We stayed here for a night on a road trip and booked thru the Hotel Tonight app. Prices were definitely reasonable, but once we got to our room it smelled so strongly of cigarettes. Supposedly was a non-smoking room, but we were too tired to call the desk so just cranked the a/c and fell asleep. Comfortable beds/pillows. Front desk service was very slow, although we got to the hotel at midnight so that is understandable. Overall my advice would be to just ask for a non-smoking room! Definitely easy to find if you are just driving through for a night.

Saturday June 20, 2015 may be the last time I ever stay at ANY Holiday Inn. The ONLY reason I give this place is 2 stars is the breakfast. $ 187 for 1 night for one room with a king? Lucky for them I was tired. I should have known I would get bad service when the only things she told me about were the location of the elevators, and the breakfast bar. Not a word about the fitness center, pool, or any other ameneties this hotel may have had to offer. There was no one waiting to be checked in behind me, so why the rush? After my check-in it was fun watching all the others get mad at the price and go elsewhere. I wish I had. I should have known this is why their parking lot was half empty. I told the lady at the front desk I had ben with Holiday Inn before, and was a member of their rewards club as I stayed at Hoilday Inn’s all over the country. I was ignored. She couldn’t have cared less. I am from Las Vegas, where hospitality means listening effectively, and anticipating the needs of your guest, not acting like you are doing them a favor. Later when I said how I loved Holiday Inn because most were pet friendly, 3 times she reminded me there was a $ 250 fine and this hotel was not pet friendly as each operator can do as they please. I told her the cat was at home, and to relax! My shower was ok until I noticed a curly black hair 6 inches above my head on the wall. Yuck! I needed extra towels, but didn’t care to ask the Kremlin at the front desk for a favor. SO I get no points for my stay, and no service. No thank you!

Nice remodel. Too bad acoustics and the door closer not tight so you hear all noise above you and every door slams shut. Room shook every time doors slammed. Bed was comfy at least. Breakfast so so. More stars had we slept but noise wouldn’t allow for people who don’t get it with children at 430 am! Not worth $ 175.00 a night!

I lived in Grand Junction for a lot of years so I know the quality of hotels in this town. HORRIBLE. When I come back to visit for work I am extremely picky about my hotels. We booked with the Holiday Inn Express because it was away from the mess of hotels on Horizon Drive. Came home one night to the entire parking lot FULL with numerous trucks & trailers for a cycling team. I was irritated because I knew that not only did they have trucks with trailers but they also has many vans to carry everyone. The older gentlemen at the front desk was very courteous to us and told us the young lady getting off her shift from the front desk that we could have her parking spot. He even offered to go out in the rain and stand in the spot so nobody would take it. We, of course, told him that wasn’t necessary! But the thought was amazing. Then we tried to get a late check out and the lady at the front desk said they were full. We aren’t leaving town until later this afternoon so I was a little upset. Called back down there, spoke to Dani at the front text and she was willing to work with us to this us that extra hour we needed to get our belongings together & head out. Great customer service. I definitely recommend staying here.

The bf and I stopped in here on our road trip back to California. The front desk Quoted us a price of $ 114 with AAA but mentioned their pool and hot tub was under maintenance until Monday. Not a big deal for us. It was nice that they mentioned that. I suppose if it’s a big deal for some guests, they would stay at the other holiday inn express eight miles away off the interstate. Room on the second floor was nice. Pillows were labeled soft and firm. Microwave and mini frig. They even had paper plates and plasticware set up! that’s an awesome find! However, you do hear everrrrytthing. From the kid running up and down the hall upstairs, to the tv playing in the room next door to the shower being used. But the hotel is conveniently located across the street from a gas station, a drive thru Starbucks, a fro-yo shop, and there’s even a City Market(grocery store), Kohl’s and further down the street there’s a Buffalo Wild Wings, Golden Corral, Cabela’s and TJ Maxx!

This hotel has recently been renovated and has great amenities. We got a great deal on a two-bedroom, three bed suite for $ 125. This was an actual extra bedroom with a door, not just a half-wall«suite» some other HI properties offer. The beds have double-wrapped linens which I like. The included breakfast was about what you’d expect although it was not well attended to as the pancake maker, hot water and orange juice were all empty. Good location, restaurants and a Starbucks nearby.
