If you want o be treated solely as a body part Ross Benthien is the surgeon for you. He doesn’t care about anything but the surgery. He is rude, arrogant and defensive and has no bedside manner. I wound up seeing another doctor because the post op pain was so unbearable. It turns out a nerve was inflamed and a course of steroids solved the problem. Benthien wouldn’t even talk to me.

Dr. Peter Barnett. In Feb 2014 I fell and broke my shoulder. Dr. Barnett’s office got me in right away and got me through surgery to repair my shoulder, a procedure called ORIF, open reduction internal fixation. The doctor and the clinical staff are highly skilled and respected, along with the physical therapy staff who were always friendly & personable. They always explained everything to me and answered any questions I had. Kudos to Dr. Barnett, Cathy, Lisa, Kim and Loretta. As a team they worked with me to return my range of motion to 100%. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Dr. Burton was amazing as was his PA and office staff. I had a 7:45am appt, which I was initially not thrilled about, but they got me in 2 days after I called and being early meant I was the first patient seen. They have a few electronic questionnaires to complete before your appointment, the are short and painless. I went in for two VERY painful thumbs/​wrists having De Quervain syndrome. I knew going in that the best treatment would be cortisone shots. I got a shot in each wrist, painful but worth it!!! He told me it could get worse before it got better, which it did. The second morning after the shots I woke up pain-​free. The PA told me that Dr. Burton usually does not do two areas in the same day. I explained my situation and Dr. Burton was happy to accommodate my request. I cannot recommend Dr. Burton and his office enough. BTW… I went to the Glastonbury office, avoid Seymour of you can. Parking is a nightmare and PAID.

A top notch experience. This is an enormous orthopedic practice with many doctors, but it is no matter; Dr. Dugdale was perhaps the best orthopedist I have seen in my lifetime, and I’ve seen quite a few orthopedists.
I came in for a serious double-​MCL injury sustained during a hockey game. I spent minimal time in the waiting room, and minimal time waiting for Dr. Dugdale. When he did arrive, he was able to ascertain that while the injury was serious, I wouldn’t need surgery, just prolonged rest. He intelligently fielded my questions and concerns forthwith.
Long story short, he was right. The healing period was long, but I made it through, sans surgery. Hopefully I won’t NEED to see him again soon, but if I do, I will :).
