Captain Sid’s Seafood and Deli is a kinda a trip back in time. It is in what I would call an old style Al’s diner from Happy Day’s. It is a real cool place and has been in this location for about 10 years I think. When I first moved to the area I lived in Fredericksburg for about 2 years and Captain Sid’s was the best place to stop and get lunch in town. I love the cheese steak sub it comes in two sizes 6″ and 12″ and well I will tell you the 6″ is enough for at least 2 people in my opinion. It comes in several varieties: Original(provolone, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion), the Philly(add a slice of American to the Original), the All American(slap on a couple of pieces of bacon) and the Super Steak and Cheese(take away the bacon and the American cheese, add mushrooms and green peppers) and I can’t forget the Chicken cheese steak! Yummy This is place also has delectable sandwiches like turkey and cheese, BLT, roast beef, egg salad and all the sandwiches you would expect to see in a local deli along with some great fried seafood. I love this place it is a local family run business and they treat you like you are family when you are eating with them. It is a local lunch favorite. It is a small diner with a few outside table and well to be honest it smell’s like French fries but serves some of the best subs I have ever had in my life. When you’re done at Captain Sid’s walk across the street and have some Carl’s ice cream
