how many times has this happened to you: You’re in the car with your furry pal and then realize that you are paralyzed by a hunger like you have never known before. You don’t want drive through(yuck!) and you can’t leave the little furry guy in the car to bake… what’s a girl to do? Well, you can hit up Love Shack if you’re on 7th street in FTW(well, at least until they move on May 31st). They have a lovely patio, daily drink specials and live music. Plus, pups are welcome. They even bring out doggie bowls! The burger were no kibble, we got a single cheeseburger and an order of fries. The burger was positively lovely. They mix in some smoked brisket to add more flavor. The fries were thin and crispy. So yummy. We each also had a beverage of the adult variety. Mine was the Arnold Palmer — perfect mix of iced tea vodka and lemonade. Hubbster(you didn’t think the pup had a drink, did you??) had a margarita which wasn’t too bad, either.

Not to be confused with the Love Shack in the stockyards… Dollar beers on Thursdays! However, I have heard rumors that the same happy hour specials will not be continued into the summer months, which is not cool, Tim Love. I do enjoy the live music, outside seating and AWESOME, unique bar food. Try the fried cheese or, my personal favorite, the Chili Parmesan Chips(with ranch…). Andy the bartender is always on his game and a very friendly face to see every week. Great place to bring your dog(water bowls provided), sit in the shade with a cold beer, make some new friends and play a game of washers.

Terrifically seasoned burger. High quality beef. Beer available. Outdoor seating with a live band on some days. But, terrible skinny little shrively fries. It is ALMOST the perfect burger place.

«If you see a BIG sign by the side of the road that says 15 miles to the, Love Shack! Love Shack yeah I’m head in’ down 7th So., look’in for a burger Heading for the dirty love. burger, I am seeking out a burger, it’s topped with bacon, cheese and hey what about some quail! We’re head in’ on down to the Love Shack I got a margarita, there’s live music & a patio of 20 So come on and bring your tip jar money! The Love Shack is a lil ‘ol place where we can pig out togetha Love Shack baby, Love Shack bay-bee Tim Love baby, that’s where it’s at, Oh love baby, that’s where it’s at Sign says, Woo, stay away fools, ’cause Tim Love rules. at the Love Shack!» — - - You order at a window unless you find a spot at the bar where you can open a tab. It was a(n)(early) sunny Sunday with live music on the patio. Intentions were to grab a burger and hit a museum but between the music and the jalapeño cucumber margarita, let’s just say it was the perfect day for some day drinking. I ordered the dirty love burger(seriously is there any other way!), the free chili parm potato chips(free if you check in on Unilocal) and a water. After seeing all the fun everyone was having, I soon was enticed by that cucumber margarita. The burger patty is 6 ounces of ½ prime tenderloin and ½ prime brisket and ground fresh daily. The patty itself was just OK, the quail egg too small for such a burger but the real prize was the bacon. The bacon was perfectly crisp, good quality and some of the best bacon I have had. The chips were decent, I liked the chili pepper seasoning and the parm. I loved the margarita. They muddle the cucumber, add fresh slices of jalapeño and it is served on the rocks. The margarita, live music and atmosphere is what really makes this location of Love Shack stand out. I felt like I could(not speaking for my liver) sit here all day and soak up the sun, music and margs. On a side note they are dog friendly. They have two taps one is St. Arnold’s root beer and a rotating Rahr. They also have brunchtails, decent wine and a full bar.

Delicious burger. Great fries. Reasonable prices. The only thing(which people will very much disagree with me on) was I wasn’t a fan of the Love Sauce — to me it didn’t add much to my burger. But it’s not enough for me to take off a star.

My first experience here was so-so, but I went last night with a friend and it was ten times better. We came about 7:00pm when it was still nice out and the weather hadn’t dipped down to cold yet. They had a good crowd out on the patio, $ 1 Coors/Bud/Miller bottles and $ 2 wells on special. I chose the dirty love burger(¼ patty, bacon, cheese, and a quail egg) while my friend had a standard cheese burger. Both burgers were cooked medium and perfect; the weather was nice, the beer was cold, decent music playing and a good crowd. Since the Cowtown half, full, and ultra were earlier that day there were a good number of folks there chowing down on the burgers as a reward. My friend did the half and then we played an indoor game out at Stampede. She definitely deserved the cheese burger and 2 beers we had, as did the other Cowtown participants there that day. Once the sun went down they turned on the propane heaters, threw some wood in the fire and provided marshmallows for smore’s. I’d recommend Love shack for the casual atmosphere, good burgers, and good overall vibe to the place.

A magnificent disaster. The experience begins with an akward order window. In the window this fine day was a young lady with highway patrol sunglasses who had the attitude to go with it. I’m sure she wanted to be somewhere, but taking our order wasn’t the place. To makes things worse, she was training a new employee. I’m pretty sure courtesy wasn’t part of the lesson today. We ordered a Love Burger and a Love Turkey Burger. One order of skinny fries. What came was two cheeseburgers, I think. The burger was overcooked and a few bites in we both looked at each other and wondered about this Love Sauce and if they simply forgot it. We didn’t have much time so we just ate what came. Having eaten at the amazing RG Burger in Denton two weeks ago, this place didn’t stand a chance. If RG was a 10, this was a 2. This place is overrated, big time.

Great place for a great burger and a fun atmosphere! I realize that In-N-Out has moved in just down the road, but Love Shack is what Texas and Fort Worth burgers are all about! The food and burgers are amazing here. Chef Tim Love and his team do a great job and adding a perfect seasoning to the burger that pops in your mouth! Where else can you get the«Dirty Love»? Which is a burger with a quail egg on it! Very unique and delicious! The atmosphere here is great. Nothing like sitting at tables outside and listening to some music! They have daily drink and food specials. Not sure if this is still going but they did have a deal that when the temp outside is below 32 then food is half off. If you haven’t checked this place or the many other amazing burger joints in FW then get out of the In-N-Out drive through and get a real burger! Texas Style!!!

Okay after the damn confusion and frustration at the so called, In-N-Out I saw Love Shack sign and remembered reading my Unilocal friend(Ron B) review along with a very good report in the FW Weekly and decided to give it a try. It was an open house patio with live band entertainment after 6pm, Nice! Plus some good Happy Hour specialty drinks. Ordering is very simple and well posted. The young bartender took my order(Love Shack Burger, Fries and Sweet Tea), for $ 9 and some change, not bad. I proceeded to the deserted area under the umbrella and took in the breezy view sipping on my sweet tea that tasted well brewed and sweeten just right. The bartender came over and informed me that my order was delayed due to an oversight. She apologized and asked if she could offer a shake. Now, how sweet is that?! I tell you, God must intended for me to try their shakes because the Peppermint one that I had was heavenly good. Meanwhile, my burger was seasoned perfect in a very tasty toasted bun. Fries were strangely cut like shoelaces. With a perfect combination my mouth was savoring every mixture. Chef Tim, high five and a tip of my Chef hat to ya! If there’s more TV’s and better music next time than I’ll add the other star…:()

Great burgers and drink specials during football games. This is Tim Love’s new project since starting«Lonesome Dove» and boy does he deliver! The burgers are amazing and in true Time Love style they even offer one with a fried Quail egg on it. The drink special is a great idea, you add up what the score is and whatever that last digit is it corresponds to a different drink special. It’s a great idea from gamblers made even better!

For Chef Tim Love’s burger venture, I guess i expected something more than the experience that I had for lunch. The restaurant itself is very unique, but a bit hidden if you don’t know where to be looking. Spaciously speaking, there is plenty of outdoor seating, whereas the interior is limited to a couple bar stools. Clearly the concept is to get in and get out, as the restaurant only accepts cash tender, and the order process inside encourages one to order, stand and wait, and then clear out. The bar is interesting. From what I could gather, the bar serves as a 360 in that it serves to both indoor and outdoor, positioned along the partition to be able to close off to outdoor service. Of course, being a Tim Love venture, there is the obligatory Tuaca machine on the counter and a sliding liquor caddy hung on one side should someone move towards top shelf. As for the design, its very college-town hole-in-the-wall meets 1950’s burger shop. It has the tell tale easy clean white tile floors, counter stools, and look through kitchen window of burger joints past, blended with creating ‘That Spot’ where college students come back to 20 years later to show their kids what it was like in the old days. That vibe is created with the chalkboards of weekly drink and food specials, and an extensive list of musical artists coming in for their chance to showcase their skills, and nightly to if I may add. All of these things being said, the menu was a bit unremarkable. The burgers are actually few to choose from, and each is accompanied by the chef’s signature«Love Sauce.» Haha, its certainly a mayo substitute that could stand a renaming, based on the unfortunate name of the chef combined with its presence, but that is no knock on the sauce itself, just the chef showing a great sense of personality. Well done, Tim. The burger combinations weren’t incredibly awe-inspiring by any stretch of the imagination, which is what i was hoping for coming from the chef’s other ventures’ namesakes and creativity. One burger showcases a fried quail egg, other avocado and such. I went for the ‘Gourmand.’ i personally love bold flavors that swirl and allow one another to sing, and this just wasn’t it. The lamb bacon was thick-cut and pleasantly smokey, however it was also overwhelming to the arugala’s lack of peppery presence, and the actual flavor of the beef itself. Unfortunate based on the fact that the beef is supposed to be Prime in caliber. The onion rings are the one thing I would go back for however. Being an Atlanta transplant, they conjured every experience I had growing up and eating at ‘The Varsity,’ which I consider to be the Cadillac of onion rings. Paper thinly sliced and seasoned beautifully, the generous portion of rings truly made me nostalgic. I’ll maybe go back to check out the night life/music scene and see if its a different scene, but for the price, I’ll probably venture elsewhere for lunch from now on, if not just for those onion rings.

I have no idea how this place has only three stars on Unilocal!but the Dirty Love burger is the best burger I’ve ever eaten, period. The Patty is tasty and juicy, the American cheese is melting perfectly, the sauce is terrific, the quail egg is out of this world, and the lamb bacon, yes the lamb bacon is… no words suffice to describe it. This burger is the most delicious burger I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve eaten a lot of good ones, trust me. Still can’t find a better burger than Dirty Love. Can’t wait to go back to this place and get some Dirty Lovinnnn!!!

So since my initial visit in February, I’ve been back twice. Had the dirty love burger once, and then the blue group burger the second time. Wow, some serious burgers. During the time between my initial visit and the subsequent ones, I had visited several other burger establishments in the Fort Worth area(dutch’s, tommy’s, pappas, etc.) but none compare to Love Shack, not only in terms of taste but also creativity. Particularly, the blue group burger. Oh my gosh, what an unusual burger. Some may not like the blue cheese on it, but i liked it because it just added an extra dimension to the burger that i had never had in a burger before. What really made the burger, however, was the grilled green onion. I found it interesting that they used a green onion instead of the usual round. But it was a very smart move; the green onion really cut through the blue cheese so that neither the onion or cheese was overpowering. Well done, love shack, well done!

The Love Shack — came here back in early-mid October on notice of its place in Texas Monthly’s list of top burgers in the state. I am not shy when it comes to food, so I went ahead and got the Dirty Love burger combo. Starting with the meat — wonderful flavor, and have seen that tenderloin and brisket combine to become a burger patty. Wouldn’t expect anything less from the fantastic Tim Love! The fried quail egg was a nice touch, and definitely had a little different flavor from a normal egg. The Love sauce, bacon, and everything in the burger combined for an out-of-this-world flavor, which I will most definitely come back for! The fries were hand-cut and thin, which provided an interesting touch to the meal! Also, a Dos Equis paired nicely.

It’s a Texas version of NYC’s shake shack. But this place is called«Love Shack». Their burgers are delicious and have clever names. I will write a more thorough review when I try more things. However! This is a MUSTTRY! They have a burger called«Love in the boom boom room» its a burger with a second party that is a portabello mushroom partie! Ridiculously good. The texture and taste makes this an amazing place to eat. Seating is limited and its a little hard to find. But its a jewel hidden I’m Fort Worth. Definitely worth checking out.

Pretty good and priced more reasonably than you might expect for a Top Chefs burger. However, I’m in no hurry to return. Nothing really sets the burger apart. I had whichever one is topped with a portabella mushroom. I couldn’t taste any of the love sauce or the mushroom really. The chile parmesan chips just tasted like regular chips. Out of the basket, only 5 or 6 visibly had parmesan on them. The onion rings were really good though and probably the best part of the meal.

Alright Tim, you move up one star. Congratulations. Let’s see what’s behind door #1. Voila! A Year supply of Love Sauce! No, not really. After so many people have told me how great this place really is and that my past experiences were anomalies, I decided to give it another shot. I still love the great big outside patio with the sign that says«Please do not write on the walls»…I mean someone had to do this in order for them to put up a sign, but I digress… Got there around noon and boy was it crowded. When I finally reached the counter, I begin to place my order when the guy goes«hang on» and walks away. Then he comes back a minute later and walks away again. This happened about 3 times.(getting irritated… can’t a girl just order?). Finally he comes back, apologizes and I place my order. Love burger, no tomatoes with a side of fries and a chocolate shake(mmmm). He then tells me my total and hands me my little numbered heart and starts to hand me a cup and goes«Oh you didn’t order anything to drink…» I go, «yes, a shake». Then he goes, «right I know». What? Whatever, I just take my numbered heart and sit with my friends. When my food arrives, I have to say it looked MUCH more appetizing than the first time around. The center was perfectly cooked, but my friends came kinda rare. Less oil all around and the bun was nice and buttery. I took a bite and WHAM… nothing. Still couldn’t taste the love sauce(my friends now think I’m crazy), but after a few more bites I started noticing it and the dill flavor. I quite liked it. The fries were much better and since I went on different day of the week this time, so the ‘shake of the day’ was chocolate, and it was scrumptious(ignoring the fact I got my shake halfway through my meal)!!! The service was good, cleared my tray when I finished and the waitress actually made a joke. Good for you. I think I’m finally starting to feel the Love… will be back.

I actually finished the whole burger for the first time in a very long time, The fries were good, meat was cooked perfect, sauce was alright(I added mayo to it since I can never eat a burger without it), chocolate milkshake was great, outdoor patio was amazing! this will def. not be the last time I come here

This Love shack is another branch of Tim Love’s Love Shack Burger joint in the stockyards. Much smaller, and simpler, but cozy. Service is alright, although most of the customers were of the«business lunch» class. After reading the multitude of reviews online for the original store, I was eager to get my hands(and my mouth) on a delicious burger. I ordered the Dirty Love Burger with onion rings and Root Beer. The Dirty Love Burger is topped with a quail egg and bacon, which is quite tasty. The only problem is, the burger isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. I’ve honestly had much better, in smaller places. The onion rings, on the other hand, were very very very good. Flavorful, a messy delight filled with hints of cumin, coriander and garam masala. Yup, that’s the elusive taste that’s rolling around in your mouth. The root beer is pretty good, but the refill cost can be detrimental Cost: 11.95 total for the dirty love burger(single patty), onion rings, small root beer.
