My wife and I are a big fan of Tyler’s Tavern. They have a large menu with a lot of options. They have awesome burgers and a great wine selection. Their patio is dog friendly too. Keep in mind Tyler’s is a sports bar with many pool tables so it gets LOUD. Not their fault, just keep this in mind if you are going just for dinner. The patio can be quieter.

Came here on a Tuesday evening and seated right away. Clean restaurant in a convenient strip. Lots of pool tables and several patrons taking advantage of playing. On Tuesdays they have pool leagues. They have a nice variety of food choices, including vegetarian options. Between 3 and 6PM every day you can get bottomless chips for $ 2.50, which includes the dip of your choice. The hummus is not your typical Middle Eastern creamy blend. It was filled with diced red peppers and fresh. Not garlicky or lemony either. The turkey club was very fresh with sourdough bread and a smoked turkey flavor. The homemade chips were crispy and fresh. I had to take a to-go box home because there was so much food. My husband ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and a bowl of chicken noodle soup. The soup was creamy but dairy free with a little bit of a kick to it and had shredded chicken and corn in it. Yum! Big selection of wine, mixed drinks and beer. Reasonably priced food, fresh and overall good atmosphere. Servers were friendly and attentive and staff came by table to make sure we were satisfied.

I decided to try Tyler’s Tavern for a little Sunday Funday action recently. The tavern is huge, when you enter you can seat yourself in the restaurant section or walk over to the bar. I will have to say the booth we initially sat at was HIGHLY uncomfortable so we decided to grab a seat at the bar. Our bartender was great, she was friendly and helpful. But, unfortunately, the staff was a bit dysfunctional which was a bit awkward. They have a $ 4.99 menu available 7 days a week for lunch which includes a free hour of pool. My mom and I opted for the regular menu, I got the Roasted Turkey and Slaw sandwich and she got the Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese Bowl. They were both delicious! They also have 53 beers on tap which is awesome! While we waited for our food we played a game of pool, there are several pool tables and dart boards. I would go back to have a beer and shoot some pool.

Nothing better than average. The food was nothing special. A lot of beer selection which is good. Would be a great place to play to pool as they have more pool tables than any place around here. The hostesses weren’t very friendly.

We went here pretty early on Friday and the place wasn’t to packed yet, it definitely started filling up when we left. They had a huge draft selection! The food was really good! I got the roasted Turkey with slaw and it was amazing! They had some of the best fries I have ever eaten, kind of a cross between a curly and steak fry! My husband got a burger and really enjoyed it! We will definitely be back!

It’s not too many times I’m out and about in Fuquay-Varina, but this past week I had a chance to experience Tyler’s Tavern with some coworkers. Nope, it’s not the Tyler’s Taproom group but a dedicated sports bar of its own in F-V. Not showing much of its character on the outside, it’s good not to judge a book by its cover. You walk in and, wow, it’s big, pretty spacious as well as bright… I’m not a fan of dark cave bars all the time and this one is a pleasant change. Loaded with numerous pool tables and many more numerous TVs everywhere(you can’t sling a cat without hitting a TV or a pool table), this place is definitely a good destination for watching sporting events or getting your fix for a few games of pool. It was also karaōke night the time we dropped in, so it made it more fun singing along to the groups’ selections. It was a very fun, positive atmosphere and I definitely dig the vibe. How about the beer? There are just over 50 draft beers to choose from on their menu, so definitely a great variety to choose from. I went with the Ayinger«Brau-Weisse» Bavarian Hefe-weizen and it hit the spot. Food wise we got an array of apps that equally hit the spot. The chicken tenders were very tasty, not weak flavor wise and hearty. The nachos were fully loaded and thumbs up. Last, the pot stickers(«pan seared pork dumplings served with zesty teriyaki sauce») were awesome, I recommend this one as well. Bottom line: Great sports bar/billiards bar experience. Positive and upbeat atmosphere, and tons of TVs and pool tables where you should be able to enjoy either on your visit. Plentiful draft beer selection and good bar food as well. I am looking forward to hopefully seeing Tyler’s Tavern in Fuquay-Varina again soon!

Burger was good, although cooked a bit beyond«well». Choice of sides lacked anything fresh but the fries were good. Décor on the restaurant side didn’t help to distinguish it from the pool table side. The restaurant side seems like an afterthought. It’s a local place and I’m glad to have a newer place in Fuquay-Varina so I will go again.

I have always had great service here, excellent food and fun environment. Lots of pool tables which is great, my family frequents this place often and usually spend at least two hours playing pool after enjoying a good lunch. Most definitely recommend this place!!!

Love this place minus the service. Hands Down worst service I’ve ever experienced. Stood at the bar(not busy) and had NOONE even look at me for at least 10 minutes. Pretty sure one was even the owner. Ridiculous! Sad too, because this could be a great place! Clean great beer, good food, and pool.

Secind visit– the first time was awesome with great food and quick service. Tonight admittedly I’m writing this while waiting for my food with two kids under 7 and my husband. He has gotten his salad which looks incredible… But we have been waiting forever for our food! The place only has a few other patrons so not sure why it’s taking so long…

We went there last night because it was one of the few places that we found open because it was Christmas. From what I saw the place was clean and the atmosphere was excellent. There are quite a few pool tables and plenty of screens to watch your favorite game. I had a double burger and it was very good and juicy.

Let’s say it’s Sunday afternoon and you have nothing to do… And you are located near the end of the world aka Fuquay Varina … This would be a great second option for doing something. TV screens and pool tables!

When this restaurant was ONTHESNAP the food was atrocious. When I saw signs going up at first I thought Tyler’s Taproom was coming. SCORE! LOL But it was Tyler’s TAVERN. We waited for them to get that new management thing under their belts and decided to check it out Friday night. We got there around 9:30PM. I was happy to see the full menu was available which is pretty cool for a bar. You HAVE to try out wings at a tavern. We got 12. They were happy to give us 6 with one sauce 6 with another and in fact our waiter said we could 4÷4÷4 in 3 sauces. NICE! We chose buffalo garlic which was fine buffalo but not much garlic. The wings are small and fried really well done(which I like. I don’t like underdone chicken wings.) but it was on the almost too dry and chewy side. I chose the Garlic butter rub. I’ve grown to really like the dry rub wings. But hold on. The wings are wet. So we asked our very nice waiter, Jon for more of the rub. I thought maybe the heat just got it wet. He comes back with.. . a wet sauce. Huh? He explains that it starts off wet then gets dry after cooking. Okay. No. That does not compute. It’s either a dry rub or a wet sauce. So that was disappointing. Again, very little garlic taste so I got a butter coated wing. I threw some Texas Pete on it and ate them anyway. We also got a small plate of the cheese fries. I LOVE cheese fries. So bad for you in such a good way. These were interesting. They looked like baked potatoes that had been turned into curly fries with an auger. Can you picture it? So they were huge pieces. Some were very thick so it was like having thick potato skins. Other parts were very thin so they tasted like home made potato chips. The cheese was tasty but not enough. The bacon was real but really tiny crumbles — almost dust like. So overall they are not my idea of what cheese fries should be. But I can see a lot of people enjoying those. So I think they are different enough for a try. I asked for a taste of a red beer I never had but he brought me a full glass. I didn’t want to complain about it but I didn’t like it. That’s why I try to taste first. The vibe in there was much cheerier than when it was the other restaurant. Every pool table was full, lots of laughter, lots of smiles, everyone was having a good time. That’s important. I will be coming back for lunch sometime to check out a few more dishes. I hope they change the wording on the menu for the«dry rub».

Glood food. Pleasant and tentative staff. Plenty of beer choices on draft. A great place to watch football on Sundays as they have over 20 televisions to cover the games with the nfl ticket as well as the space to accommodate a large crowd. Pool tables are in great shape and well maintained. The best part, the owner is actively working hard with his staff showing he cares for his place instead of standing around and directing traffic. Always a good sign. Highly recommend for any sporting events you want to watch or just a fun night out with friends. They have poker on mondays, karaōke on Wednesday s, and music bingo on thurdays. Something for everyone.

We came here with a Groupon and decided to check it out since we recently moved down the street. I believe they had a special on their IPAs…$ 2.50 or $ 3…either way. good deal. My husband got a burger and I got a mac and cheese bowl with pepperoni and prosciutto. My husband ordered his burger medium, but it came out well done. No big deal though as you can tell it was hand-formed and maybe harder to cook than pre-formed/frozen patties. My mac and cheese bowl was delicious and huge and I had leftovers for lunch the next day. Tyler checked in with us regarding the food and chatted with us about some of the changes they had made from when it was On the Snap. They also have a nice outside/patio area which will be nice a little later towards the fall. We’ll definitely be back.

We went there before their official grand opening, so I’m sure some things were not completely finished, but it seems like this is going to be a nice addition to the Fuquay area! They have an impressive beer list! They had some high gravity beers that I haven’t seen at most of the local places. And I couldn’t believe they had a Wednesday special that was $ 3.25 a pint for any beer on tap, even the high gravity ones! I hope they keep that special going :) There are something like 10 pool tables and 30 large TV’s in this place, plus an outdoor patio and a stage area for bands. The food was pretty good too, the burger was really good. The fish and chips was a little greasy, but I suppose that’s to be expected. I wasn’t a huge fan of their fries, but maybe they’ll change to a different kind. Overall I think this place has potential to become a great late night alternative to driving all the way to Raleigh! I know I’ll be back if they continue to offer great beer specials!
