Econo Lodge

On our arrival we were shocked to see that nothing looked as it appeared online. They must have picked the best day or room to take pictures to post online. We would have cancelled but were stuck because of the policy of
which guarantees that you will get the best room available. I have stayed at better dumps in Mexico. This doesn’t even compare. and should not even be called a Hotel at all !!! This room was not even cleaned. Had torn wallpaper, water damage to the walls, spider webs and there was dust on the floor where there was drywall repair done. We booked a non-​smoking room and the walls were yellow brick that should have been white and the room smelled of smoke. We are sleeping with towels on the pillows and our clothes on. but wish we had a hazmat suit. The TV was an out dated flat screen that was barely watchable. The owner should be ashamed of themselves and should NOT be in the Hotel business. $ 80 was way to much, I would not even pay $ 25 for this room and would rather sleep in my car.

Disgusting. Manager is a filthy cheap theif. Room a/​c did not work. Flies in room flew around keeping me up all night. I found 2 different types of hairballs in my bed. Worst room I ever had in my life. Dirt bag place. Run run run!

This hotel was very cheap in a reasonable location. I would usually say you get what you pay for but there were some things that even the cheapest hotels should have. We had both towel racks come off of the wall when we simply took towels off. The refrigerator failed to turn on and the light fixture in the bathroom was falling off the wall. The wifi was very shaky. I had to login multiple times. The bed was comfortable so that was good but the other issues really minimized the quality of the stay.

After a day snow tubing, the heater did not work and there was frost inside our windows! Happy Valentine’s Day! Haha

Absolutely horrendous. I booked this room in anticipation of relaxing after my sons graduation from JMU. I was welcomed by friendly, helpful front desk people. After opening the door to our room, we were met by a musty smell. The bathroom had a terrifying mat stuck on the bottom of the tub, which was moldy.
All of the pillows had dried yellow slobber on them. And, I mean ALL of them. I called the front desk and was given the opportunity to look at 3 other rooms, which were ALL horrible. I was told by Amber, the front desk girl, that they couldn’t assure that the pillows would be clean.
I felt as if I had been robbed, as it was graduation weekend and this dump cost me $ 162.00. Please save yourself the headache and money… look elsewhere.

I was pleasantly surprised by this Econo Lodge. The king, non-​smoking room was clean and well appointed. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make me comfortable. In the negative column, the room’s heater worked only marginally well and the tv was near death. All in all, not too bad.
