So-so BBQ. not bad exactly but not particularly great. Didn’t get a chance to try any of their beers but I’ve heard it’s pretty good. The best thing on the menu by far was their loco hot wings. I really like spicy food and these were right at my upper limit for spiciness. If you feel like your up for a challenge than give them a try!

Okay, the pulled pork sandwich was just killer. The Mac and cheese was great, and the kicker is the greens, they were some of if not the best I’ve had. The beer is very good. So far the service is outstanding. Nice quaint atmosphere, very warm and friendly. This place is awesome in my opinion.

I’ve been here many times and love it but had a horrific server experience several years ago and rarely come back. They might have changed today as the food and beer were awesome… but the service was even better. Drew, one of the servers/bartenders, was extremely friendly, fun, and super attentive to guests. Some of the best service I’ve had in a while! Everyone else was great… but he was a standout that I would hire myself at my restaurant/bar.

In town visiting family. Stopped in to have some beer and watch the wild card baseball game. Tried several of the beers and found them all to be very good. Whoever selected the music for the evening should be commended, it was great! Pumpkin Beast, Black Mamba Oatmeal Stout, and October Beast were tried but settled on the October Beast, a very good seasonal brew. After a few innings we ordered some appetizers. We ended up with more food than expected which was a good thing. If you are in the area, you need to stop by Aviator tap house. Love their slogan: Beer is my friend!

Absolutely amazing experience!!! Our bartender was absolutely fantastic I just wish I was better with names!!! The food was beyond amazing we had the onion rings, pulled pork sandwich and the buffalo chicken sandwich!!! We will definitely be back, especially bc we found out 99% of the time the outside deck is dog friendly!!! Plus my husband LOVES their pumpkin beast and I love the kolsh!

In hopes to find a good place for smokehouse type of food with the craft beer scene, this misses big on the food side. Got 2 appetizers, loaded tots and buffalo wings. Tots were clearly bulk frozen, cheese sauce tasted liked it came from a jar in the grocery aisle and the bacon bits looked like they sat next to a grill but didnt touch it. Wings had a good smoke to them but lacked any flavor whatsoever. Ordered buffalo sauce flavor but could have fooled me as i didnt taste any buffalo sauce. On top of the poor quality, it took a while to serve obviously premade apps. Dinner, didnt even make it as we left to go someplace else. Tried to order their one of their main entrees, ½ chicken but they didnt have any or were taking forever at 6 on a Saturday night! Really? It all made sense when our server was pointing to a limited number of dishes that he thought were going to actually be good tonight based on what he was seeing in the kitchen. They also have an identity crisis as tacos do not belong on a smoke house menu. It appears that most cylinders are not firing and many things need to change beforr we would consider going back.

The service here is inexplicably bad. We had about four different people approach our table during our dining experience asking all sorts of different«more beer, are yall good» questions… our food came out wrong and after we told our waiter it was being fixed he said«oh okay cool» not sorry or anything. When trying to leave we had to go in to close our tabs… the bartender that was changed since we got there was very rude …” just tell me again what you had” well at this point I don’t want to pay for any of that garbage! Save yourself the trouble of visiting this place. Just go to the brewery.

The first time that I wrote this review it was more so for the beer than the actual Tap House. So, that is why I am dropping it to 4 stars instead of 5. I have visited this place several times and my experiences have always been good but this past time it was not that great. I love the beer here. Devil’s Tramping Ground for when you want a buzz since it is 9.2% ABV, Mad Beach with an orange slice for a lighter beer to enjoy on a hot summer day and Pumpkinbeast is finally back with that delicious cinnamon sugared rim. A few of my other favorites: Bonehead India Brown, Frostnipper, Saison de Aviator and Oktoberbeast. A group of us visited on a Saturday afternoon and got a table sitting outside. We went inside for our first round of beers because of the slow service. We wanted to order food and kept waiting for the waiter to come over so finally I had to go inside to let him know that we were ready to order. This time I decided to get the wings with the Aviator sauce, they were delicious. I also got mashed potatoes with gravy and macaroni and cheese. When I opened my mashed potatoes they had no gravy, I felt like I was bothering the server when I told her that. It took a while to get it because they kept forgetting, finally they just brought me a new order. I also requested an additional ranch since mine was only half way full, I never got that. All of the staff seemed to be having a bad day that day. This visit was a bit disappointing but since I love their beer I will be back for that.

Good evening with family having drinks and snacks on the patio. Friendly staff and lots of beer choices. The pork nachos were also a hit. Yes. This ace is on my return list

This is a cool little stop on the outskirts of wake county. Their beer is phenomenal, and their food is pretty good as well. I would put this on a bucket list if you have not already done so. Their IPAAND Octoberfest are amazing.

Took the hubbs here for an anniversary outing. Since there is a taphouse, a smokehouse, and a brewery all in the same area, we did need help finding the actual brewery. Once we got there we were greeted by a friendly bartender at the front who sold us our tickets and directed us to the back bar where more of the brands brews were available. The frostnipper and the mad beach were both excellent. We ended up taking a growler of the frostnipper eith us. The tour was informative and fun. Definitely worth the 4 ticket price. The only complaint I have was the front bar was so hot that I was sweating and very uncomfortable. I understand the brewery part needs to be temp controlled, but the wait leading up to the tours would have been more enjoyable if it were a bit cooler in that one room.

Excellent, personal service… food was delicious. Had the nachos with shredded pork. Came for lunch meeting with colleagues… atmosphere was great. Tables were spaced far apart.

A brewery done right and smart! We went about a year or so ago… it was still very small and crammed into one small area. We went a few weeks ago and were amazed to see how much they have grown in such a short amount of time. The brewery has not one, but two bar areas now! I should also mention they own a bar, restaurant, and bottle shop downtown Fuquay Varina. We did the brewery tour with another couple(along with about 20 other people) that lasts about 15 – 20 minutes that takes you through the whole brewing process from start to finish(I would recommend if you haven’t been to a brewery before). the smartest thing that Aviator did was to have people walk into a bar to have a drink, wait for the tour, then at the end of the tour, have another bar to encourage people to have another drink… smart smart people here! The beer is good, the bartenders are attentive, and its a great local environment. If we lived closer we would definitely come more often, but we will be back again!

They have flights here. No not actual flights silly but the kind you sample. So our flight consisted of the Hogwild, triple, devils tramping ground and the frostnipper. All of them tasted great but my favorite was the hog wild ipa. I am no beer expert but so all I can say is that it was just good. I like the atmosphere in the place. I did find it kinda strange that they opened the garage door on a cold day. It wasn’t like it was getting stuffy in the place because there was only four of us in there. That was odd… real odd but the place is worth checking out especailly if you are into craft beers.

One of my favorite places to relax. Great for having a beer with friends at the brewpub, or taking the whole family to enjoy a great meal across the street at the smokehouse. They usually have some sort of special every day. Monday nights kids eat free, Tuesday is wing night and they have a rib special on Wednesdays where you essentially get a half rack of ribs and a beer for the price of the ribs alone. The smoked wings are some of the best I’ve had anywhere. I highly recommend the dry rub. They may not be on the menu but they are available. Not sure about the other reviews and discussing service, etc. I’ve been there probably 20 times and the service is always good and the beer, as mentioned by others, is great. The Devils Tramping Ground Belgian Triple is the best brew in the triangle.

Came in tonight for drinks and entertainment and was not impressed with the service. We sat at high tables behind the bar and I have sat here making this post with an empty glass and the place is not busy. This in my opinion is crappy service and as a business should be ashamed. I also overheard your employee saying that your new release smelled like feet again not a good impression.

Great beer. Waitresses are total sour pusses. Terrible attitudes. Rude. Will never come back. I have zero interest in being treated like I’m on a united airlines flight. Keep up the good work!

I changed from 1 star to 2 purely because the waitress gave us a heartfelt apology about our experience. Full disclosure– they were short on staff, and they ran out of numbers for food, which caused a lot of confusion behind the scenes. This resulted in a wait of over 80 min for food. On the plus side, I was excited that they already had pumpkin beer! In August, yay! My friends had other beers, all were very good. The food wasn’t great. I had nachos, and the salsa was oddly sweet– it reminded me of spaghetti sauce. The pulled pork on the nachos was good, and my friend thought the wings were excellent. The chili cheese fries came without chili. If we ever go back, it will be for beer only…

Aviator Brewing is right in the middle of downtown Fuquay Varina, a nice thirty minute drive from downtown Raleigh. While there are plenty of beers on tap and the selection is diverse, the staff really brought this place down for me. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm and sat at the bar. Although the place seemed to be staffed well, especially for the relatively low crowd, the servers seemed very unhappy and slow. Although there are inside tables and outside seating, I’m glad we chose the bar, even with the slow service, because we got to sit in on all the drama(a waitress leaving in the middle of serving a large table and not informing any of the staff to take over for her – it didn’t look good and they lost their entire bill). The servers lacked basic attention to details as well, when requesting no orange in the MadBeach(a play on the traditional Blue Moon) they still throw it in there. You might expect this when sitting somewhere where your order goes between waiter and bartender, but not when the bartender is pouring your drinks directly. Aviators beer is decent so I wouldn’t mind checking out the the Smokehouse or actual Brewery, but I won’t be rushing back to the Tap House because of the unpleasant atmosphere and lack of attention that the staff had for their customers.

Another great find — just a fun place to be! The atmosphere is terrific if you’re sitting inside at the bar or out on the deck soaking in the sun. The bartender was SUPER friendly and knowledgable about the wide selection of brews on tap. And wow, do they have some great beer! If I were rating it just on beer and atmosphere it would be a solid 5 stars. We had lunch there as well on a recent visit and although it was fairly good, it wasn’t anything memorable. My wife had the BBQ sampler plate — three sliders including pulled pork, chopped pork, and brisket. I had a bite of each and couldn’t tell one from the other. Maybe it was that hoppy taste in my mouth from that terrific Hogwild IPA! But they weren’t memorable. I wasn’t that hungry so I ordered the bratwurst which was a single link dwarfed by the bun with sauerkraut and two onion rings. The side of fries was dominating the plate and the cole slaw was mediocre. I wouldn’t suggest getting that. So don’t look for GREAT bar food here — but it is acceptable. And I’m more than willing to compromise on the food when the beer and service are this good. And they were! Highly recommended if you like good beer! Oh, and whoever does their artwork for the beer logos is amazing!
