Shakers Pizza

I was very disappointment in the cleanliness of this restaurant. I have lived in Fremont all my life and had never been so I decided to check it. At the glance they had a great salad bar with a lot of selection until I went to serve myself. The salad bar was infested with fruit flies. I told the manager and he said «wow that’s incredible, they weren’t any a little bit ago.» Fruit flies do not just show up all of a sudden. They immediately went over to the salad bar and started moving everything to clean as soon as they realized how bad it was. Very disgusting and will not be back that joint.

I’ve had issues with Shakers in the past. They have ALWAYS been resolved. However, today after my pizza which was made wrong which caused a delay. I asked to speak the manager. I was told after the employee spoke with the manager «owner» my pizza was free.
I don’t care about the money. I just wanted to walk in and walk out with a pizza. After a short delay, he stated I was busy at the bar. I stated maybe he should hire more people.
At which point, he went off. He accused me of being drunk and/​or being under the influence of something.
Further, I should tell not him how to run his business. He stated I’m banded from coming into his business which I would never do. The employee was embarrassed visually by her employers actions.

This place is an amazing pizza joint! My co-​worker told me to go here because he use to go here as a kid. I was a little skeptical about it because I have some other pizza places I go to that I really love but it turned out to be amazing!
Great suggestion and great pizza place!
I will definitely be showing up to this place a lot more often!

L-​Salami, Beef,/Combo with my Brother and had a few Cokes while catching up.
The pizza was Amazing great Sauce!
Plenty of Toppings!
I even got a Medium Half Combo Half Vegetarian to take Home.
They make the Best Pizza!
I will Be Back for Sure.
The Staff were all very friendly and accommodating
I asked my to-​go pizza have a baking sheet on the bottom and they gladly obliged my request.

Big change!!!
Salad bar used to have artichoke hearts, all gone. Staff used to clean salad bar and pick up salad patrons dropped to keep it clean. Caught staff throwing food dropped on counter back in containers.
Ordered sodas. Had to convince whomever was behind the bar we had ordered. Big problem,
Sat at booth. Food on benches and on floor. Asked politely if the staff would clean since not too many customers, never did. Had to move.
Food came. Asked for a little more crisp in the crust. Got the opposite, uncooked. Had to send it back.
Trying to last by finishing salad. Pizza came. Server grabbed bowls even with salad in bowls. Asked manager for new bowls to finish since server put fingers inside bowl. He said no.
Pizza finally came back burnt on edges and barely cooked in middle. Owner came over and lifted pizza with unwashed bare hands and said looks cooked to me. We left.

Once again Shakers is 5 stars in my book.
We have always loved the service and atmosphere here so we decided to go back after 4 month.
My faith is renewed.
We actually went twice this week. Once after work during the week and tonight with the family.
I ordered the meatball sandwich the other day and it was damn good.
Tonight I got a Calzone with sausage, onion, garlic and artichokes. I can honestly say it is the best Calzone I have had in the bay area. Love that the sauce is on the side and not cooked in so it doesn’t get soggy.
Everyone else went with a mini pizza deal. Comes with a mini 1 topping, a single trip to the salad bar and a soft drink. For under $ 7. Perfect so everyone gets the toppings they want and not over eating.
Half size beer pitcher for under $ 7 as well. About 4 beers. Another great deal. Good choices on tap.
Looks like we will be back more often.

This review is long overdue. We lived in Fremont for about 6 months and visited this pizza restaurant as much as twice a week. They don’t deliver but that never stopped us. This pizza is GREAT ! If you’re looking for take out just call ahead :) It’s worth the drive. Very family friendly environment of you want to dine in too.

I was not going to write a review, because I have being coming to this Pizza Place for years and years, I have recommended this place to all my friends and Family, because I have to tell you this is the best Pizza I have ever tasted, The Ladies who work here are great, the people who serve are always the best, but last Saturday, I planned a Family Re/​union which was very important for me, decided to have a Pizza Party at shakers, I called 4 days in advanced to reserved a place for at 25 people. I called 2 days before for the special Pizzas that my family desire, there was a disappointment, when they told me that they did not have the Special where they used to give you salads with your Pizza, but I thought it is fine I buy 10 Salads, if we need more we would buy more. I came earlier to make sure that everything was O.K. and I told the owner and the girl which took my order that I wanted my Pizzas between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the table, I left my Credit Card at the desk, and I told them to give me sodas beer and everything I need it, I will total it at the end.
My friends and Family did not come all at 4:00 p.m. naturally they were coming from work, or what ever, they starting coming from 4:00 on, the problem is that when I needed the Pizzas that we had order in advanced were not done yet, they were coming one a t a time and very slowly, I could not understand what was the problem, since I gave the list of what were needed to know, some of my family were getting impatient, and I was more. I would have understand everything perfectly, but the problem that made me so upset until today is that the Girl who took my order came to me and told me at 6:00 p.m. that we had to live in 15 minutes, because they had another Party, coming at 7:00 and they had to clean the area.
I needed to cut a Cake and have a Speech, so I thought if I ask at the desk if they can let us stay until 6:30, because people were still eating the Pizza since they brought it so late. I ask the Older lady that is at the desk if we could stay a little longer until 6:30 p.m. She went inside and ask someone, when she came out, she told me you do not have to live because we do not have schedule another Party. I said Thank you very much. That lady which I do not know her name (but all those ladies who work at Shakers Pizza) know me because I used to come very often. So I was happy and I told my Family we have to Hurry Up because we have to live the area at 6:30 p. m, but for my Surprise, The same girl who came earlier, came to tell me that I had to live immediately because she had schedule another Party, than i really got upset and went to ask the Lady who told me there was no Schedule Party, when I got to the desk, The Lady looked down and she did not answer me the one who answer was the Gentleman that I supposed was the Owner of Shakers Pizza, and told me I had to live immediately, I argue that the Pizza I had ordered was not served on time, and we had a cake to Cut, and he said that that was his rule, and he sided with the girl, i said well I always like this Pizza place, but I think this is the last time I come here, I have never being treated like this for no reason, I gave you my Card, and i am going to pay he, i do not remember exactly what he said but I do remember that he said that he all ready new me, that he Knew my name, I guess because I let my card with them, I did not ask if he was threatening me, He probably thought that I was an illegal immigrant. At least that is the way I felt he was treating me. I left a big Tip. Which my Family, thought that I should left only One penny, but I did it for the Ladies, they are the ones who are working so hard and they are the ones who make the Pizza. I CAN ONLY SAY, AS LONG AS I CAN I AM NOT COMING BACK. WE HAVE PLENTY OF GOOD PIZZAS IN FREMONT, AND UNION CITY. BY the way we stayed in the parking lot until 7:15 and there was no one in the reserved area.

Took my 2 daughters 2yrs and 4yrs after school one day and they had a blast. Food was good and filling.
Came back the next night to bring the wife and she gave the place her stamp of approval
Did not get a chance to try the ice cream yet, but that’s because we were all stuffed, and the kids loved playing the arcade coin machines as well!
Defiantly going to be a regular here for sure. Great local family spot!

I loved this place it reminded me of the old school pizza place. The employees were all nice and helpful. They have a wide pizza menu and calzones, salad bar, bar and ice cream area. Its has arcade games and Tvs and lots of families good enjoy a birthday or celebration. They even have a fireplace going making it all cozy. The prices were good and the pizza filling. A good place to go with kids.

I like their combination pizza a lot! Surprisingly good. I tried their bbq chicken pizza but because of the many toppings, the crust turned out a bit soggy. What this place needs is a remodeling. Seems like the place doesn’t get cleaned out.

Pretty good for the price although the crust in our pizza seemed lukewarm. Our servers seemed pleasant and helpful especially with gluten questions. Location is clean and the facilities seem well maintained. Wish they had more on the menu to offer however

Not as good as it use to be. Don’t get the chicken it taste like season less chicken leg parts. Also the ranch garlic had no flavor either. Won’t be going back.

Other night i called and tried to order but was told they were close. The time is 1015pm. Their online order service shows 1130pm.

Thin crust with pepperoni and sarachi sausage. Good stuff. This pizza place has something for everyone. Pizza with diffrent crust and sauce choices, wings, beer, salad bar, appetizers, ice cream, big screen televisions and a few video games. I thought the pizza was above average, the price was ok and the service came with a smile from the blond girl that was making the pizzas. It was not busy when I was there, but it was 4:00. I am sure this place packs them in. Nothing to complain about and definitely would recommend this place.

I drive from San Jose to eat this pizza! Love it. Had pizza all around and this by far is the best. Salad bar, meal deals + more. Video games for kids and yourself if you’d like. Friendly staff and owner always present. Great prices to. If you love pizza try here.

They get an extra star for their excellent customer service, so the food is a 3 for me. Staff was very friendly provided us with updated on our order. We ordered pizza for pick up and when we got there we decided to add an order of BBQ wings. Of course, the wings would be a wait but we didn’t mind.
We ordered the chipotle pizza, which was pretty good. I’ve never had this combination of favors before so I really didn’t know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t the best pizza I’ve ever had but it wasn’t too greasy and didn’t give me heart burn in the end so I’m happy!
BBQ wings however were burnt, so that was basically the flavor. I will just stick with pizza next time!
