El Taco

Normally I don’t eat at the same restaurant twice in a week, but I broke my «general» guideline this week.
El Taco has got to be the one of the most underrated Mexican food restaurants that I know of.
Is it the most flavorful, taste bud explosion of Mexican food that I’ve even eaten? No.
But when I can get a fairly happy plate (see pic) of really decent Migas (with Papas –fried potatoes– and beans) for $ 3.99 and I don’t have to tip… I tend to make myself a regular. BTW, any taco is $ 1.25 each (also see pic).
The best way I can put this restaurant’s food into words is to say that I would expect the same quality and taste of my food if I was invited as a guest to their home. Yes, it tastes like home style food.
The (somewhat) bad…
(People who only speak English) Patience and clarity is slightly needed when ordering. The very nice woman that usually takes the orders has decent English, but just be aware that she might not get the special requests quite right due to translation.
Otherwise, I can’t recommend this restaurant enough and I hope you give them a try.
