You may come across many barbershops on Unilocal that do the same thing, but wait until you experience what a Master Barber can do! Jose takes you back to the 1920s — from the music he plays to the vintage items he has on display — but most importantly, the experience he gives you. From straight razor shaves to retro haircuts, he has a unique style and is passionate about the craft and skill of a true Master Barber! Highly recommend!!!

Jose at Dr. Barba is the man! I had been looking for a good «old school» barber in LA for a while but I couldn’t find anyone that was the right fit. I’d either get a good haircut, but the beard trim or shave wasn’t that good — or — a good beard trim and shave but the haircut was lacking. Jose has both down pat. The straight shave is really great (best I’ve had), and he is able to carefully shape my beard just the way I like it. Jose is super cool and takes tremendous pride in his craft. I always leave feeling like a million bucks!
