I used to go here all the time because I had like a coupon. And there food was really good. All of there sandwhiches were great but too bad they are close. The location was really bad.

One of my favorite secret spots! Organic iced blended coffees are delish! Beignets are what they are known for and once you’ve tried them you will underatand why. Piping hot beignets are dusted with powdered sugar and are served alongside some condensed milk. Not necessary but very good nonetheless. Everything is made to order so everything tastes great. It might take a little longer but I don’t mind waiting because everything tastes great. Their breakfast paninis are a little saucy but still pretty good. They have ample seating inside and outside. Nice little murial inside to catch your eye. The staff is very nice and the space is clean.

omg… dont come here! they changed ownership but still using the same name. used to be korean owned coffee shop but its vietnamese owned now. the coffee latte they make under the new ownership taste nothing like latte. its more like milk and sugar with very little to no taste of coffee. even the coffee i made at home taste so much better. im not sure if they know how to make a good coffee. service is super slow. it took them sometime to figure out what ingredients needed for the latte whatsoever. this place was empty when i came in and i was the only customer there. but it took them a good 15mins to get my latte ready! sorry but i think i could spend my $ to buy a much better coffee elsewhere

Purchased the Groupon $ 12 for $ 25, good for beignets and drinks. My husband wanted to try a sandwich but the Groupon only allows drinks and beignets. Strange that they are so strict to this policy since the remaining Groupon balance was transferred to a gift card. I mentioned to the cashier girl that a Unilocaler was able to use this $ 25 Groupon for sandwiches. She said they changed their policy. Minus 1 star for poor customer service. She should have accommodated the customer since I found them on Groupon and Unilocal. Beignets: NOT the best as other reviews mentioned. Over fried in re-used oil. The beignets came in a basket lined with paper. The paper had a pool of dark grease at the bottom. Too chewy and tastes like grease. Topped with powdered sugar, best part. The side of condensed milk used for dipping helps to counteract the grease taste. Minus 1 state for poor beignets and that’s what they are known for :( Coffee: Excellent! Organic and aromatic. I got a soy latte and will come back here only for coffee. Free wi-fi!

Came to try out their beignets, which are pretty good(I’ve never been to New Orleans). You get six medium-sized pieces, which come nice and hot w/a side of condensed milk. Also tried the sausage breakfast panini and Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Both were good — they use organic coffee beans, too. Cashier was a really nice young Asian girl. Don’t forget to check out their specials as we saved some money ordering a combo. Our food didn’t take too long to come out — less than 10 minutes. The café is also pretty cute w/outside seating areas.

Ahh… Sundays well spent studying with my Biochem crew at an A-OK coffee shop. Well, I’m fortunate that there’s actually a decent coffee a shop in Garden Grove thats not filled with loud music, or skimpy girls with nothing on. This place is a great to study, because if you need a study break, they do have television! And outdoor seatings too. However, this place needs some serious works! The employees don’t even look happy at what they are doing, and theres no courteous, Thank you, theres not much of a smile from them… And when you walk out of the café shop, your hair, textbooks, and just about everything you brought inside this place leaves you smelling like oil that they use to cook their beignets! Beignets are suppose to be large, and fluffy and filled with powder sugar, not a miniature version of it… if you want awesome beignets, then go to downtown disney at the Jazz Kitchen Express, which is the closest version to Café du Monde’s New Orleans beignets! Moving onto their food and drinks… Their food, soups, salads, and sandwiches, are actually delicious! When you order a sandwich/salad, it comes in this neat to-go box so that you can take your left overs home, and their soups, comes in a circular container. The drinks, however, are meh okay. I’ve only had their café tourane drink, which is similar to Vietnamese Coffee. Its pretty good, but not too strong, which is good because I don’t plan on staying up all day! So, overall, would I recommend this place to my friends? Yeahhh, I would if they can put up with subpar customer service, and coming out smelling like oil. I would recommend ordering food, and either eat outside or take it to go. And besides, they have a great groupon deal, $ 12 for $ 25!

Groupon– $ 12 for $ 25 worth of coffee and beignets and other stuff I don’t remember. Boyfriend ordered the café tourane special(the coffee) and man it’s DELICIOUS! They described it as vietnamese coffee but a milder taste and it is much sweeter and way milder which I like. I always think Vietnamese coffee is too strong so I love love love café tourane’s version! ^___^ I got the white mocha latte(iced) and it was good but after I tried my boyfriend’s coffee. I just wanted to steal his and drink it all! mwahahahah!(but I didnt.) beignets are fresh and piping hot– BECAREFUL! However, it’s not the best. That’s all i can say. It’s good still. it’s a bit too thick but it’s good. =)

I probably would give this place more along the 3.5÷5 but I gave them a 4⁄5. Came here with the $ 12 for $ 25 groupon. Best deal ever! I ended up spending pretty much the whole thing on the first visit — we bought 2 frapps, 2 paninis, and 6 beignets. So much food! Had $ 0.23 cents left on the gift card. My friend and I did halfsies on the California chicken panini and the roast beef panini. The paninis came with a side salad with your choice of dressing and in a to-go box. Unfortunately, some of my salad was wilted. The paninis cost around $ 7 each. I actually liked both paninis. The California chicken had a nice slice of chicken(not cold cuts), provolone cheese?, tomato, avocado, and a sauce. It was good. I actually preferred it over the roast beef and one of the workers suggested it as well. The roast beef was okay, nothing special. Paninis are actually a good deal, especially with the groupon. As for drinks, I got the mocha frappé. It tasted a bit like the mocha drink they sell at Costco. The coffee flavour was not strong at all and it was a bit lacking. My friend had the caramel and said it was good so I suggest getting that over the mocha. Beignets were a little yeasty. If you’re familiar with that flavour it comes out a bit strong. Definitely off-putting. You get 6 for about $ 2.50. It comes with a side of condensed milk and with powdered sugar on top. Really good deal compared to prices for beignets at downtown Disney(the only other place I know that sells them), but they’re not as good. A bit chewy. Despite that it had a nice golden brown colour on the outside. I don’t know if I would order this again because I’m just not a fan of foods tasting like yeast. Free WiFi. Plenty of space. Not crowded at all on a Saturday afternoon. Service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy because it was not busy. Location is easy to find because it’s on the corner.

We came on a Sunday afternoon and ordered a Blended white mocha with whip(4.25), 6 Beignets(2.25), Turkey Pesto(6.95) for 14.01(Used the Groupon $ 12 for $ 25) — Great place for group study. — ESPN on TV and music(JT), not too loud, in the background — Free Wi-Fi — Outlet check! — Nice seating, Especially for 4. –Decorative art. — Yummy beignets. Condense milk. powdered sugar all over my shorts. xD — Really tall white mocha. 24oz. Better than Starbucks. — Turkey Pesto like Panera. But Panera is better. Also has sun dried tomatoes. — Nice gift card. Remaining groupon balance.

I am thoroughly addicted to their Caramel Lattes! I won’t drink it from anywhere else! I love love love their beignets! I will scarf down all 6(I’m so greedy!). I do not like choking on the powdered sugar so I tell them to only put condensed milk on it! I love that their coffees are organic! Service is always great and the staff is super friendly and chill. Nice place to relax and hang out. Love the cute décor inside and the terrariums!!! Get the groupon deal! $ 11 for $ 22 worth of food or drink! Best deal ever!

I got a Groupon for this place and it was close to my bf’s house, so I figured we can pop in for some brunch on a Sunday. We ended up being late for breakfast, so we had lunch instead. I had a California panini and my bf had a chicken salad panini. He thought his was ok, but I couldn’t eat enough of mine. If the sandwiches had been larger, I’d have eaten more. However, the service was MEH. They ignored our drink orders and instead sat on their cell phones for a good 20 minutes until I wandered back up and said um, what about our coffees? They apologized, but eh. I really think they should pay closer attention to customers. The organic coffee was ok but just ok.

Tourane coffee is good. Just that alone. Not a fan of their beignets. Even though they’re made fresh, it was extremely chewy. Friendly service. Pretty cheap.

I came into this place totally on a whim while on vacation w/my family. I woke up that morning and was looking on Groupon for their express deals or whatever they’re called. Anyways this popped up and was $ 3 for 6 beignets and a 16oz drink, so I didnt want to pass it up. My husband and I went in, and I was surprised that there werent very many people there for a sunday. I wasnt sure if that was a good or bad thing. Anyways the girl at the counter was really friendly and explained to me that we could get any 16oz drink, which made hubby happy cause he didnt want coffee. The beignets came out pretty quick and were piping hot!!! There was a lot of powdered sugar on them, which caused a problem when taking them out of the bag and having my AC on… the icing that comes with them is really really good and is probably nothing more than a simple watered down icing. The beignets were very tasty as well, although there were some tough spots that required a little extra gnawing. Good place overall and I may stop back by when I am in town again.

I thought the Beignets were alright. It wasn’t very busy in there so maybe the dough had been sitting out for a while. They tasted a bit stale… On the positive side, the black coffee is really good and the atmosphere is very relaxing because it’s not a hustle and bustle kind of place. My boyfriend ordered a vanilla latte and it was so bitter. I like my coffee black but it was intensely bitter. I love that the parking lot is not packed and there are a lot of spots available.

Great coffee, excellent quality! (I’m SUPER picky with my coffee) Superb Service and the beignetes … OMG! to die for. Fresh baked with condensed milk!!! They go perfectly with a latte They also have other non-caffeinated drinks, I tried the mango smoothie and it was absolutely delicious. In my next visit I’m going to try their iced latte. No more Starbucks!!! Highly recommended!

Caramel latte, check. Fresh, piping hot biegnets, check. Lightly sweetened tropical iced tea, double check. We get there and it’s a coolish, windy afternoon, so we order caramel lattes and the beignets. Just a couple minutes later, we get our lattes and we take sips. The latte is creamy and rich without being cloying in sweetness, with just enough buttery caramel to make you want more of the latte. The espresso in it is rich and distinctive, like a milder Turkish coffee, and I could drink the espresso by itself, easily. When our beignets arrive, they are still piping hot from being made fresh(mmmmmmmm) and we dig in, spilling powdered sugar every-fricken-where, even on my clothes, but I could care less. You won’t care about anything else once you try them too, I’ll bet. We take our time, write our names in chalk on the wall behind us(we’re not deliquents ffs — it’s encouraged. Really!) We get ready to go, and I decide that I need something iced, so I elect to try the tropical iced tea, lightly sweetened. Best tropical iced tea ever. Go try it, you’ll thank me for the suggestion :) Good service, wonderful product, clean place. It needs to be within walking distance of my home, dammit.

Man, this place is SLOW! I only came here because of their Groupon, $ 9 for $ 18 worth of food. They basically gave me an $ 18 giftcard when I showed them the Groupon. I also got a 10% discount for my Unilocal checkin. Even though I still have $ 6 left on my giftcard, I don’t even know if I’d come back to redeem it. I ordered the following: Large blended mocha latte-meh, I’ve had better Regular strawberry smoothie-tasted like syrupy icee 18 beignets-tasted like a thick donut w powered sugar No joke, I think I waited 20 min. There were probably 8 customers and only 1 employee. After about 10min, a second employee showed up. I understand they want to make their beignets fresh, but the wait is ridiculous. If it weren’t for the Groupon and Unilocal discount, I would have only given this place 1 star.

Stopped by Café Tourane when I saw the sign touting beignets and organic coffee. There is some parking located in the back of the plaza on Lampson, so it’s somewhat accessible. I came here for the Vietnamese iced coffee and beignets. The beignets themselves are made fresh and came out piping hot, but when I finally ate them, they were a bit dense and not as fluffy as I had hoped for. The Vietnamese coffee(ca phe sua da) is actually prepared on the espresso machine and not in the slow-drip ‘ca phe phin’ so it won’t pack as much punch into the coffee as other places that make it to order, slow-drip, and with condensed milk. I like the ambiance of the café, with the chalk art wall that is open for all to write upon. There are definitely some growing pains that the café is experiencing, but overall, it got an A-OK in my book and if I ever find myself wanting some coffee and I“m in the GG area, Café Tourane might be a place to stop by. Look forward to seeing how this place grows and changes.

Room for improvement. Their beignets are crispy and served with condensed milk which is a new way of eating it for me which I liked. However, the beignets reminded me of the Doritos 3D puffs. I’m a fan of the fluffier ones like from Downtown Disney. Their strawberry shake was good, but I wish their straws were longer because if you order a 24 oz, the straw falls all the way down pass the cap. Also, drink it fairly fast or else the juices will separate. I didn’t try their coffee but I heard that was good but not the capachino shake.
