This review is for January 2013:
My parents saw a commercial on a Vietnamese station and went to check this place out. They seemed very straight forward when dealing with my parents. My parents spoke to them in Vietnamese, but it seems like the technician who does the installations speaks Cantonese and Mandarin as well.
My parents went to some other Vietnamese place before when we first moved into our house, but the fan was weak, and when it broke, the place wouldn’t honor their warranty. Another customer came in with an issue with their range hood, but then the owner quickly gave them a replacement. My parents didn’t want one of their higher end range hoods so we went with the one they recommended, the PR3030. My parents liked the price on it so they went with it. This place does free installation within certain miles of their store and so our installation was free for my parent’s house.
The technician arrived at my parent’s house a few days later and quickly installed the range hood. It looked perfectly installed with no blemishes and looked straight. My mom wanted to try it out right away cooking a really stinky Vietnamese dish. The range hood did an amazing job on clearing out the smell! My parents highly recommend this place to all their friends.
Here are some things to note:
The store workers seems to only speak Vietnamese and Chinese well. People who only speak English might have a harder time buying from here, but it is so worth it. Our friends always complain about the American range hoods being too weak and looking ugly.
The range hoods are made in Taiwan, NOT China.
The range hoods come with a lifetime motor warranty.
They install free within some miles from their store.
There’s a yummy Chinese noodle place and a yummy dessert place next to them!
Parking in the Wilson Center gets a bit busy, try parking next door at the dentist lot.

The sales people at Pacific Home Appliances are the nicest people. They go out of their way to accommodate the needs of their customers near or far. Being in sales myself, I see that they are very ethical in the details of their products and the disclosures to customers prior to make the sale. Installation is done and not limited to time. This business definitely deserves repeat businesses and referrals to all my friends and family.
