3 ½ stars. I’ve been eating here for some years as it’s my mother’s favorite place for banh cuon. I honestly feel like the food has actually gotten better. The banh cuon is really solid, not amazing but definitely good enough that I come back. The duck soup I think is really good. I come here debating whether I should order this instead of the banh cuon. We may get better service than most everyone because my mother knows the owner, not because they’re friends, but because she’s been here so many times.

Wanted to squeeze in breakfast before a busy day ahead. We ordered: 1. Phở Ga: chicken phở. Very good broth. Has ginger in the soup, so there’s a bit of bitterness. Good dipping sauce. 2. Banh Cuon Thit Gio Lua Cha Chien: steam rolls w. ground pork and Vietnamese sausage. Delicious! Very soft and just the right amount of chewyness of the Banh Cuon(sticky rice paper kinda?) Parking was pretty easy and service was quick. Can’t wait to go back!

Good stuff! I hear a lot of people complaining about the service, but we thought it was fine. My wife left her cell charging under the tv and when we came back they were helpful. They also served us quick and kept a clean reataraunt, so no complaints here. We live in sd and would love to have a place like this in our neighborhood. Until then we will be coming back here.

My cousins took me here since I was visiting from the east coast. I had a craving for Bun Rieu so I ordered a bowl of that. It was pretty good! My cousins ordered the Banh Cuon since that’s what the restaurant is known for. They gave me a portion of their order so that I could have a taste but it wasn’t that great to me. The banh cuon was thin and lacking fillings.

Went to this place because my boss liked the food here and wanted me to to go some for him. This guy is super rude to customers. The man before me wanted the cha lua inside the refrigerator, this guy said in Vietnamese: «muon thi tho tay vao lay di.»(Means stick your hand in and get it yourself). We waited a long time for us to get our to go order. There’s a bell, we rang it a couple of times yet he didn’t come, I can see him walking around the dining area. He took our orders and we asked how long is it gonna take. He just said«Khong biet, dem vao nha bep lam»(don’t know, I just bring it to the kitchen). If you want to be pissed while eating your food, then this is the place to go.

Simple menu. Most banh cuon shops usually don’t fill me up, but this place did it. My grandma and I decided to have lunch here. She’s a frequent guest here and wanted me to try it. To my delight, there was no wait. Place looked cleaned and the parking was wide open. With a simple menu, my decision was easy. Got the number 2, sliced steam pork with grounded pork inside the banh cuon. Served with fish sauce on the side. I liked how they had an extra bottle of sauce in case some people who like to drench their plates. The veggies were on the side. Nice little setup they had. Now the selling part was that they made this fresh. I liked that they had layered the cakes on rather than how most places roll it up. For the price, I certainly knew I got a good portion. There were fried onions and little bits of dried beef(i think thats what it is called). Overall, fast service and easiness. I noticed they had some noodle selection. Perhaps I will try it out next time.

Terrible service here. The old guy is really disrespectful. I asked for a sperate dish of chicken for phở mi ga and he just put it inside the dish when I told him to put it separately. Food here sucks even the banh cuon!

I take my wife and daughter to his Viet Banh Cuon restaurant every weekend. Usually we order the Special combo and Bun Vit Sao mang… My wife loves the steam rolls her bc it’s prepared to order. The food is fresh and delicious. The bun Vit comes with a duck salad so it’s a lot of food. The Nuoc mam hereis second to none. She drenched the nuoc mam over the Banh cuon. Hehe. Give his a try: ask for some soy sauce, sugar, and a piece of lemon. Mix it all together and dip the Banh cuon in it. I love eatin b.c. This way bc i don’t wanna eat fish sauce all the time. P. s. This place is very clean and you can tell by how clean they keep the restroom. Thanks for reading

There are only a few places in Little Saigon that I will have ‘banh cuon’, a Vietnamese dish consisting of rice paper that is the rolled with either dried shrimp, pork and mushrooms, or eaten plain. It is served with slices of plain and deep-fried pork«meatloaf»(for lack of a better word) or «cha lua & cha chien» for the informed. Here, the banh cuon is prepared to order, which means a bit of a wait if you’re used to the quick service at places like Banh Cuon Tay Ho. My mom and I both ordered the ‘Banh Cuon Dac Biet’ — a combination of all the different types of banh cuon all on one plate. Although there are times the rice paper is poured so quickly it comes out mushy and sticks together, overall they do a great job here. They always give you a small bowl and a plate of bean sprouts and mint. It’s great to just put a few pieces of banh cuon in your bowl, add some sprouts, and then a small spoonful of nuoc mam(fish sauce). Though I prefer the banh cuon over at Phở Tau Bay LTT, this is a great alternative. Now I’m craving more Vietnamese food…

I’m not a big fan of Banh Cuon(Vietnamese rice crêpe) but my dad is so when we decided to meet up for lunch, he suggested this place. I never even knew this was a sit down restaurant since the main sign reads«Lo Gio Cha» which means place that makes Vietnamese meat loafs. I was pretty hungry and when I sat down I realized they offer about 5 dishes. Banh Cuon, Bun Vit Sao Mang(duck with bamboo shoot vermicelli), Bun Rieu(crab with egg/tomato paste vermicelli), Bun Moc(shitake mushrooms with ground pork balls vermicelli) and I forgot the rest. A lot of items are offered a small or large plate. Banh Cuon Dac Biet(rice crêpe special). Nothing so «Dac Biet»(special) other than the steamed cha(meat loaf) slices and fried cha. Those were mighty tasty and full of flavor. My dad said he really loved the Banh Cuon here since it was prepped super thin. Dad wasn’t kidding. Shit was so thin my banh cuon stuck together. Instead of placing one cut up piece in my mouth I kinda hovered over my plate like a dog and just picked up my banh cuon with it all stuck together and started biting off of it. =( And if you know how Banh Cuon is, after it is drenched in Nuoc Mam(fish sauce), there tends to be small splashes of fish sauce if you don’t put the entire piece in your moutht. So yes, it was nice to head into work smelling like Nuoc Mam. I’m sure people just found me pleasant to be around. This place seems quite popular for ordering Banh Cuon by the lb and different meat loafs for to-go purposes.
