Me and my mom had an early lunch here on a Saturday. We both got rice bowls. Damn good! Veggies were cooked to perfection and the meat was delicious. Staff was polite and the place is hella clean. HELLA. Music was cool too. I don’t care for the area, but I’ll come back for some waba.

This was supposed to be my first experience at this restaurant they made me wait well over 10 minutes for the cash register to work and then I was told that since the machine didn’t work and I didn’t have cash I couldn’t order worst Maneger ever didn’t even offer a promo or nothing for my wait so Ima be calling the corporate soon

Waba as a chain is going to be hit with a lawsuit real soon. I’ve been to a half dozen of their new restaurants in the south bay and none of them make the food fresh to order order like they claim in all their advertisements. Half the time my chicken was still cold since they only throw it on the grill for about 30 seconds to warm it up after they cooked it hours earlier.
If you’re going to sell precooked fast-food, no problem. Just dont market yourselves as fresh to order, it’s not true at all when my order’s ready less than a minute after i place it.

My 4-star rating may be misleading for some of you. Waba Grill is a chain, serving very generic teriyaki bowls, so don’t expect to be overwhelmed. However, in comparison to the opposition (Flame Broiler), Waba is leaps and bounds ahead of them.
On second thought, they are about a 3.5 stars.

This location is where my favorite Indian restaurant used to be, so it is a nice sized space but there is never anyone in there when I go. The service in friendly enough and the food is prepared quickly.
This is the only Waba in the area and before this one opened I had never been to one. I told myself I would never come to this one because they opened up right next door to Aloha Teriyaki, which I really enjoy. I just thought it was rather shady to open a Waba Grill next to Aloha considering they are selling the same type of food! Just Catty. I hate to compare, but I do enjoy Aloha better than Waba, but as long as Waba keeps sending out these coupons throughout Hawthorne and Lawndale, I will continue to patronize them.

Love this place. Number one is the best. Lists of meat cooked fresh and taste is amazing. Blows other places away. Kind of pricey but hey healthy food isn’t cheap.

I love Waba and its food but this location is just straight out lazy! I always take my order to go and they have stop putting green onions on customers plates, instead they make you do it yourself. Any other Waba I’ve been does this for you. I get a 30 minute lunch so to wait in line after my order to put something that should come standard on my plate it’s a huge inconvenience especially when every other Waba does not have this issue. I asked them why they did this and their response was «well, the one in Carson does it so we decide to do it as well». Wow great answer, that explains everything. I love the food Waba provides however I dislike the inconsistency of some wabas. The best one to me is near my home Fullerton, hands down, they have the best service of any fast food and/or restaurant I’ve ever seen, unfortunately I cannot say the same about this location.

I love this concept. I’ve been exploring healthy food options and Waba Grill is really on top of my list. The fish & shrimp options are great, which is not common in fast food places. This location is brand new so everything looks clean and fresh look. Keep it up!

This was my second visit to this place. The first time the chicken plate was decent. Today, however, I ordered the chicken plate with white meat and it was extremely dry! Only because I was hungry did I finish it. I would have returned it but I have a rule of not telling a cook to remake my food.
The sign on the door says Cook Needed so hopefully it gets better if they hire a better cook.

Awesome food! Great prices and location! A really nicely decorated restaurant. Food is fresh and healthy! Quite possibly the best teriyaki I’ve ever had. Interesting location though, next to another teriyaki place!
