Atmosphere was nice, sushi appetizer very good, hibachi food tasted great. We have the swordfish and the steak. Chef Good entertainment. Against my better judgement I ordered a glass of wine and it tasted like vinegar. I should have sent it back but didn’t. Jessica got two meals worth out of her portion.

We got a few rolls from here for carryout this weekend. As always, delicious. They have some of my favorite specialty rolls, and always taste fresh and delicious. A little on the high end for pricing, but never disappoints so I am happy to pay it! Very friendly staff. Love this place.

Sushi was delicious and hibachi experience was great. Very clean dining area. Would go again. Large portions as well.

My favorite place for sashimi. The quality and freshness of the fish is consistent. I don’t eat many rolls so I can’t comment on them. Nice ambiance, a new outdoor deck over a huge koi pond. I come about two times a month and the staff know me by name. That’s a nice touch.

I love mikados. The filet melts in your mouth! They give you so much food I can never finish it all. The wait staff can be so-so, but the two male hosts are amazing!

The freshest seafood in Central PA. Wonderful food and friendly service. The Toro(fatty tuna was superb)! When I asked the owner if they could make me something that wad not on the menu, they immediately prepared it for me. If you like fish eggs(roe), they will offer you four types. I had never even heard of wasabi roe(green fish eggs); very delicious.

About 4 years ago my husband and I ate here and there was a Cockroach crawling on the hibachi table. My husband killed it with a salt shaker. When we told the waitress… nothing was done. Absolutely disgusting and unaccebtable. We have not been back since.

My family and I love Mikado for sushi. I can’t count the number of times I’ve eaten here and each experience was fabulous. I don’t think there’s better sushi in Harrisburg. Never a «fishy» experience.

My mom likes to dine here whenever she’s around the area and seems to like it. I’ve only been here twice, as I live in Philadelphia, and decided to go a second time to celebrate my sister’s birthday last night. There were 5 of us, 3 people wanted to do hibachi and myself and another decided to order sushi. I ordered the rainbow roll and their special tiger roll. What a sorry excuse for a rainbow roll, hardly any meat on top and the flavor was greatly lacking. Our chef was off during his entire«performance». Dropping food, utensils fling out of his hand(a fork missed my face by 2 inches) and missing ingredients. My mom ordered the steak and scallops and the chef didn’t realize he forgot the scallops until the rest of the food was already prepared for our group. Quickly, he ran back to the kitchen and returned to finish cooking the meal and served it up. My mom offered me a scallop and the minute I put it my mouth, I spit it right back into my napkin. It was RANCID. We asked one of the servers to get the manager for us and she agreed. A minute later she asked for our card, still not having heard from the manager. Peeved, I proceed to find the manager myself and asked him to come speak with my mother. She explained that the food was inedible and he simple nodded his head and walked away and hid somewhere in the back of the restaurant. NOONE offered to remove this item from our check, after we had just spend $ 150(and for what?) nor did they try to compensate us in an alternative way. WEWILLNEVERRETURNTOTHISESTABLISHMENT! I recommend no one else dines here either unless the idea of shelling out some dough and being poisoned is to your liking. If a restaurant can’t even keep up with the quality of their food I can only image what else is wrong here. I don’t dare want to see the kitchen. DONOT come here!

$ 2 beers at happy hour is a good deal, but I can’t imagine paying more than the happy hour price of $ 1 for that sushi. I had a feeling that this was the kind of place where I should stick to cooked dishes, but I went against my instincts and ordered some raw sushi, and was not pleased with my decision. It wasn’t scary but it wasn’t good. I also got the the chicken box. The teriyaki was very salty. The fried rice and veggies were fried but had no flavor. The good: A ton of food for the money, good bar, good service. The bad: The food

My wife and I have been here at least 5 times and it’s always been positive,(We always do the Hibachi.) Sometimes it’s just her and I,(sitting with others,) sometimes we come with a big group so we can lock a whole table down. I really love the whole experience and the food is delicious. It is very comparable to Benihana’s but I feel that you get more food for your buck here than you do at Benihana’s and the food(especially the fried rice) is just as good if not better. The Hibachi chefs are always entertaining, and the staff is friendly.

The food was ok, and my portion was large enough for the price I paid. Add the fried rice and vegetables and it made for a full meal. The people working the grill did not seem that happy with their work. The parking is terrible! Very tight and add some snow piles to the mix and it becomes really bad Overall, it wasn’t too bad. I’m not sure if they are related in anyway, but I found the Mikado in Mechanicsburg to be much better. The staff is more«on the ball» and the location is much easier to get to.

With all the competition for sushi in this area(there are 10+ places), some of these restaurants need to do more to stand out. We went here for just sushi a few months ago and we were seated at the private table instead of the hibachi table. The food was average — I was not impressed. I immediately compared their sushi to Sapporo East which has never let let me down. I may go back and try the hibachi someday since the restaurant is very close to home. And they do have a bar though, which many places don’t have.

food was good but a little expensive for the amount you get. I was still hungry after having my salad, soup, hibachi shrimp and some ca. rolls. Not enough fried rice either. The ca. rolls were ok, did not look very nice compared to other places… falling apart etc but tasted good. Soup was tasty, basically all broth. If the prices were cheaper I would go back but at almost $ 20 for a dinner that leaves me still hungry, I will pass. edit 11÷22− want to update my review to 4 stars. Ate at the restaurant this time and you get a little more food compared to take out. Quality was good, hibachi chef did a nice entertaining job and even though the prices are around $ 20 per person, its a lot cheaper than Benihana’s so I bump my review from 3 to 4 stars.

Not bad. The people cookin on the hibachis didn’t look very happy. Sushi was okay. Worth going to get your fix on some sushi, but its nothing to get real excited over. Don’t Philly rolls normally come with salmon? Mine had imitation crab stick. Ehhhhh…

Dropped in for lunch and was pleased, the place is big and decorated beautifully. Service was fine for us, although there wasn’t hardly anyone else there for some reason. We tried the lunch special, which comes with 3 different rolls that you can pick from a list of about a dozen or so. Yum Yum was good, spicy crab was my favorite, california was pretty good as well. The place has a fully bar with a few beers on draft as well with lunch and happy hour specials.

went back and tried lunch special, chicken, fried rice, soup & salad for 6.95, also had the 3 sushi rolls for 10.95(limited selections) 4 stars. in response to one of the other reviews, the menus I picked up from there had the current number on it. And that’s right when it opened. I can kind of agree with the slowness of it, our lunch took a little while, but the hibachi chef was friendly, and polite.
