Really disappointed with trip this morning; I’ve been a einsteins customer since I was a kid. It’s always been a great treat! While everyone was pleasant and quick, I wish they would have taken another second to actually put some cream cheese on my bagel since I paid for it. By the time I spread it on my bagel, it barely covered. For three bucks, I don’t need a whole container but enough to fully cover my bagel would have nice.

Be careful when you visit the store because they have a chaotic parking lot where people are not careful when backing out. But I like coming here because their food is yummy and the employees are nice. Their café is small so it’s very crowded in the morning but I never had any issues with my order. Beware of the parking lot!

Customer service all the way at this stop. I know it’s a chain, and most people have experienced this place at least once in their life. So, to shake things up I’ll report on the brand new Tuscan bagel, an original potato bagel covered with a new rosemary herb topping. It’s my new favorite bagel at Einstein’s, and for an afternoon bite it’s like having a schmear on a loaf of Italian bread in the Tuscan countryside. Yum! It’s not a bagel I would personally order for a breakfast bite, but in the afternoon it’s a great choice for one of their tasty sandwiches. Next up, my review of the mixed berry smoothie. The truth is, after going through two straws to attempt to even sip the smoothie, I gave up and opened the lid, the spoon went in, and it was ice chunky and not smooth.(grrrr…) The not-so-smooth smoothie went back, and the guy behind the counter gave me a free bagel and insisted I try the strawberry banana. I didn’t like the flavor so much, but it was at least easier to sip. The point of this review is that the staff here is top notch and actually care about the customer experience. They guy behind the counter was determined to make sure I left happy. I just wish I would have liked the smoothie. Not worth it. From concentrate and just too difficult to enjoy! On a totally unrelated note: It’s connected to Boston Market, so when you go in the doors on Waukegan, hang a left! Oh, and Matt R is right about the parking… it’s a crazy lot with an accident waiting to happen.

I used to work near this location but hadn’t been here in years until the other day. The place is just as busy as ever! The employees are still really friendly and work efficiently for a very busy location. Since this is a chain I don’t really feel it necessary to go over the food options as they are the same as every other Einstens. That being said Einstein’s bagels are huge, basically one is like two regular bagels. My kids love these bagels. Best deal is the pack… a baker dozen bagels with two cream cheeses of your choice. Of note at this particular location is the atmosphere/layout. The physical location is kind of odd as it connects through to a Boston Market. Seating is fairly limited and it is kind of dark which can at times give the impression of it being dirty. I did love the fact that when I was there the other day there was a group of women playing Mah Jongg. It made the place seem like a community gathering place, cozy and informal. Finally it’s nice that they do have outdoor tables for the seventeen good days of weather we get each year.

visited Einstein’s on the 27th of Aug, meeting an acquaintance there. I ordered a lox & bagel. I doubt these bagels are poached which makes them round bread with a hole in the center. The. Quantity of lox was paltry. All of these opinions are made in the light of comparing Einstein’s B&L with my Bagelry &BISTROBACK in Long Beach, CA. On the other hand, the company was terrific. So, what more could one possibly want? Well, a better L&B than offered by Einstein’s.

Hard to evaluate because they NEVERHAVEBAGELS!!! What a joke. And by the way, I’m not visiting to see a theater production with their terrible servers. Never again.

Love, love, love this place! My favorite bagel shop. Great selection of bagels, shmears, and coffee. The oj is super delicious too! I usually go for the spinach florentine bagel, but I got there a bit late in the day and they were all gone =(I settled for a green chile bagel toasted with low fat plain shmear and was not disappointed! Savory, warm, and creamy gooey. Perfect with my hazelnut coffee. This specific location was so pretty with the snow outside and the warm toasty inside. I found a spot at the bar stools with a great view of the snow and did some people watching before running errands. Great little lunch that put me in a pleasant mood and boosted my energy!

This location is great here, although it is also odd that there is an Apple Bagel and Starbucks right behind it. The cream cheese here is the hit for me, the garden veggie and garlic for the savory me and the blueberry and peach/mango for the sweet in me. It is just nice to have that choice! If I am indecisive, almond. The service here was pleasant and cheerful(even at 6:30am! and with my grumpy face! and with two coupons which made our order come up to $ 0!) The coffee here is acceptable, but the vanilla/hazelnut was a bit watered down that morning. We be back for that variety bucket!

Nice location, gets a little slow serving people. The plaza is just a sideswipe away from an accident, however. There are like 3 – 4 turns right in front of Einstein Brothers where it’s hard to see(and very easy to be hit by) other cars. It has never happened to me, but I swear every day is an accident waiting to happen up there. Food is normal priced, bagels are clean and the staff are using the appropriate stuff so they’re not touching the food directly with their hands. They do have a nice selection, and are humorously ignorant to their own«premium bagels». What I mean is that if you get a half dozen or dozen and some of them are the«premium»(note: extra charge, more like baguettes, the bagels don’t have a hole in em), when you get to the cashier they won’t charge you extra for them. It’s pretty funny actually. Conversations are like this: me: «I’d like one of those jalapeño bagels» bagel packer guy, hahaha: «Okay, by the way, those are extra cost» cashier: «so, what did you order?» me: «bakers dozen of bagels with the cream cheese special etc» cashier proceeds to ring you up for the bakers dozen thing. Honestly, a bagel is a bagel. I can’t really see any rationalization for charging extra for something that otherwise in a bagel machine would simply be thrown away depending on the type of machine, or eaten by staff. Meanwhile, it is a nice little niche place to go, and is pretty busy.

Just a basic chain bagel restaurant. I love their variety of bagels, the asiago cheese is a must. They also have an excellent variety of cream cheese. Their sweet CC’s tend to be better than their savory ones. Excellent freshly squeezed orange juice at some locations is a definite enticement. For a quick and convenient breakfast. Einstein’s is a great choice. If you want more authentic bagels, I would recommend a place like New York Bagel and Bialy(Lincolnwood, Skokie and Niles)
