Best Chinese food in Hastings. That might not sound like much of an endorsement but I like it. HOWEVER, NEVER get the lunch buffet. I have dinner delivered, usually. My favorites are the lo mein, Mongolian beef, pork with vegetables and steamed dumplings. I get enough lo mein to heat some up for lunch the next day. It heats up very well. The chicken nugget dishes are pretty boring — sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, etc. I prefer the dishes that are less processed. I also definitely prefer not to eat in. It is a small hole-in-the-wall atmosphere.

I hate giving poor reviews, especially to small family owned restaurants, and only hope that it serves to improve them. First and last time here, I made the unfortunate choice of having the lunch buffet. In a nutshell, the food was bland and tepid, only warmer than room temperature and virtually devoid of flavor. Perhaps they are trying to appeal to the Minnesota penchant for tasteless food, but it was not at all interesting in taste or texture. Even little packets of hot sauce or mustard could not help. I was excited to see the shrimp and vegetable stir fry, but the shrimp, while plentiful, had zero taste. My strong suggestion to the hard-working owners is to dig deep into their roots and find seasonings that excite the palate, not boor it. Garlic works wonders with shrimp and is so simple to add to the wok. I got a lot of food for my money, but next visit to Hastings I’ll head to Leeann Chin for some flavor. Sorry.

Okay chinese food with okay service. Terrible lunch buffet don’t get it. I like two dishes and they got me coming back for kung pao shrimp and teriyaki chicken on a stick app– try the app those sticks are delicious.

Bland. Boring. I ordered off menu too. Not the buffet and definitely not impressed or returning.
