I’m not GYM fanatic at all, when we joined –Y– a year a go I thought its just waste of money. Husband and I started to play racquetball at least two nights a week, the courts are on the third floor and very comfortable, if you don’t have your own equipment and wanted to play –Y has plenty and will loan them to you for time being. Second floor has all the running and work out machines are can get crowded on weekdays from 11:00 to 13:00. There are plenty of classes(see Y web page if you need specifics)

I joined this Y in April and have been going pretty regularly since then. It is a smallish gym. I appreciate that it isn’t overly… meat markety. As an older fat chick, I feel comfortable there, not intimidated.(I’m easily intimidated I confess) I do love the pool and swim(or do water aerobics) most every day. I would love it if there were more water aerobics classes at more convenient times for working people but I do laps on the other days. I’m always a little surprised when they close the pool due to lightning. It’s indoor. I don’t get it.(And a quick google search agrees with me but whatevs not a huge issue). They have fun contests and seemingly decent childcare for those who are exercising. The locker room(at least the woman’s) is clean and well kept with housekeeping circulating regularly. All the staff I’ve encountered have been fun and energetic and nice. It is a happy place to go. My only complaint is that I’ve been spoiled by previous gyms who had the pool and locker room right near each other. I don’t like having to go down the hall and through the basketball courts to get to the elevator to go down to the pool. Otherwise it is pretty dang good.
