I’ve decided that antiquing is my anxiety therapy. Geneva Antiques Market calms my busy mind as I slowly and thoroughly make my way through its many rooms, each one carefully packed with history. As I search through drawers of rhinestone brooches, I can see the ladies who once pinned them to their blouses. As I search for vintage pyrex, I think about my grandmother baking in her kitchen. As I lightly run my fingers along the spines of books, I imagine the libraries where these were once proudly shelved. Every antique store is a ticket to the past, and the Geneva Antiques Market is no exception. The staff are helpful and accommodating, giving invaluable insights to each treasure I question. And with each visit I make, a vintage brooch finds a new home and a new history to begin creating with me.

A cute little store in «downtown» Geneva. Stop in while you’re in the area and see what’s around. I loved the jewelry, lots of stuff in various levels of quality. I got three bead necklaces for 30 $, better quality than what you can find for similar prices these days. I loved the diversity of items in here. I walked around browsing through everything for the better part of an hour. The only confusing part is that there are several rooms that aren’t attached that make up the store, and to buy something you have to find the main room to check out. It’s not really annoying, just not terribly straightforward at first.
