Ok, so let me start by saying that the my horrid experience at this establishment is partially my fault. Had I been more proactive, I could have taken care of all of my printing & copying needs at work, which could have eliminated all possible drama. Unfortunately, I had to stop by this location earlier this week, and I was in a hurry. Not Good. Stepping into this copy and print center was like taking a ride in a time machine back to the late 1980’s. First of all, the costs for printing were absolutely absurd. It was a one time fee of $ 5.00 to use the computer, and black/white copies were $ 1.00, and color copies were $ 1.50. The only person that was working at the shop at the time was in his late 50’s, and his consistent delayed reactions to questions that I asked him made me confident that he kept a copy of «Windows For Dummies» in the top drawer of his desk. The computer was an old Pentium III processor, with a monitor that took up most the desk. Besides the painfully slow response time I received when I opened the files that I needed, the gentleman who was running the shop had to adjust the printing specifications to ‘manual feed’ after every print job that I submitted. Somehow, what should have been a ten minute visit, to print 15 color copies and 10 black and white copies, turned into 60 minutes of hell, in which the guy produced 30 color copies, and 20 black and white copies. When I confronted him as to why he printed extra copies that I did not need, he blamed the problem on the computer, and decided to give me a «deal» by only paying .50/copy for the copies that I did not need. Mad Shady! If I ever go to this shop again, it will be to stage a protest against inferior and out-dated copy centers. Why Fed-Ex Kinko’s and Copy mat haven’t put these small inefficient copy & print centers out of business yet, remains a mystery to me. To the city of San Leandro, you are dire need of an upgrade.
