We stopped into Harriet’s Café our first morning in Genoa. It was cold out so I ordered a coffee and Bloody Mary($ 7) to warm me up. I decided on French Onion soup(yes, for — $ 8). The idea of warm, cheesy, soupy goodness was perfect for the 10 degree day. Husband ordered a plate of eggs, biscuits and gravy, and potatoes($ 7.50). When our server brought out the soup I actually thought it was a joke. The serving was so, so small. I couldn’t believe it. Casey had lots of food on his plate, so I shared what he couldn’t finish, but I was pretty disappointed with my order. The drink was good, service was good, but we decided to find a different place for breakfast the next day instead of returning.

So after a day soaking in the hot springs we were all starving, so decided to try Harriets Café since did not think we could make it back to CC without sustenance! Did not expect much from this little café but was pleasantly surprised! The café is only open for breakfast and lunch, and closes at 3:30pm. A quick review of the menu board found a limited number of food options. They also offer a variety of coffee drinks as well as a variety of beer and wine choices which you are allowed to take with you to the hot spring pools! We decided on the blackened grilled chicken sandwich with a cup of french onion soup, a reuben sandwich, and a hamburger with fries. The chicken was good quality and moist with the right amount of blackened Cajun seasoning. The french onion soup was tasty and not salty which unfortunately can be a downside for this soup. The reuben had good, lean corned beef on it and the bread was very fresh. The hamburger was nice and thick, and the fries had a tasty salt and pepper seasoning on them. Overall found the taste and quality of the food was far better than what I expected based on appearances when entered! My only recommendation is they could make it clearer when entering if expected to order from the counter or to have a seat and they will take your order. We were unsure so after reviewing the menu went to the counter only to learn they do have table service. Also the place is small but was pretty full, and there were only 2 staff to cover the counter and tables. So the service is not fast, however the server was friendly and very nice. So anytime visiting the hot springs and get hungry, will gladly try Harriet’s again!

Considering you don’t have any other options for breakfast lunch here, it wasn’t bad and the prices were decent. I got the eggs benedict– not the best I’ve ever had, and the sourdough bread was a bit too sour for me. But it was fine. The service is pretty decent, food takes a little while, but you aren’t going anywhere. In summary, decent for resort food.

Such a cute Café! It was some of the best food I have had outside of my own kitchen. The kitchen skillet was so fresh and tasty. My boyfriend got the Mark Twain burger and it was cooked perfectly! All around a great experience :)

Good breakfast! Order anything, it’s all good. Tasty home fries, french toast and eggs cooked perfectly to order. Scrumptious bacon and sausage! Excellent service. Starbucks coffee as well. Sit outside and enjoy the hot springs and the views of the Sierra Nevada.

The breakfast burrito was solid, nothing to write home about but would order it again. The three stars come from the cooks. It took them a half hour to make it and café was not even packed! Our server was good she sensed our urgency and looked to move it along. Otherwise it would be three star.

Great prices, superb service and amazingly good food! Glad we tried out this place for breakfast, they even have Starbucks coffees. This is one of the only places on the resort where we could have our puppy, so we were there a couple times. Sure made up for the fact that the rest of the resort was absolute $h!t

Omg their home fry and egg Benedict is awesome. Hollandaise sauce is so thick its finger licking good. Wife had awesome biscuit and gravy clearly made from scratch and bacon bits. Real McCoy Minor ding is the mixed green veggies was a bit wilt and basic. But topped with excellent apple vinegar dressing.

My husband and I spent the weekend at David Walleys and ate several meals at Harriet’s Café. The food was absolutely delicious! Healthy too! Highly recommend eating there.

Great food & service! Came in early to get a table outside. It was a lovely morning. Best view while sipping a cup of freshly made coffee & waiting for my eggs & bacon. Life is good!

Love Harriet’s! I think I’ve had almost everything on the menu since it’s the only thing walking distance from Walleys and I travel there for business. Everything is fresh, the wait staff is quick. The prices are pretty good. My favorite thing has to be the breakfast burrito with bacon. They make their cappuccinos really delicious also. And that peanut butter shake is to die for!

Harriet’s Café here at Wally’s Hot Springs is the coffee shop restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch when you are here at the hot springs. The main dining room only serves dinner. They serve Starbucks coffee products here, although the prices are a bit higher than you local Starbucks. The main thing I see lacking here is the speed of the service. The staff is all friendly and you food will eventually get to you, but it’s just real slow. The kitchen may have a low capacity or something, but what the hell, you got an appointment to keep or a movie to go to? …Just relax and and put yourself on slow mo time. The food is pretty standard. Better than Denny’s for sure, but when the main kitchen served lunch and breakfast, that was some real quality stuff and service coming out. But no more. Breakfast is most of your normal breakfast items, eggs, toast, hashbrowns. Lunch is sandwiches and burgers. The burgers are actually pretty good. I suppose unless you are staying here, I’d not make a special trip to have lunch or breakfast. It serves it’s purpose to feed the guests. I stopped here once when I was on a bike ride and ran out of fuel … bicycle, not moto. I need me some carbs! I pull in all wobbly and order a side of fries … so I’m sitting waiting just dreaming of some carbs! It took a while, but I had no choice … I wish a In N Out was here! But they did save the day and I was refueled. Harriet’s is fine as a food service for the resort.

Ok. The food was superb. I cannot complain. Great waitresses and staff. Sweet as heck. Relatively good priced too. The resort itself concerning the parent compaines– awful! if you go on the mini vacation. do NOT buy the timeshare. Run away. They are all big fat liars. Take the mini vacay, the david walleys bucks, and RUN! Just Google the companies«Trading Places» and«Summerwinds» and you will find out way. F– rating with the BBB!

It was a pretty forgettable meal. The tables were dirty(actually disgusting) and the service was on the slow side. I ordered a veggie wrap, which had all the ingredients lumped together: a big dollop of goat cheese in the middle, stack of roasted red peppers on one side, and uncooked zucchini throughout. The fries were good. The setting outside was pretty.

A group of us had a spa day at Walley’s, and came here for lunch. The food was outstanding, as was the service. I recommend the spinach salad and grilled chicken sandwich. I ended up splitting the salad & sandwich with my friend, and the waitress gave us each our own plate with the food already split, which was a nice added touch.

We stopped here for lunch, and the next this morning since it’s in the David walleys property where we are staying for a few days. The sandwiches/burgers are good. Although they endedup putting mayo on my sandwich when specifically asked NO mayo! Was changed. I asked the server, I think Alice was her name(older lady) if she had almond milk. She said ‘yes they do’, so I ordered a chai with almond milk and Carmel sauce. I can not have reg milk or soy!!! Uodate: next morning — Just stopped by right now and the server lady from yesterday completely lied to me about having the almond milk. They do not have almond milk according to the servers today. Wtf? No wonder i was completely bloated and sick to my stomach later that day of the supposedly ‘almond drink’ That really pisses me off and I told them so. I will be contacting the manager shortly. Make Sure You Get What You Ask for. They have liars that work there. Especially for someone that has allergies, like me. x=#££_/^&! $$x#%_£0!!! So done here.

Good service, reasonable prices, quality taste, and huge portions for breakfast and lunch. This place has potential. Seems newly remodeled. Napkins provided were of high quality(some sort of microfiber napkin?). Their omelettes were tasty and huge, burgers for lunch were like half-pound-type.

Came here for breakfast because no other restaurants in Genoa are open on Mondays(?!) and was pleasantly surprised! They serve breakfast daily from 7−11am and offer all the standard breakfast fare. Saw that they have a protein shake menu, and they even serve Starbucks frappuccinos. Homemade home fries were like thick potato chips. All their omelettes can be made with egg whites, but if you like eggs benedict, definitely go for it. This breakfast was up there with 4-star breakfasts in SF or Palo Alto, but they easily earn an extra star for cooking it in the middle of nowhere.
