the sauces each time, trying out the con carne, or the«boom boom» sauce, or the hatch green chili, and so forth. #4 — Their flan. It doesn’t matter if you like flan or not, get over yourself and order their flan. It is the richest best flan I have about ever had. You deserve it, just do it. #5 — Their Texas Martini is THEBOMB. For $ 9, you get a stiff large handmade margarita(not powder) in a large martini mixer. Then they serve a martini glass on the side, salted, with the requisite olive. The drink is strong enough and large enough to refill that martini glass over and over. One drink, shazaam! If it is a good night and I’m feeling adventurous, I will get a second one. Then my wife brings out the wheelchair to roll me to the car. Well, ok, a little hyperbole there, but you get the idea. You won’t need but two drinks, I assure you. $ 18 and done! #6 — I always find the service to be friendly, happy, and helpful. The only time, perhaps once, that they weren’t fully on top of their game, was when they were slammed with a long waiting line and things were hectic. I’ve been many times, and other than one exception, the service is always great. #7 — This place is clean. Every Chuy’s I’ve been into is clean clean clean. #8 — They have THEBEST shirts for sale. One I had to have is a black shirt with nacho chips arranged in the shape of Darth Vader’s helmet. Underneath it states: «I am nacho father!» I just find that too much fun. They just released a new one with a Mexican bandido drawing a pistol out for a fight. But his pistol is a star wars weapon. Underneath is states: «Juan Solo» Just makes me smile every time. the one thing I don’t care for consistently is their standard fresh salsa they serve automatically with chips. It is just mostly unflavored tomatoes with a ton of fresh onion. Some people like that, but I find it needs less onion, some jalapenos, and a ton of cilantro. I strongly recommend you get your butt to Chuy’s, sample every sauce they have including the«boom boom» sauce with your chips and fresh hot tortillas, and drink a Texas Martini. Finish it off with a sample of flan. Celebrate life people!

It had been a while since I had been to Chuy’s and my Dad wanted somewhere with a patio. Since I also had my niece and nephew in tow this was a good choice since they have a kids menu, coloring stuff and once we arrived there was a ton of other kids running about. This definitely wouldn’t be my choice if we didn’t have the kids with us. It’s pretty standard tex mex. It reminds me of Don Pablo’s or something similar where everything is run through a warming oven? The kids liked the food. My chicken enchiladas were tasty. The ‘skinny’ margarita I had tasted mostly like sour mix– I wouldn’t get that again. They have a pretty decent happy hour so I would check them out for that– otherwise if you’re not into kids environments head elsewhere.

Hands down the best queso I have EVER had at a Mexican restaurant. I think we have found out go-to Mexican place here in Fort Worth. I love how you can choose different types of sauces to put on top or with your foods. There are different choices than the usual queso, sour cream sauce, or chili. They take those usual sauces and twist them into their own creations. MAKESURETOASKFORTHEJALAPENORANCHWITHYOURCHIPS. We love variety when it comes to dipping. We have the salsa, jalapeño dip, and queso all lined up like a convener belt. It was delicious! I got the combination plate with a chili rellano and enchilada. perfect! Plus this place isn’t overpriced like how some Mexican places like to do. I mean come on its rice and beans? Inflation! Lol! Good job Chuy’s! I’m in love! YUMMYYUMMYINMYTUMMY!!! :)

YUMMY! Terry and I were in downtown Fort Worth for a meeting. After finishing the meeting neither one of us were in the mood to go home and cook so it was off the 7th Street to grab a bite to eat. The weather was perfect so we had to find a restaurant with an outside patio. We hadn’t been to Chuy’s in a while and when we drove by the patio wasn’t too crowded. It also looks out on Trinity Park so to Chuy’s we went. We were seated immediately and brought a basket of hot chips and their famous fresh salsa. Their salsa is somewhat like pico de gallo. It’s a nice change from the typical salsas. at the TexMex restaurants. My wife ordered the«lite» plate with a crispy taco and a side of guacamole. I ordered the plate with a chicken enchilada(topped with Hatch Green Chile Sauce) and a cheese chile Relleno with ranchero(red) sauce on top. The platter also came with a side of refried beans and rice. Both of our entrees were delicious, hot and seasoned to perfection. Our beer and margaritas were a perfect addition to our meal. We relaxed and«people watched» all the happenings across the street at Trinity Park.
