Nice place. Comfortable, clean and cozy. The breakfast was vegetarian and with a lot of choices. Wifi signal was not very strong in the room, but I’m glad there was Wifi at all. The Inn is located just outside Groveland, 45 minutes from Yosemite Valley.

We were given a groupon from a friend. Last minute, we decided to make a trip to Yosemite. About an he drive from Berkshire Inn. Close to a cute town for food and beverages. This room was very comfy. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. This was my first stay in a Bed and Breakfast. Different experience than a hotel. Everyone should try it once. We had room 3. Private bathroom and door leading to the balcony. Out of respect for this facility, it’s hard to feel«at home» like a huge hotel. Comfy family feeling, hard to adjust when you have lived alone for 6 years. With this being my first Bed and Breakfast, I don’t have much to compare. Overall a great experience! Friendly and gleaming hospitality. Beautiful sunset view :)

Great spot and very nice people that run it. The room was cozy and clean. It was great to come back to after a day out in nature, and nice to have breakfast out on the balcony. Took about 30 minutes to get to Yosemite, and it’s located just a couple miles from Groveland, where there are a variety of restaurant choices(they mostly all close around 9). The breakfasts were fine, mostly different types of breads, and the walls were a little thin, but overall a good place to stay. We would come back again!

Nice homey spot on the way to Yosemite National Park. Breakfast was large and had lots of choices. Room is very clean and spacious, bed super comfy. Only lost one star due to the jacuzzi jets being down.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights in December, thanks to an awesome Groupon deal. We found the place charming, clean, quiet, and pretty much perfect in every way. The only(slight) downside is that it is about 20 minutes away from the park, but it was barely an issue! The drive up through the pass and down into the valley makes it worth it every time. And both nights, we came home from hiking and exploring to a toasty room which was amazing. We stayed in room 4 which was located on the first floor and around the back of the house. It was very private. We also woke up each morning to a complimentary continental breakfast and when they ran out of Eggos, they even offered to make us eggs or real which was very kind! I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. If you’re looking for a nice quiet B&B outside of Yosemite, seriously just stop looking and just stay here. I know we’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I planned a quick getaway to hike Yosemite and I found the Berkshire Inn on Groupon. We absolutely loved this place and its accommodations. Even though outside of Yosemite about 20 minutes, it was accessible and the drive beautiful. The room was fabulous. We stayed in room #5 that had a private bath and french doors that opened out onto the balcony. It was located around the back of the house, so it was more private than the other rooms. Continental breakfast was just right to start our day before heading into the park. We would definitely stay here again. Groveland the little town located two miles from Berkshire has some cute eateries including the IRON saloon for breakfast and their little grocery store makes delicious fresh sandwiches to pack away for hiking treks.

Wow! What an amazing place. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub while enjoying a bottle of wine. The town of Groveland is just minutes away if one wants some mountain night-life. Our fuel pump went out in our vehicle and Chris the owner and his friend Collin helped us repair it! Thanks again for your great hospitality and your help on getting us back on the road. Look forward to coming back to stay again and hopefully it is soon!

Our stay at The Berkshire Inn was relaxing and enjoyable. They employ a beautiful friendly dog named Buster, he greets you in the parking lot with a tennis ball in his mouth and then checks in on you daily. There is a complimentary continental breakfast every morning with waffles, cereal, bagels, coffee, juice fresh melons etc. The couple who runs the inn is informative, friendly and lovely. We will be back.

Awesome place — great owners — beautiful room — scrumptious breakfast!!! Our car broke down and Chris waited up past mid-night to let us in :) They also helped us with rentals the next day and even drove us up to the rental place 45 mins away!!! Beautiful views of the hills from the balcony with deer trotting on the paths… Bike dirt track are across the hotel if you want to race your bikes … Excellent wifi — In winters — the 2 night stay is free :) Thanks folks and we’ll stay here again … Cheers, Añu

We came to the Berkshire Inn based on reviews from other people on Google and Unilocal, and when we arrived, we were excited that it was close to Yosemite and had a feel that they were going to take care of us really well. The people were great in introducing us to the place and taking us to our room, but then it went all downhill from there. We went at the end of July, so it was hot. There was no A/C in our room. The bed seemed like it was old and slumped to the middle, but they tried to fix it with a 4 inch memory foam topper that made the problem worse. If you weren’t in the middle of the bed(and only one of us could be!), then you were sleeping on a slant that kills your back the next morning, not to mention the loss of sleep. Shower went hot/cold for the duration of both of our showers. This could’ve just been our room, but our experience remains the same. The location was great, the service was great, but the quality and facilities experience was poor.

We stayed one night. Made a reservation with 3 days notice in July which must be the peak season, and got a queen-size bed with bath, plus a mattress for a 3rd adult, for about $ 150 I think. Very helpful in putting the extra mattress in. Very clean throughout. Well-stocked continental breakfast at 8am, but they offered more than once to serve earlier if we needed it. Free, powerful Wi-Fi(ask for the code), no TVs in room but they have two«living» rooms, one with TV and one without, and ample magazines, books, etc. The only downside is it’s not in town, you’ll have to drive to get dinner. But that also means it’s quieter. All-in-all I recommend this nice B-and-B.

I LOVED my stay at the Berkshire Inn. The grounds were so beautiful with stunning views and the breakfast had a nice selection. No complaints whatsoever. If I ever return to Yosemite, I will definitely stay here again.

My husband and i checked in on a Friday night and were greeted with a friendly smile and a glass of wine. Kevin, the Inn Keeper went out of his way to make my husband and i feel at home. When our car broke down in the parking lot, he drove us to the meeting we HAD to attend at 6am the following morning. When we returned, he helped us look for towing companies for hours. The rooms are clean and cozy, the views are beautiful and the continental breakfast provided variety and was delicious. Great value for $ 135/night! If you ever need to go to Yosemite and would like to stay in a Bed and Breakfast, this is the place to come! We will definitely come again!

If you’re like us and decide to go to Yosemite at the last minute and can’t find a room anywhere, give these guys a call! They don’t have on-line reservations so you have to call them, but it was worth it. We found a room two weeks before Memorial Day Weekend, 40 minute drive away from the park entrance(this is actually close!), UNDER $ 150 a night! The bed and breakfast is family run, with about 5 or so rooms, each room with a private bath. The bed was large and comfy, the bathroom neat and clean, every day we had clean towels and the bed made up. Each room had two doors one for a private entrance outside and another into the house, both doors with a deadbolt lock. There is a continental breakfast at 8:00 am with cereal, toaster waffles, fruit, bagels, coffee, and tea. I have paid more for discount motels before and didn’t have something this nice. Very nice and friendly environment and would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay close to Yosemite.
