I was impressed with the service but not the food. I understand that they cook with alkaline(kangen) water but the food tasted bland. My rice came stale. My beignets were not quite beignets. They were not sweet and fluffy as I envisioned. I know they’re a fusion place(French and Vietnamese) but I believe the food could have tasted better.

Nice place but nothing really special about the restaurant. It is very small and narrow. We ordered eggrolls, Escargots, crispy noodles and Rock n Roll Rib Eye. They charge fine dining prices for average food. $ 10.50 for a glass of wine. We won’t be back.

Customer service: The service is outstanding. The owners take their time to get know their customers and ensure their happiness. They are very polite and attentive to your needs and make you feel like a part of their family. They go out of their way to make sure you have a good experience! Atmosphere: It is very clean and well decorated. It is welcoming and has a charming French bistro feel. Food: The food is good. They take pride in the ingredients and preparation. I recommend the seared ahi tuna spring roll, crispy filet de sol roll, and the coquilles Saint Jacques.

Came here for breakfast today with my mom and we ordered several items from their menu. The restaurant is a hole in the wall and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very cute and sweet. The first item we got was their cha gio. It was probably the best thing that we ate today. I had ordered the rib eye steak special with garlic noodles. I ordered the rib eye to be medium, but it came out well done. They didn’t seasoned the steak properly so there were areas where it was more salty than others. The garlic noodles were a bit overcooked and flavoring wasn’t that great. The owner of the restaurant was our server and he was very prompt and continued to ask us if we needed anything. He did have great service.

Over expensive and not real french taste. Kangen 8 Oz rib eye was 25 dollars. I ordered medium and the meat was welldone. Too much service, smothered with kindness.

Nice little hole in the wall, a very mellow atmosphere, almost romantic. The host(who was probably the owner) greeted us and chatted with us for a bit. Very nice guy, told us a bit about his background and experience. Giving this a familial feel to the restaurant. This restaurant has alot of unique food you don’t see anywhere else, such as pekking duck pizza and salmon phở. The one thing that I wasn’t too thrilled about was the Kangen alkaline water(I don’t feel like ingesting the same stuff they use for batteries). Had some Kangen tea(don’t remember the full name, but it cost $ 3.50) that tasted like copper to me, but my friend liked it… so take it as you will. The food itself was delicious, we ordered the egg roll for an appetizer which was one of the best I’ve tasted. We both got steak, I got the Kangen special and my friend got the Nakano steak. The steak was about $ 25 each(same price as what you’d expect from a higher end restaurant) and the way that the cooked it was awesome. Very tasty and excellent flavoring. Unique taste to the meal. My only gripe with the entrée is that they use cheap meat. Not even angus. Had the meat been of better quality, I’d give it 5 stars. For dessert we got some type of flan. The flan was so good! It was slightly bitter to perfection. The slight bitterness of the flan countered the sweetness of the flan. It was perfect. I admit it is a pricey for the area, but perfect to bring a date there for a unique experience.

The Skinny: What the heck!!! Worst experience EVER. If you are going to bill yourself as a unique cuisine restaurant with high prices, make your service and food worth that extra cost we are putting in!!! Environment: I will admit that the décor of the restaurant does make you feel like you are in a nice restaurant on the higher end side and makes you expect great service and food and that you would be paying more for that quality. Service: Oh my gosh. They need to learn the balance between smothering the customer and informing the customer. I don’t know who owns the place or who runs it, but we had a genuinely nice host who was nice to explain all the dishes to us. However, she should leave it at that and just answer our questions if we have any. The person taking care of cleaning our table or taking our plates took their sweet time doing it. I sat there watching and twiddling my thumbs impatiently as the person slowly moves the utensils onto the plate as if he is carefully lining up a balancing act of eggs on chopsticks with extreme OCD and all the time in the world. I got so fed up, I started cleaning up my stuff on my plate and pushing it to him, but he STILL took a long time. Ordering the food, I had wanted to order one of their 6 unique pizzas they recommended. I had requested them to not put cheese on the pizza, and they were fine with it. 15 minutes later, someone from the back who looked like the owner said«Can we suggest that you put cheese on the pizza? It won’t taste good if there is no cheese» and we responded with our insistence that we can’t have cheese on it, and he responded with«We can’t make it without cheese». WHATTHEHECK??? How are you NOT able to make it without cheese? Did you pre-order the pizza with cheese already cooked into it??? So for our main order, they asked me what type of food I would like, and I said I’m still looking at it, and they kept pushing saying«Tell us what kind of style you like and we can recommend it to you»… LEAVEMEALONE. Then they had the nerve to say«Whatever you request, we will be able to make it to your liking.» OHREALLY? What happened to that no cheese pizza??? So because this is billed as a French Restaurant, they suggested their different kinds of desserts and I decided on the Tiramisu to see how they made theirs. 5 minutes later, «We apologize, but we are out of Tiramisu. Can I recommend you something else?» REALLY??? Food: We had several dishes throughout our experience, most of which were not our first choices. Seared Ahi Spring Rolls: These were NOT seared at all. These were basically veggie spring rolls with pieces of raw Ahi in it. Escargot: THISISNOTESCARGOT, freakin liars. They took the shell of other snails and filled the inside with two pieces per shell of NON escargot. AHHH!!! Duck salad: They really overwhelmed the duck with their peking sauce. I get that it’s peking duck, but there is a point where you start to feel like you are drinking peking sauce soup with bits of duck. Ribs: These were okay, but nothing stellar about it at all. Beef Brisket Ragu: These were supposed to be braised, but the meat still ended up being pretty chewy. Not what I expected. Crème Brûlée: WHATTHEHECKWASTHIS?! I was already not happy that they did not have Tiramisu at a freakin«French Fusion» restaurant, but their alternative was HORRIBLE. The crème tasted slightly sour and spoiled, and the sugar on top was a tiny puddle drop in the middle of the top layer that barely constituted as a layer of anything. REALLY??? Overall: 1⁄5 The prices were waaaaay overpriced for the horrible service and food that you get. Don’t. Ever. Go. Here. If you do, you must be a glutton for punishment and have extra, extra money to blow on stuff. Still, spend it elsewhere.

We went to eat here for lunch. The restaurant was empty. It is not a good sign but we decided to try the food anyway. The food was okay, not good. It is totally OVERPRICED. We were expecting 5 star food for the the price that we had to pay but it is not. We give ½ star. The owner said it is French Vietnamese. I’m Vietnamese. I am also a chef. My wife and friends ordered seafood. For the price they paid, they should have gotten REALCRAB. They got IMITATION crab meat. VERYDISAPPOINTED. One person had shrimp and pasta. It was 18.95 for this dish. It came with 4 shrimp and dried and no flavor pasta. I can make better than this. I have eaten at 5 Star Italian restaurant. It is less and taste 1000% better. The WORST part is they RIPPED us off and charged us $ 100.00 to sit there and talk. Why didn’t the owner have the courtesy to tell us that if you sit here and talk then there is a $ 100.00 fee. Then we would have left and gone somewhere else to eat and give someone else the business. You just don’t charge and take advantage of the customer by not disclosing this ridiculous nonsense upfront. We were SHOCKED. We complained and it was taken off the bill. We will never ever eat here again. We will never ever refer anyone here. VERYBADEXPERIENCE!!!

We came by to try this new restaurant with an unusual name recently opened in Korean section of Garden Grove. The name is interesting since its related to a healthy water brand but we realized why it is so– they cook and wash, everything using alkalinized water. The owners are strong believer of this water and explained to us why they use it. The water served do taste better. We are not familiar with it but will read more about it. As for the décor and ambience, it’s romantic and nice to the eyes. Music is soft and you do get the French bistro feel to it. The owner is experienced restauranteur and himself, with the Chef are French émigré. The French food is authentic. We lunched on escargot, steak, sea bass and scallops. All were good. Will come back for dinner to have more serious food and wine pairing. They boast a top of line wine collection. Nice little gem.
