Pho Lodge

Good and clean environment. Owner seemed nice at first,(or who he wants to be nice to). Just had a group of friends that ate before us who was offered to try some of his whiskey. I asked if our table would be able to try some of his whiskey and he looked me dead in the eyes and said they dont offer any and received same response to buy a shot.
Older waiter was very funny and nice. We went in as a group of 8 who all ordered the kobe phở. We received between the eight of us 2 plates of garnishes between us which was clearly not enough and when we ask for some more they got mad.
We also had 1 order of spring rolls which never made it out to us. When we asked the owner what happened with the spring rolls he got defensive and said he was too busy. Which was quiet amazing being that only 2 other familys were in there and they had their order in before us.
The PHO defeinitly was not worth it. It was very bland. Not much of a variety of meat, had like 3 slice of meat ball 2 shirmp and 4 – 5 beef ribs. ALOT and im mean ALOT of claim that this is the best phở… i make better phở from home than this. Was not impressed by the owner or his phở but nice over all location and atmosphere. Would not recommend unless you wanna eat bland phở with very little garnishes.

Tried this place a few weeks ago. Loved it. The broth itself was flavorful and great for a winter day, and it had a decent amount of meat.
Really liked the way it was decorated — chatted with the owner some. Will definitely make this my go to phở.

Straight out, one of the best Phở that I’ve ever had in my life and I eat a lot. I mean a lot of Phở. I was in town for vacation and stopped by for a bowl of Phở before my road trip back home. I ordered the Kobe bowl which was the biggest bowl that Phở Lodge had. It came with 8+ huge beef ribs, tons of meat and noodle. I killed it and I don’t even like beef bones! The beef ribs were tendered and cooked to perfection. I’ve never had a good experience with beef ribs so I was never into it until I had it here.
The broth was on point and very Phở-​vorful (flavorful). It was a huge bowl and I ate about 95% along with half of the broth. Just thinking about it makes me hungry.
The owner is a great guy and really passionate about his Phở. Two thumbs up!

I’ve heard good reviews about this place from locals so I thought I’d check it out. Great atmosphere when you walk in. There were lots of animal mounts, all to which I admired. I am a hunter myself! The menu was limited, just like what the chef explained. I, too, agreed that the food option was limited. However, I couldn’t complain about the phở broth! I didn’t have to put much condiments in my bowl.
So I ordered the phở #2 bowl and it filled me right up. I enjoyed the two chunks of meat that came right off the bone. I also ordered the $ 8 papaya, just to my liking! (I don’t like my papaya drenched in dark liquid). Awesome owner, clean place, and yummy food. I would for sure recommend this place for those that just want to enjoy a good bowl of phở in a nice and cozy place, while listening to Hmong music in the background. If I lived closer, I would be a frequent customer!

First off, if you are looking for a good bowl of phở, to put it bluntly, this place has really really good phở. The menu is very small and limited but hey you are here for one thing only… the phở. The broth is very flavourful and not too salty. I dined on the phở #2 which I believe is a large, they have four choices. Very meaty and delicious. The service was prompt and very friendly. The price is a little steep but the phở was pretty darn tasty. I’d give it another try.

I went here for phở because of all the reviews. Oh my it was an unpleasant experience. No customers. That should have been the first clue to me. There isn’t much on the menu so when I tried to order several things nothing was available but the $ 16 bowl of phở! I’m glad I shared with my friend because the phở was extremely salty and there wasn’t much in there for $$$&. Next time go to plias kitchen instead.

The phở was great, a tad salty but flavorful and pretty close to the authentic flavor and taste. Nice food presentation and quite meaty. However, the price was appalling! Never had I paid so much for phở… Wow. If the location and atmosphere and of course the portion would warrant it I would have not mind the high price– is a strip mall restaurant c’mon! Bring down the price and this place would be awesome.

Went there May 30 Saturday around 8pm to get some take out. Was given a take out menu which is pretty limited, decided to go with the Phở – «sorry, we don’t have containers to do take out Phở». Then why’s it on the take out menu me thinks. Ok, I’ll have the ginger intestine dish. «Sorry we don’t have that, maybe next week». OK, I’ll take the craw dads, «sorry we don’t have those». I ask OK, of the 2 other main dishes what do you have – «oh everything». OK, I’ll take the sweet pork – «sorry, we’re out of that». Not a good experience at all, the prices did seem on the high end but I’m OK with that as long as the food is good. Unfortunately I never got to try it. Really bad experience, why would I bother going back?
So I went back. They had containers to go and I got a very nice to go order of Phở. The owner was there and served our order. There were interesting things to add to the Phở and he also gave us a sampling of whiskey he brews. Restaurant redeemed :)

The phở is really good. Broth has the right amount of fat, saltiness and flavorful. Not much meat or meatballs in bowls. Smaller portions than other phở shops. Price is pretty steep though for a regular size phở $ 11 and large $ 14-​$ 16.
The papaya taste good, small portion and at $ 8 is pretty expensive.
I also had the rice dish and they definitely not worth it. Stick with the phở on a special night.
