This is what I miss most about living in the South.
WAFFLE HOUSE!
Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuit, smothered potatoes, and GRITS drowned in butter.
Grits…yummmmmmmm.
What’s up with people not knowing what grits are out here yo?! Cali better hop on it. Hit me up. I make the best grits ever. Ever.

I hadn’t been to a Waffle House in ages until tonight, on Christmas Day, when nothing else in town was open other than the Jack in the Box across the street with the insanely long drive-​thru line wrapping around the block.
Waffle House STILL serves low priced meals after all these years. Awesome hash browns with your pick of toppings (smothered, slathered, diced, chunked, etc.). My dad and stepmom had the All-​Star special breakfast while I opted for the appetizing Grilled Texas Turkey Melt with double order of hash browns. Yum!
I love how everything is grilled right in front of you. It might not be the cleanest looking place in the world, but hell, Waffle House is a Southern staple and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
We enjoyed our meals, paid with a sizable tip, and went on our merry ways. Ah, what a way to end a Christmas day! For that, I’ll be generous with three stars vice the normal 2 stars I’d rate this place.
