I brought my special needs child to the Shane Dawson event. There was an Africian american lady working the event who treated my daughter with so much love and care. She and my daughter talked and laughed together which is not the norm for my child. I want to say thank you to everyone especially the special lady who made my daughter feel Important. Before we left Anne(I called the store to find out her name) found my daughter and gave her a signed poster of Shane. My daughter hugged her. We came back Saturday to shop in your store because of the way we were treated at the event. I had never shopped Books A Million before but it is wonderful place to shop and the customer service was amazing. Also they told me Anne was their DM which I could not believe. Most executives do not care about customers.

What can you say about a Books A Million but it is a very nice place to browse around and check out there awesome book selection. The books a million always has what i am looking for. The staff is also very helpful if you need to order hard to get books.

It is open! It’s called BAM and on the other side of the mall next to entrance 4. Manager — Lee — was really nice!

I stopped in to pick up a gift and ended up browsing for nearly 90 minutes. This store is huge! I have no idea how they organize the titles though — you just go into a section and hunt until you find something. It is not alphabetical by author or any other way that I can tell. The magazine section is spectacular — I have never seen some of the titles they stock. If you know what you want — you can get in and out relatively quickly. If you go in to just browse — set an alarm. You can lose a startling amount of time in there. The two things holding this back from a five star store is the lack of a discernible method of organizing their books and the awful customer service. I only saw one salesperson the entire time I was there and she just materialized out of nowhere to run the register.

This place has so many books just be prepared to sift through some junk before you find your treasure. They have a great selection of magazines. I found a gigantic selection of tattoo magazines that you normally don’t find at other stores. There are so many books here you would really need to either know what your looking for or plan on spending hours here just looking around. This probably isn’t the perfect place for an indecisive person like myself but hey to just get away and read or look at whatever you want is always cool. This is very easy to do here since they have so many books, magazines, calendars to choose from. Hey you can even grab yourself a coffee or other form off carbonation and continue on your journey of finding whatever catches your eye. I was really impressed with magazines that I had interest in primarily gun mags and tattoo mags with so many to choose from. They have those hard to find and very uncommon tattoo mags that you normally find deep in the hood.

I was at Grapevine Mills getting a Banana gift card for my sisters birthday. I walk by Books-A-Million on the way out to my car. I’m really into collecting cookbooks right now so I decided to pop in and take a looksy. What a freaking tasty cookbook section they have! They had a bunch of Thomas Keller books that I usually don’t see popping up at B&N. Normally I can’t tell how bookstores are organizing the cookbooks. But here, it was very deliberate: culinary writing, high end chef recipes, food tv people, then random people rollin the dice on writing that cookbook that they’ve been dreaming about for years. After perusing the chef collections, I moved onto art. Great art section. They have all the Taschen collective books that I love and also collect. I walked to the back to check out the 75% off section. This is where I got a little pissed. I found this book back there for 12 dollars and I had literally just purchased the exact same book at B&N for 33 dollars. Eff! I bought it and returned the ridiculously overpriced copy. There is also an expansive magazine section. Lots of random mags that I can’t pick up just anywhere. I’m going to say that this is my new favorite bookstore; over Borders, over B&N, and over the Half Priced on Greenville. The only negative thing is that its in a mall. But the reason why I went in here was solely because it was in a mall. So, its not that negative I guess.

Good selection, but there’s an awful lot of crap, too. I guess the prices are alright: I picked up Children of Hurin in hardback here for like $ 20 due to a 40% off sale. The downside is that it’s in the middle of Grapevine Mills Mall, which means it’s constantly busy and the service sucks. For instance, there was a «buy 2, get one free» sale when I was here. I bought two books and didn’t even realize the sale was on until reading the receipt later! It wasn’t really posted in the store, nor did the employees mention it, even at checkout. Also, I don’t think it should be so hard to find books in any store with signage. The problem is that every single shelf section has a giant sign, and the shelves are too tall for the average person to see over. So it’s like a sea of giant type and it’s all pretty unhelpful considering the effort. This place didn’t impress me at all.
