Went in after Unilocal fit club at zengo since i wanted to try the gluten free pizza from potomac pizza for 3 years and am never in the area and when i lived here i got ledo. 2 workers saw me and did not even ask to help within 10 minutes. I finally walked out the blonde girl looked up and said nothing. Will never go to this one again. Still curious how the pizza is though. Maybe theres another one who actually wants customers…

The pizza is good but the prices are way to high! $ 14 for a cheese pizza! Staff is not very helpful.

As several other reviewers noted, the pizza is soggy. Even the plain cheese freshly made is soggy(no extra cheese or toppings that might contribute to soggy pizza). It doesn’t seem greasier than other pizza so not sure if it’s the sauce causing the sog? Pizza sauce and edge crust is tasty, and the pizza overall is so-so. It used to be not soggy and therefore much better pizza so we only very rarely get pizza from here now. Will try periodically to see if it goes back to being non-soggy(maybe it is seasonal?)

I got a deal from Amazon local that got me a large 2 topping for $ 10. I ordered only extra cheese, picked it up and took it home(4 minute drive.) When we opened it, grease had soaked the bottom of the box(soaked means puddles of grease.) That, combined with the thinnest layer of extra cheese i have ever seen and thin and not crispy crust combined to make the worst pizza i can ever remember having. An absolute waste of $ 10, demonstrated by the fact that a family with kids threw pizza away. Don’t waste your money or your time. Who is Abby? We eat pizza at least once a week and generally order it the same way. They did open the box and it was a cheese pizza. Neither«Abby» nor myself(STILL wondering who Abby is) said it was the worst looking pizza, I said it was THEWORSTPIZZA I CANREMEMBERHAVING.

We were in town for a soccer tournament. Decided to try a pizza place after the game. One of the worst pizzas we’ve ever had. It was oily soggy and floppy. Should’ve known we shouldn’t have eaten there when the plaCe was empty and the waitreses were sitting at a table talking about each others personal lives.

I went to Potomac Pizza Kentlands Market Square on 8÷15÷14 with my boyfriend’s family. Although I have been to this restaurant before I thought this time was particularly good. I love their white pizza. It was the perfect mixture of grease and cheese. I also thought the consistency of the dough was great and very similar to what you find in a New York City pizzeria.

I saw all the negative reviews, which I thought were funny, but I did like this place. One negative review was particularly funny: he said the Mexican Pizza was like Taco Bell being Mexican. My comment to that is what do you expect? Potomac Pizza is not a Mexican place; I would not expect their Mexican Pizza to actually be authentic. I thought the pizza was tasty, and I didn’t get a fancy pizza; I kept it simple with two slices of pepperoni. The girl at the counter was friendly. One thing I didn’t like was it wasn’t a sit yourself down kind of place. You had to be served, but I ordered the pizza to go, and then, I ate my two slices in my to go box at one of the booths. No one gave me too big of a hassle about it. I enjoyed the pizza, and would come back, but I would go with someone and split a pizza for sit-down and truly take the pizza to go.

Pizza is just gross. It’s floppy when you take a slice out of the box to eat. The sauce has no flavor. It’s oily and the cheese falls right off the pizza. Absolutely not good!

We got the Mexican pizza at the carryout counter. This is a Mexican pizza in the same way that Taco Bell is Mexican food. The pizza was shredded lettuce, raw tomato chunk, refried bean, and pickled jalapenos on top of lots of cheese. Basically the opposite of gourmet, which is not a big surprise since kids seem to be their primary clientele. The pizza is not terrible for what it is, but you’re basically getting fast food quality for gourmet prices(their large specialty pizzas are around $ 20 each). I almost gave 2 stars, but the young guy working the takeout counter was super friendly and I feel like it would be unfair to pan the place without first trying a «real» pizza with tomato sauce(not that I will be going back again).

The ambiance is nothing special, but it’s a pizza place. Ordering carry-out is very quick! I would rate the pizza a solid 7⁄10. It’s good, not great. It’s also quite pricey. If you order the veggie, I recommend requesting that they leave off the broccoli(not a fan of cruciferous veggies on pizza!). My husband likes their pepperoni the best.

I ordered a $ 12 greek salad for take-out, and I got home to find that it was JUST chicken, onion and lettuce. They gave a $ 12 credit to my account, but I’m not sure how someone misses all the other parts of a salad. (In their favor, the girl behind the counter is very sweet.)

I am new to Gaithersburg, and was craving pizza for lunch yesterday. I had driven by this place before, and figured I’d give it a try while out running errands. Never again. All I wanted was a decent slice. I became immediately suspect when there was no counter service(most pizzerias put out multiple pizzas with different toppings so you can choose a slice). There were no pizzas on display. Even if you just want a slice of pizza, you have to sit down and be waited on. The price for a plain cheese slice was a ripoff at $ 2.99. I opted for the higher valued slice with up to three toppings for $ 3.69. Seemed like a good deal. I asked our«waiter»(boss’s nephew?) if the slices were actually decent(since I couldn’t see any of their pies). He said, «yeah, they come from an 18 inch pie», which was said in such a way to imply that the slices were big. WRONG. They slice may have come from an 18 inch pie, but one that was cut into 16 slices. My slice looked like a sad, reheated, burnt, brown and crispy isosceles triangle, piled with sub-par ingredients(bland chicken and sausage. the bacon was good, but that’s hard to mess up). Crud, I should have just left when I noticed you can’t walk up to a counter and order a slice… but I was with people and didn’t want to cause a fuss. I was disappointed, and upon exiting, found out my family was just as unhappy with their slice as I was. Same complaints. Small slice. Tasteless toppings. Free refills on their expensive soda, so they got that going. I hear that their delivery is better. That may be the case. Just be aware that if you are ever going in person, prepare to be jacked for a small, shameful slice of pizza that has been probably sitting in the kitchen for hours.

Gross pizza and frozen deep fried crap. Even the salad tasted funny. The pizza toppings were kinda piled onto a tasteless crust. Daughter had a kids meal; chicken tenders and fries were out of the freezer and also tasteless. Waste of money. Next time I’ll go to the Italian place down the street.

I’m torn so I’m giving it three stars. Pizza is really delicious, especially three cheese. Extremely salty, and not exactly low fat either, but worth it on occasion. But this place is a magnet for bratty little kids(like far too many things in Kentlands), and their servers tend to be really indifferent teenagers. They have a carryout window separate from the actual restaurant. I recommend using it. I point all this out because the Potomac Pizza that’s actually in Potomac is a decent place to eat and does not have these issues. Also, it’s expensive for what it is. There are plenty of coupons and deals for carryout, which again, I suggest taking advantage of.

Im so picky when it comes to pizza because I had NYC pizza so my expectations are very high when it comes to the pie. So my daughters had some pizza project at school where PP came to do pizzas with the kids. My girls brought the pie home. We baked the pie and shared… It was goooooooooooood! So On Tuesday they have a special and thats when we order. ANd the pizza is good… they even have gluten free pizza for ones that cant digest gluten or whatever the deal is. I love places that are active in the community and since we reside near the Kentlands. I will always come here. The pizza is delish!

A very simple take on pizza, a chain restaurant that doesn’t deliver for the price. The small 10 inch pizzas were nothing special at all and overpriced for the provided quality. My coworker said it best«If you have pizza in your name, your pizza should taste better.»

I am really into pizza and like a variety of styles with – albeit a non-discriminating preference towards thin crust(standard crust and deep dish also acceptable) – but Potomac Pizza left me feeling dejected. Did they accidentally spill oil all over my slice and forgot to tell me? Even a few bites left a bad taste – the only way to choke down the remainder was to blot, which helped until I ran out of napkins. A repeat visit was of the same caliber and, with their high prices per slice, I see no reason to return but if you end up giving it a try and want take-out, use the side entrance rather than the main restaurant.

Recently grabbed lunch at Potomac Pizza. My wife and I opted for the lunch special, 2 slices of pizza, side of our choice and drink for $ 9.99. Not a great deal for a lunch special(IMO) When I saw small side salad as an option for the lunch special at the table, i figured the salad would be the size of a coffee cup saucer. That is what I’ve seen at other places. The salad was a full plate, although some more tomatoes, carrots etc would have been nice. Lots of dressings to choose from which is nice over just ranch, bleu cheese, italian etc. I really enjoyed the pizza. For the lunch special you can choose up to 3 topping to place on your slices. I could have gone for a few more slices! The pizza reminded me of some pizza I had in CA many years ago that I really like. The major concern is the service. The service was below average. I saw one family of 3 come in, sit down and not get attended to. They ended up leaving. I also saw another patron actively seek out the server to give the check. Only one server was working, but there was just 4 tables to work with and all tables were seated far apart, inexcusable! I would definitely go back for the pizza, maybe skip dining in and opting for delivery or carryout when I’m in the area.

I took my kids to a birthday party there. They do a make your own pizza thing. Seems like the kids have fun. They give everyone the dough and let them flatten it out and then spread the sauce and pile cheese on it. Other than that, its pretty much chaos. There was also pizza for the grown ups, which was a little undercooked and the sauce tasted a bit too much like catsup. Overall, the kids had fun, but other than the few interactions during pizza making, the birthday party is unstructured and the kids just ran around the room doing whatever.

Pretty good pizza but are you kidding with the price? We had a Groupon and got 2 pizzas. Each one would have been around $ 18. It’s not that special. We got carry out and the cashier seemed annoyed by the Groupon– not a good idea. If I use a Groupon that means I’m willing to try out our business, when I may not have otherwise. If you have a great product and exceptional service, I come back and I’m happy to pay full price over and over again. Give an attitude and I’ll spend my money somewhere else. Oh well, it’s better than Pizza Hut.
