Lifeway Christian Stores

I found the workers at this bookstore to be very friendly and helpful. I wasn’t able to find a book on my own but an employee saw me struggling and offered to help me. They recognized the book I was looking for and knew exactly where it was in the store. I’ve been to Lifeway stores in different cities and it is always a pleasant experience.

I had turned in a complaint earlier this year against this Lifeway store with Lifeway Corporate and had it out with the manager. Result was me walking away stating that I would never return to that store. I decided a few weeks ago that I would try to give them a second chance. The initial disagreement was over inscribing my name onto a Bible that I bought from them and had the receipt to prove it from that particular Lifeway Store in Greensboro, NC and they denied selling me that Bible and refused to inscribe my name onto it even though I was willing to pay for it. So to speed up the clock to now, I came in a few weeks ago with no problems in purchasing a couple of DVD’s. Last week I purchased a commentary with no problem. Last night I came in to purchase a KJV Study Bible, my husband liked mine so much that I hardly ever used that he decided to claim it. So I decided to get maybe one more up to date. I spotted one on the clearance rack and the red sticker on it said 50% off of sticker price on the back. It did not say anywhere on the rack or on the sticker that the Bibles or merchandise had already been discounted. So when I brought it up to the front counter and got ready to pay for it, the young man rung it up as full price for a KJV Study Bible that they had miss inscribed somebody else’s name on carelessly and still wanted $ 50 for it. For that price I could have gotten a new Bible not on clearance with no mistakes. The young man at the counter tried to say the price included the clearance discount. I told him to forget the sale and cancel it and walked out. Probably a good thing cause I went to their competitor Family Christian Bookstore in Winston-​Salem and got me a brand new Reformation Heritage KJV Study Bible for a good price, $ 5 more than what they wanted at this Lifeway for a clearance Bible. Just the same we learned a man who works at Family Christian Bookstore is in need of prayer for a tumor removal in his thymus. So, point made thank you Lifeway for loosing this sale as well but perhaps it was meant to be. Only there will be no more next times in me going into anymore Lifeway Stores I am done with you and I will not recommend you to anybody. As for your clearance merchandise Lifeway, I am sure you can get a good tax write off at the end of the year for whatever you don’t sell at dishonest prices.
