Thoroughly mediocre. Slow service. Took nearly twenty minutes to get water. Nearly empty on a Friday night with the rodeo in town. That tells you everything you need to know. The food wasn’t bad, but for what it was it was expensive.

Oh man, the red beers or Michelada’s are . I crave them. And I’m not a big drinker. Just thinking about them makes my mouth water! Love their chips and salsa. My friend introduced me to their asada quesadilla’s and it makes the best match with my brewski. I could seriously eat here everyday but then I’d be super fat. Fast service. Nice people. You won’t be disappointed. Now I can’t say the same about the other plaza ventana on Blackstone. I had a different experience there.

My family and I used to come here a lot back in the 90’s up to mid 2000’s. Always had great service and the food was good. We hadn’t gone is some time and decided to order from there this evening. This was the WORST meal we have had and just a terrible experience overall. First, the guy ringing us up was rude and wanted to charge additional for tortillas that came with the meal. Then he didn’t want to give us any salsa. Before when we would order from there, they would give us a small bag of complimentary chips. No dice this time. He wanted to charge for that so we declined. When we got home and were about to eat, the stuffed basa fish order that we specifically said NO shrimp(due to a food allergy) was covered with shrimp. The shrimp cocktail order contained shrimp with the shells on and didn’t appear to be all the way de-veined. The enchilada plate was horrible. The sauce almost looked like when you pour condensed soup out of the can and the rice tasted stale and hard. It’s very sad and disappointing that the quality and service has gone down for this establishment. We will not be returning.

Went for the Sunday Brunch Buffet, he male server said it was $ 11.99. Imagine our surprise when our bill was $ 16.99 each come time to pay. I got 1 plate of mediocre Mexican food for $ 16.99– and when we questioned the price difference the female server rudely told us we were mistaken. If I knew it was $ 16.99 we would not have eaten there– will not be going back.

So I have it two stars cause I like the salsa verde and the fact that they provide three types of salsa while waiting. I ordered the chicken chile verde enchiladas– ITWASNOTEVENCHICKEN! The beans and rice were old! Wtf! We went during lunch hour! Shouldn’t it be fresh at that time especially?!! My bf ordered the carne asada plate and his carne was old! Seemed like it was reheated by a microwave!!! And the avocado was practically brown! 42.00 was not worth it! I would have sent my food back but I was so upset I wanted to get the hell out and never come back … Shitty cook– shitty Mexican food! Never again!

I have been coming to this restaurant for years. Ever since they had an outlet at Manchester Mall in the Food Court that was the perfect take home meal for my family on a Friday Night. The service is top notch, and I’ve been happy to see staff like Blaine move from being a Host to a Waiter across the years. I chose this restaurant to have my Husbands 60th Birthday party and the food was as delicious as ever. My husband, daughter and son-in-law all look forward to a well prepared meal with some of the best 3 salsas and chips to start it all off. My favorites are the shredded beef taco(with just enough of that awesome red salsa hidden inside) or the chile verde burrito. Thank you for being a great local restaurant my family has always enjoyed.

Been coming here for years off and on. I would say the am ambiance is pretty good and would be an OK date place. But I think the food is just OK. The Chicken Mole Is probably the best thing I have had on the menu. You get chips and three kinds of Chili’s. This is nice but the traditional Salsa AKA Pico Dr Gallo is tasteless. The chips are really good can do heated before they are served. This place used to be packed and has since lists it’s luster. I think nothing has changed and that’s probably the problem. A renovation is needed coupled with few new dishes.

We came here unexpectedly for a Christmas Party. Buffalo Wild Wings wasn’t able to accommodate us and the staff at Plaza Ventana stepped up. I had a total of 20 people in my party, and they took our orders, kept our drinks filled, and worked hard to make sure we had a pleasant experience. I bugged them constantly for paper, pens, and other things while they brought our food and dodged me as I coordinated a white elephant gift exchange. The food was excellent, and our server was continually courteous and kind. They were attentive and made sure our experience was excellent. I highly recommend them and would definitely come here again.

Do you like three types of salsa? Because they serve you three types of salsa for free, bro. It’s like you sit down and they pretty much give you a whole meal like BAM, and I’m like WHAT. Also, those sizzling fajitas that come out of the kitchen. Damn… That sizzling gets all up in your ear. Also, since the kitchen is pretty much open, you can always smell what they’re cookin’. I recommend the Huevos Rancheros. I slam those puppies like I slam jabronis in the ring.

This used to be a good go to for Mexican food, however the last couple of visits were horrible. Will never go back! Poor quality and overpriced. Should have gone to taco bell.

Great service, my waiter was awesome and was on top of refilling my drink and the food showed up very fast and it was very delicious. Best Mexican Restaurant on this side of town hands down.

Would give it 2 ½ for the nice atmosphere and friendly service, however the quality of food was lacking. The chips and salsa were good. However, the rice was extra crispy and didn’t taste fresh, just like it had been reheated. The pinto beans had no flavor, tasted like the can beans I use when I’m in a hurry… dry and tasteless. And the enchiladas were decent, but a little on the cold side and just felt thrown together. This place seems to have potential, but not sure we are willing to pay $ 50 to see if things have improved at a later time.

Stopped here by accident craving Mexican food. Great food with big portions. Work for the railroad and got off my train nearby to stop and eat with my coworker on the way to another place with good reviews on Unilocal.Very satisfied with food and service.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Fresno… hands down! Service is always excellent and the atmosphere is very friendly and laid back. Also, they keep the AC nice and cool and in Fresno, that’s a big plus!!! The food is beyond excellent!!!

Ray Ray is the best! One of the reasons we go back is the excellent service and the chicken quesadilla. By far the BEST quesadilla in Fresno.

This place was pretty good. Honestly the best Margarita ever ! A hot pink margarita called a prickly pear and I could actually taste the Tequilla. It was delicious. The menu was small but each dish appeared to be a culinary work of art. Lots of color in the dishes and right off the bat 3 types of salsa with seasoned tortilla chips. Very well done. The only set back is they are rather pricey. If your looking for a great margarita. Check them out.

By far my favorite mexican restaurant in town. We have been going to this place for 6 years frequently and I have never been disappointed. The service is always excellent, we usually sit in the cantina and Phillip is wonderful. And the food… So delicious!!! From the giant nacho plate to the tostada compuestsa… And let’s not forget the chili verde chimichanga… Hot and fresh and out of this world flavor. The chips and salsa are always on point and the chips are always hot and crisp! Can not say enough good things about this place. If you have not tried it… Do yourself a favor and go!

Great food and great neighborhood restaurant. The ceviche is the bomb! Other items are great. I used to enjoy the Marrisco burrito before I went bean & rice-less! Kids eat like kings and they get to color on their own placemats with a great selection of three crayons. Not exactly an art studio but, great for the munchkins :) Come on by and ask for Sal; he’s a great waiter :)

Came in to watch the Mexico vs. Croatia match. Bar tender was really helpful, changing the TV for us and raising the volume to make it more comfortable for us. Had their strawberry Margarita(on the rocks) and their fish/shrimp ceviche. The pair was stellar, so fresh and tasty; perfect for Fresno’s heat!
