Stockys Bar & Grill

Went to Stocky’s to watch the Ga.-Bama game. Left after 1^st quarter cause there was one lone person that demanded TVS be changed to Florida Stare /​Wake Forest game or he would leave. Others at his table were watching the Ga. Game while he was on his phone most of the time.. Manager chose to accommodate him, so we left.
We frequent Stocky’s, but probably our last time to try to watch a game there.
Matt is a great server, food is good, but Manager should have accommodated the other 4 tables trying to watch the Ga. Home team in the TV’s near their table.. 2^nd time this has happened.

Everything at Stockys is average. There is nothing that stands out about this place.

Bottom line: if you want good service look elsewhere.
When will this place get there act together… When they first opened I called and asked if they had a menu online and the guy was so confused. Then my husband and I went a few months later and the waiter was frazzled but there were only two or three other people there. Then my husband went to do a pick up order. The girl on the phone you can hear yelling to someone saying «do I take to go orders?» Then she takes the order but has no clue of the menu. Once she’s done taking the order you can hear her and someone else yelling back in forth about how she didn’t put it in as to go. After 5 minutes of waiting to be greeted to pick up someone comes up but is missing an item to the order. I really want to like this place but I am left to assume the owner lets this happen.

Food is absolutely delicious. Prime rib and gumbo specials are great. Burgers are awesome. Prices are very reasonable. Service needs some help but hoping they can get there. Owner and manager are wonderful and accommodating. Definitely give this place a try!

Terrible experience here, poor service and food orders were wrong or forgotten. The worst were the wings with were horrible quality, broken with jagged pieces of bone sticking out. We complained to the manager whose response was «he can’t control what the vendor sends» so I assume they have zero quality control in the kitchen. Will never be eating here again!

We went on a Saturday night. Not very crowded. They had a few people around the bar enjoying themselves. Dining room was empty. We started out with blue cheese chips. They had lots of blue cheese and dressing. Not the best I’ve ever had but not too bad. I always go to the wings for my first visit at a new place. I didn’t care for their hot wings at all. They were big and meaty but very bland. Blue cheese dressing was very cheap tasting. I wouldn’t recommend the wings. My wife had a giant chicken sandwich. It looked awesome and tasted great. You could easily split this sandwich and share.
Beers and drinks were cheap and good. Service was great. But we were the only people in the dining room eating at the time. This Saturday night seemed to be more of a bar crowd.
I will return.

Okay so let’s talk about this place. We get there there’s three of us sitting at a table 15 patrons all together at this time. The three of us ordered a drink, 15 minutes later I have to go up to the lazy bartender and ask her how far behind is she. She is just now working on that drink and does that speed her up no she walks slowly over after 3 glasses and then pours the drinking. So in 15 minutes one person on my table got their drink ten minutes later the second person got their drink and let’s not forget she ran outta line so she was trying to use lime juice, and on the 15 minute mark I got my drink because I walked up there and got it. Now our waitress was a good waitress to food was great. The waitress is actually working the entire floor taking orders and helping the customers that were there it was staying on top of things the bartender couldn’t get up three drinks in a timely manner. So basically I’m assuming she must be family because she sure is costing the company money. My table alone would have had 5 to 6 alcoholic beverages with dinner yes we had a total of three so he only lost potentially $ 50 and liquor sales. The only reason I gave three stars because it is good and the food was good. Will I go back more than likely not see a drink with my dinner. And if I’m going to want to have a drink I might as well go somewhere I know where the bartenders actually going to work and I stand around with her fingers up her butt doing nothing and getting paid to do nothing when everybody else is hustling to make a living. I sure do hope the owner of this company reads this review because I told the waitress surely going to be on here what I thought of his establishment. So what if he does something about it or not but what he has done is allowed that bartender to lose business for him. Unless his establishment is so well overrun with regulars and he needs no business he might want to check his bartender. And by the way I did want to point out she gave me a glass that was dirty on the outside and had to wipe it off. So basically if you want to go for a decent meal and you don’t like to have a cocktail with your meal it might be okay to stop in the food was good the service was good. But the bartenders lack of initiative essentially ruined the dinner because she just wanted to be lazy.

So I went to Stocky’s for the second time this weekend and low and behold it looked like I was in either at Hail Mary Pub or After The game. All of their bartenders were working both Friday and Saturday night… WFH! And then I was told Kenny Biba who used to own Antionetta’s was a partner. Everyone knows what happened and what you did Kenny!!! Word is out.

Food was awesome. The staff was friendly. Good experience overall. Definitely a place I will be trying again.

My husband and I came in on a Monday for dinner and some drinks, to be highly disappointed by the nonchalant attitude from the bartender. We were greeted after 5 min of sitting, we ordered 2 beers and she couldn’t remember what my husband ordered. She never offered us menus. There were other servers sitting at the bar «chillin» and on the patio smoking. Not to mention there were only 10 other guest in the whole building. It’s sad to see such poor, non-​caring, rude, unprofessional staff of a nice looking local establishment. We won’t be returning!

Good food, nice atmosphere, and decent prices make this a fine choice for a neighborhood spot. This viable alternative to chain restaurants is a good place to watch your game of choice — the 17 TVs don’t hurt either. Friendly staff will keep you coming back.

My husband and I came here Sunday evening to watch the Broncos and to have a few beers. The bar was probably ¾ full, mostly older guys with the exception of one other couple. No one in the dining area. We got there around 7:30pm and as soon as the 4pm games were over, everyone cleared out. We were the only ones left in the place. We were looking for a place with a fun atmosphere, but no problem.
Beers were $ 1.50 for a pint (Bud Light), but the glasses looked smaller than 16 oz. We both were unsure about that… may have been, may not have been. But that was no big deal to us.
After a few beers we ordered the fried mushrooms and mozzarella sticks. Both were good. And then after a few more beers we shared the most delicious Reuben sandwich. I love Reubens and this was by far the best I’ve ever had.
Bartender and manager were both very friendly, upbeat, and gave good service (Although we were the only ones there for most of our time).
I would definitely go back to watch a game, but I think next time we’ll probably invite some friends to join us. I hope they do well, anything is better than the crowd Wild Wing.

We went here to try it out because it is fairly new, seems to be doing well & is usually fairly crowded. We were VERY, VERY pleasantly surprised. The staff was super friendly, the food was delicious & we will definitely be going back. I got the shrimp basket with cole slaw (cole slaw was amazing) & hubby got a club sandwich with mac & cheese. No complaints! If they keep it up, they’ll survive there long-​term.

We live close to Stocky’s and finally went in to visit. The food is exceptional-​better than any of the other local restaurants in the price range. The wait staff was very attentive. We were there at shift change and Tristan and Bethany our waitresses were great. We were a bit concerned about service after seeing previous reviews but they have clearly fixed that problem. Great food, good service and excellent prices. For the price point it can’t be beat. Best outside seating in the area. Highly recomend!

No words could describe how poor our experience was. Attending for a friend’s birthday dinner, we experienced every issue in the book. Servers being rude and completely unprofessional for reasons such as ordering from the waitress that had just taken another guest in our party’s order sitting in the seat next to me «because she wasn’t my server.» I am so sorry, but I have always thought parties of a certain number, assigned more than one server, that all servers took care of all guests in the party when asking for a refill. Maybe that’s not the norm, but rather a rude «you’re not mine!»
Let’s see. A cut lip from glass the bartender put in a beer bottle. (Yes, we actually had the glass, a very evident chip in the bottle, and blood coming from a lip.)
A different waitress (apparently our waitress this time) snatching the bill out of my hand as I was reading it over.
The chicken sandwich was disgusting to say the least. Overcooked, dry meat on a stale bun. Extra yummy for the birthday boy!
Not one plate of food was carried out with another. Each one tasting like it had sat in the service window for at least ten minutes.
The «owners» could do nothing but say «I’m so sorry, we just opened.» No offers for another try in a couple of weeks, only empty, meaningless apologies.
Completely free food and drinks could not draw me back to the hell hole commonly referred to as «Stocky’s.»

We thought the patio area was very nice, great atmosphere and then the sewage stench from the retention pond located behind the restaurant became unbearable. Menu pricey and service was ridiculous.
