Was quite good. Is now closed. Kind of seemed like it was having trouble at the end of last season. Back to the Weatherdeck for our golden fried seafood.

0 stars for service! The woman behind the counter greeted us kindly and rattled off the lunch specials. We ordered our meals and she rings up our order. The manager comes out to inform us that lunch specials are not available on weekends – he then charges us $ 10 more for the same order. NOT the way to do business. His employee was on her second day of the job and made a totally honest mistake… she apologized profusely. In my experience, any respectful and professional business owner would have honored the price she gave us rather than make the customer pay for the mistake. Food was decent, so they get two stars for that.

My Mom and I decided to come here for dinner since we both wanted lobster for our last night on the Cape. Mom got the Lazy Man Lobster Casserole and I ordered the Jumbo Lobster Roll. GENEROUS amount of lobster for both entrees — it was delicious, I’m still thinking about it. Like most joints on the Cape it’s a little pricey for food you order at a counter, but considering the portion size, I’m not really complaining. I’d go back for sure.

The baked scallops here are in my opinion the best of any of these types of restaurants. They’re perfectly cooked and not overly breaded. The downside is that they don’t have baked beans(an obsession of mine) and the cole slaw has celery seed in it(I hate all things celery). The seafood is top notch however and is not to be missed.

This touristy place received mixed reviews from our family on two occasions. Some raved, some not so much. Good place for families with kids, great for fried seafood. I wasn’t impressed with the lobster roll(vinegary) or the steamers(tasted«off» with no flavor). And I generally LOVE both items — and had no other similar bad experiences in our week of travel. But the onion rings were good(«world famous») and my wife said she liked the steamers. The twin lobsters were grossly overcooked on one visit and OK the next. Mgmt does pay attn to Unilocal reviews, as on visit #2, the manager called me by name and quoted from the initial review. They DID fix the two issues I discussed in an earlier review, so they get kudos for that! #FastFoodLobster

I’ve never had a lobster roll before. I thought it was like a Twinkie but filled with lobster. Um, I was wrong. Like, really wrong. According to Lobster Hut, a lobster roll is a large hoagie filled with a giant lobster, or at least pieces of a giant lobster, or maybe just giant lobster pieces. Regardless, had I encountered my lobster roll in the wild we both know who would’ve won that battle. Lucky for me, Lobster Hut fought and won that battle for me. Also, lobster rolls keep well. Since, unless you’re Takeru Kobayashi, you probably won’t be finishing yours in one sitting, it’s good to know that you’ll have a meal over the next few days. I would also like to give a shout out to the effing amazing chowder. Though I was impressed by the lobster roll, it was the chowder that made me elicit uncontrollable sounds of pleasure. «I’ll have what she’s having.» Yes, indeed.

Great HARDSHELL lobster twins for 24.99 comes with corn and potato. I wont order anything else there but the lobsters were very good, you cant mess them up too bad. My brother had the lazy mans lobster and that was too fussy. One thing is that food takes forever to get. And thats on a slow night.

Hard to recommend this quintessential cape lobster shack. The did not have 1 ½ pound lobsters on a Monday afternoon. The offered two 1 pound lobsters that were over cooked without flavor. The fake butter, used more often in popcorn, was offensive. Lobster demands real butter. The lobster roll was a good size but it lacked flavor. The portions were very good so… if it is quantity you want then you could consider the Lobster Hut. The service was very good.

This is my second year coming back for the lobster roll, which says something really good. The jumbo roll is so stuffed that 2 of us shared it, ladies of course. The guys each happily ate their own. The chunks of lobster are huge and it’s lightly dressed so the flavor comes through. Also tried the chowdah this year which was a solid A. It’s casual dining– order at the counter, sit at a table, they bring th food out. If you’re looking for a casual, not fancy, quick bite on the Cape– this is a good spot.

Visited during the late off-season(May). This is an informal counter order/pick-up type place that is prevalent on the Cape. Seating area is large with indoor and outdoor options. Had a lobster roll which had large, solid chuncks of meat but litlle flavor, for some reason. Buttered toasted roll as a true NE lobster roll should have. We also had broiled scallops which were very good and a large portion — enough for leftovers. — — — — — — – Tips for The Cape: The Cape businesses are sometimes only open during the peak tourist season. This is not bad, but it is often difficult to know which places are open year round and which are not. Checking websites and advertisements often do not include this critical info. Driving on The Cape is ‘interesting’. The roads are not made for modern transportation and the number of cars trying to drive — especially during the summer tourist season. You may not be able to execute a safe left turn onto some of the ‘major’ roads without waiting your entire natural lifetime to do so — especially during the summer. The drivers are really bad. And not just the tourists. The local ‘Massholes’ often are just as bad. It appears that left turns into heavy traffic are considered ‘right of way’ here.

In addition to beer/wine on the patio, next door is an outdoor in-ground trampoline farm(if you will) so you can watch the little ones bounce bust their skulls while enjoying lobster(j/k — hopefully, but you can tire them out). tasty seafood.

Where should I start: when served they give you sooo much food, cannot complain. This place is a spin-off from The Lobster Boat, and still provide the same great service. If you ever are near the Cape, go and eat there. I’ll be back next year that’s for sure; till then i’ll be in DC.

First off, don’t go here if you have a party of more than four unless you don’t mind sitting at separate tables. On to the food… Three of us got the twin lobster special and one order of steamers. The steamers were warm and the lobsters were cold. The butter came in tiny little cups and were also cold. The steamers were rubbery and did not taste fresh. One of my lobsters came cracked and the other one I had to open myself(no big deal but odd). The lobster was OK for being cold. The highlight of the meal was the kids linguini. The service was OK. You order at the counter and pick up your food when they call your number. However they told us «if we aren’t too busy, we’ll bring it over». When they called our number and we picked up the food, there were four employees just standing behind the counter doing nothing. So we will not be going back. We figured a place called the Lobster Hut would be the lobstah place to go.

I’ve had their oyster plate twice and it’s a mountain of food. While I did get sand/shell each time I’d recommend them over Kream and kone any day, with their must be weird tasting fry oil.
