If you are in need of a hotel, don’t pick this one. We were given room 415 and the smell of pet urine(we were told it was vinegar) was so terrible. Called down and requested another room, but were told«every room» was booked and given a can of Lysol! The stink in the room is terrible! To make matters worse, I used a rewards night on this POS! It never seems to fail, every time I stay in a Holiday Inn I encounter issues. Seriously, drive a couple more miles and get a room at a Marriott!

I reserved 22 bedroom rooms 2 days before our Saturday evening stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Lake Worth. I reserved a 3rd1-bed room through Priceline early on the day of our stay. We had a first-rate experience. We checked in early for two of our rooms. Both of the rooms were non-smoking, but one of them smelled strongly(to our non-smoking noses) of cigarette smoke. We also decided at this time that we only needed one of our 2-bed bedrooms. We spoke with the manager on duty and explained the smoke smell as well as our reduced numbers and needing only one room. He was accomodating and dropped one of the rooms from our reservations/bill. The room was large with 2 queen beds, a wet-bar, a sitting area, and a twin hide-a-bed. We were able to check into our other room later in the day. This room was plenty big with a king-size bed and ample accomodations. On check out the next day we found out that our Priceline(which is paid for through Priceline) and our earlier reservations had gotten confused in the system to the point that we were still being charged for 3 rooms — one of which we never used! The morning manager on duty was very accomodating and moved our charges around so that we were only charged for the one single-bed bedroom(and Priceline got the other one). The hotel is relatively new in the grand scheme of things — a little over a year old I believe. The breakfast and snacks throughout the day are quite nice though not much for vegetarians such as ourselves. The beds are clean and sleep-in-able, but not the most comfortable. Overall, if we were in need of a place to stay in the area again, we would choose this Holiday Inn.
