YWCA Fort Worth & Tarrant County

Its such a pretty place to get married. My daughter got married there. We liked the staff and the main ball room. Great for photos, nice stair way.
The only problem we had was the elevator.
Great kitchen down stairs small one attached to the ball room. I recommend using disposable or those great looking look a like dishes.
I also cater here occasionally.

Unlike Dallas, Ft. Worth preserves their history without fuss. The YWCA is one such spot that has been preserved and restored to pristine condition. It is a fabulous location and is still an active location for activities across the street in a new building. This buildings architecture is beautiful and the artisan nature had gone the way of the dinosaurs. The staff makes each event spectacular as if you are the only ones that will ever use the place. They are ready, willing, and able to give you all the history of the locale with enthusiasm! I attended my friends wedding and it was a wonderful setting for the occasion. The updated the building so it is disabled accessible but the rest is still original sown to the pillars. If you don’t mond the trek to Cowtown, this is a great location for your special day. There are plenty of hotels nearby in case you get a bit tipsy! Parking at the meters is free after 6p and weekends.

If you’re planning a wedding in Fort Worth and are on a budget and/​or looking for a romantic/​historic feel, definitely check this place out! I loved it the minute I walked in, when I was planning my 2011 wedding. At that time at least, you can book just the upstairs ballroom, just the downstairs «Great Room,» or both, and the fees are extremely reasonable. The fee is for the use of the building and tables and chairs for 175 people. You bring in anything else you want to have — the linens/​décor, caterer, alcohol, DJ, etc. They do have a couple rules that are clearly stated in their contract — no additional chairs, no margarita machine. Anyway, it was a completely stress-​free experience working with them and it was the perfect reception location.
