I have a HUGE issue with unfocused massage therapist and it consistently happens with Massage Envy!
The lady I had this time and the last showed huge inconsistencies this time compared to last. Waste of money and time.
She also spent the entire time coughing and massaging my hands! Lady, I get a massage with my mani/pedi
She also didn’t do nearly as much time on my back like she did but I kept waiting.
Personally, she said she had allergies but I think she was not in the mood or focused.
She didn’t want to do anything on my left side unless she could sit down.
Sucked and I feel worse than when I went in which really aggravates me!!!

So, between this location and the Stonebriar one, they have cancelled my appointment 4 times in the last 2 – 3 months. The appts are hard enough to get and then when they cancel you are having to go through a wait again! See my other post on the Stonebriar location. At this point I just want to use up my sessions and cancel. It is so frustrating.

The problem with Massage Envy is that when you really need a good massage, nobody is available. You have to book a week or two in advance, and even then you don’t know who you will get. I have been paying monthly for a year and rarely have gone because of this fact. The last time I got a massage, I was laying there thinking that I was wasting my time — no relief what so ever, and it was obvious that the guy was being lazy. He would pat my skin and act like that was a massage. Terrible. Then I was told that if I cancelled my membership, I had to use all my unused credits within 30 days. I couldn’t get an appt. there for all those credits even if I tried! Total fraud.

I have a Massage Envy membership and have been to many locations. This one is my favorite because of my massage therapist, Fitz. My first visit to this location was earlier this month and it was the best massage I have had in years. I also like that I have the option of getting a facial.

I would give this place 3 stars. It is very hit or miss. You can go one time and have a great massage /facial and another time it is ok and at time awful. Make sure you let the manager know because she will comp you the session if it is bad.

Expected a Deep tissue massage as I paid for, but received a Swedish. The person didn’t know her techniques very well and I ended up being very dissatisfied.

Introductory offer for $ 49 massage is very enticing. To take advantage of the pricing on a consistent basis, you have to ‘join the club’ and commit to a massage at least once per month. They auto-bill on a monthly basis, but you can carry forward any unused massages. The pricing is pretty good, and they have expanded their services to include hot stone massage and facials.
The staff here are very gracious. Lots of appointments (you can usually get in same day or next day). Nice and clean, relaxing, soothing environment. Complimentary bottled water on every visit.
I always leave feeling like jelly. That’s a good thing!
