Not only do they have beer for all types of drinkers, but they have some great people working. Did a beer tasting and they were very knowledgable. Robert helped us find more to do in Fredericksburg and Walt let us take some good honeymoon pictures

What a fun place! Friendly, hopping(no pun intended … hops, beer.) and great service. Six beers are featured. My personal favorite: Pedernales Classic. The Lobo Negro is rich without the bitterness of many dark beers. $ 10 buys you 4 fills of an 8 oz souvenir glass. A must do when In Fredericksberg.

Perdernales is a small brewing company and a must when making a trip to Fredericksburg. Came there 10 min. before closing and missed the tour, but one of the worker was nice enough to let us get a beer. Looking at their wall you will see that a lot of their beers are recipients of multiple awards! Tried the LOBO Negro and Oktoberfest and both are fantastic. This oktoberfest is the one that got me into oktoberfest-style beers! We also met an old gentleman who is from Munich and lives there part time who told us that the LOBO negro«tastes close to home.» So there ya go – come here and try some pretty tasty beers that are true to their style!

Ventured here with my dog and boyfriend last weekend and had an absolute amazing time. The staff were super friendly and very hospitable. The brewery was open and inviting and even had a cute patio for mingling. The beer was phenomenal and I would highly recommend this brewery to my friends and family. We hope to visit again soon!

There’s more than wine in Fredericksburg! There is actually great beer too. For being such a young brewing co., it is refreshing to see a non pretentious locale to learn about brewing good, drinkable beer. Surprisingly, I don’t drink much beer and was in Fredericksburg with my husband who drinks a lot of beer for our Anniversary. After hitting 3 other vineyards, I planned this stop for him after seeing the other reviews on Unilocal.$ 10 for 6 tastes with a souvenir glass? Bargain. A tour was also included where you could win additional tokens for more free beer. We closed it down on the eve of 4th of July weekend and had a pleasant talk with both gentleman running the taps. And since we live nearby in Spicewood, we will definitely be returning.

We passed the road and had to turn around but it’s well worth it. $ 10 for 4 tasting tokens– 8 oz each. It’s a small place with a laid back vibe and delicious beer.

Visiting all the wineries out in Fredericksburg? Why not visit a brewery too? These guys have quite an impressive operation going on out here, with their Lobo beer. Love the fact that they’ve got the largest long neck in Gillespie County out there! The beer is fantastic, and they’ve got quite a variety of different ones to try. They’ve got a tasting room to be able to go through all the beers, and they offer tours. This brewery has been cranking out really high quality beers! It’s really quite worth the stop on the way to F-Burg! $ 10 gets you a bunch of samples, in a pint glass you get to keep. Absolutely worth it.

Great little brewery and the only one in town. It’s $ 10 for four 8 oz samples of beer and you get to keep the glass. Tour guide was awesome and very informative. May look a little rough on the outside but don’t let that discourage you. Go in and have a beer.

LOVED my visit to Pedernales Brewing. The staff were wonderful, incredibly friendly and informative. Their passion for beer is felt almost immediately. Not to mention the drinks are delicious. A lot of lager varieties and a few delicious ales — really liked the recently launched Midnight Porter. The master brewer said a West Coast IPA is in the works… those aren’t too easy to come by in these(Germany-loving) parts, but I’m sure it will be delicious! My only regret was not staying long enough. :)

For being smack dab in the middle of wine country, Pedernales has a lot to offer in terms of great beer. We got to try all 6 of their beers and tour the premises for $ 10. They have a nice sitting area outside and inside — not too large, but enough to accommodate a small group. Their tour was informative albeit informal. It was awesome to see their bottling machine and learn about their bottling and labeling process! The staff is really laid back and they love talking beer. We even hung out with them after hours just chatting about beer and other cool things to do in Fredericksburg. Check them out and give this new brewery some attention it deserves!

I tried all 6 of the 6 beers on tap(Hefe, Oktoberfest, Negro, IPA, Lito, Texas Lager). They were all delicious. And the brewery tour was one of the most informational and in-depth brewery tours I’ve attended. I will definitely come back next time in in Fredericksburg. My favorite beers were the Hefe and the Negro.

A couple of us went to the brewery on a Friday and place was pretty busy because they’re only open for two hours. There was a serious lack of seating inside and outside the 4 – 5 picnic tables had one couple each, so we had on a brick wall for most of the time. Their beers are great, but there was nothing available that I couldn’t find around town for the same price. We all bought pint glasses and I’ll be excited to try their Oktoberfest. I hope they get some help expanding the«tasting room» with some more seating and décor.

I took my wife on a day trip to the wineries on Texas 290, with the stipulation I could stop here at the end of the day. For $ 10, you get a souvenir glass and 48 ounce samples. They had their standard 5 brews on tap and a seasonal filtered Hefeweizen. While lagers and hefes aren’t my style, I still enjoyed their Lobo, Lobo Negro, and the filtered hefe.

Spent Saturday 4⁄26 here to celebrate their 2 year anniversary– complete with food trucks and music! My husband and I had a blast trying the several different beers and meeting people from all walks of life. I love the Hefeweizen and the Lobo Negro! Everyone was extremely friendly and held great conversation and more than willing to answer any questions. You can tell the staff are passionate about their work and they truly enjoy what they do. The tour was informational and interesting– straight and to the point and made sure everyone had a full glass before the tour! We are looking forward to our next visit!

If you like beer, tours, and Fredericksburg, then you have to stop by. $ 10 gives you 6 generous tastings and a glass to take with. They also include a tour if you’re interested. We stopped by after lunch and sampling some local beers so wasn’t able to drink it all. Had I know, we would have just skipped our tastings during lunch and waited. Everyone here is very friendly along with the guests. If you’re in town then you have to visit! I can’t wait to come again with another group of friends.

Visited Pedernales Brewing Co about a month ago with my Dad, and had a great time! We went during the tasting room hours and got to try all the different beers. Delish! We also got a tour of the facility, which was informative and cool to see how they operate. Everyone was very friendly, and it was a perfect beer«getaway» from all the Fredericksburg wineries! I will definitely be back next time I visit Fredericksburg, and always keep an eye out for their beer in Austin HEB’s.

Awesome tour! $ 10 and I learned so much about BEER! This is beer even I will drink! I am so not a beer drinker but the hubs is so I went for him. I liked 5 of the six beers we tasted. BIG samples and friendly people! I had no idea they have only been in business for 17 months. What a cool operation! Definitely take this your. It is not long and was really fun! Robert and Bob were awesome. We felt like family by the time we left. Hubs said he has a new beer now. Not buying any other any more. The Lobo Lito was really crisp and clean. My favorite was the Negro. Tastes like really good coffee! The Hefe-Weisen was my second favorite! Went to HEB right after and bought some! ran into Robert there giving samples and he remembered us before i said a thing! Looking forward to seeing great things from this company!

On a weekend getaway to Fredericksburg we decided to visit Pedernales Brewing Company partake in their tasting. With a lawyer, a nuclear physics graduate, an architect and a radio personality it is needless to say that these folks come from diverse backgrounds. The brewmaster, Peter McFarlane, was the brewmaster for Leinenkugel’s and former production manager at Rouge Ales. $ 10 gets you a glass to keep, 6 tastes which are about 8.5 ounces each and if you go early enough a tour. Our tastings were poured by the President and CEO Lee Hereford. He was very knowledgeable about various brewing processes and their history. For instance they serve a Lobo Lite beer which is a pilsner but he fancies it to be a session style beer. They actually brew the Lobo Lite to be a light beer versus taking the cheap way out that the big guys do of literally watering down their beers. He shared session style beers must be 4% abv or less and were designed to be light enough to drink during lunch and dinner«sessions» and still be able to return to work etc without being drunk. I tried the Lobo Negro, Lobo Lito and their seasonal Oktoberfest. I like dark beers such as ports and stouts and their Lobo Negro which is a dark lager ended being my favorite of the three. Its dark and rich without being heavy and thick. The Lobo Lite is only 90 calories and summer pilsner. It was a bit light for my taste but tasted much better than the monster breweries light beers. The Oktoberfest took me by surprise as I usually don’t favor most breweries Oktoberfest. It is a darker beer and had a nice flavor. This company is blowing up. Their taps can be found all over Austin and a hand full of places in Fredericksburg and San Antonio. They bottle their beers on site and I have found their beers at my local convenience store. I recommend getting their early, we only had an hour so we didn’t get to partake in all the tastings or the tour. Their tasting room hours are 3 – 5 pm on Fridays and 1 – 5 pm on Saturdays.
