I hired Wallace Doolittle because my daughter’s father filed a motion for custody and visitation in response to me opening up a case with the Dept. of Child Support Services.
I should’ve thought twice before hiring him. Thought I was getting a good deal in only having to pay $ 1500 for his retainer. I figured my case wasn’t complicated at all. My daughter had already been with me full time for 2 years. I filed with DCSS in July… my ex filed his motion in August. I had plenty of texts and emails offering my ex more time that he would regularly decline. I’m a stay at home mother with all the time in the world to spend with her. The list goes on of points to back up the many reasons I should have primary custody.
He never argued anything for me. My ex gained 50% custody of our daughter. While on his time she’s primarily cared for by her father’s ailing 90+ year old grandmother that can’t get around without a walker or his drug addicted brother that has an extensive criminal background. Everything my ex requested he got! Wallace just rolled over for him and his attorney. And to top it all off, he never even resolved the child support issue! I’m still dealing with that on my own.
If Wallace were as diligent in fighting for me as he was in collecting my balance due then I may have been some what satisfied with his service.
I read the review from another Unilocaler saying he works well with complicated situations. Ha! That’s a joke. Don’t waste your money on this guy. Shop around and go with someone else.
And another side note. His associate attorney sat in on a meeting with us because Wallace wasn’t going to be able to appear at one of the hearings. Talk about unprofessional! It was like sitting with two little bickering kids. They had the worst attitude towards each other. I had never wanted a meeting to end more than that one. It was so awkward because of how thick the tension was between the two.

I am another Family Law lawyer and Mr. Doolittle and I had a case a few years back together. He is a straight shooter and a strong advocate but because he knows the law, we were able to settle our case without a trial which would have been super expensive.

I called spoke over the phone explained my situation and let him know that I need to meet him in person me and my fiancé but since my fiancé schedule is very tight can we do a Saturday or sometimes after 4pm he said I can do Saturday and then said oh wait no not this Saturday his teenage daughter is going to wake up in the afternoon so he can’t. Which upset me if ur charging me 3500.00 dollars and you can’t take half an hour out of your time for my schedule what makes me think that he will be coming through after I pay him. Dolittle made it seem like my daughters custody was not important I did not feel that comfort from him.

Wallace is a very positive person as well as a skilled and professional attorney. He handled my difficult divorce with that unique personal touch he has — priceless! Throughout the horrible process I knew that he cared about my case and I absolutely trusted him to take care of the legal procedure so that the end result was fair. Wallace went out of his way not only to recommend a professional to serve my husband but during one meeting on a warm day he invited my Scottish Deerhound and my Greyhound to come and rest in his air-​conditioned office with me so they wouldn’t be waiting in my SUV in his underground garage. Wallace has been my Attorney for over 15 years; Recently Wallace performed a miracle! Like many of us during the recession, we had been victims of a criminal loan. In 2008 our payments started adjusting to point we could no longer afford them. Over the course of the next two years we would attempt loan modifications. Only to be misled and lied to by the multitude of lenders that had our loan. We had been in foreclosure for over a year when we were about to give up. I reached out to Wallace, Hoping he could send us in the direction of an attorney that might be able to help us. He said he had just helped another couple stay in their home, recently he starting to represent his clients in foreclosures. After I explained what had taken place for the last two years, He said he could take the case and help us stay in our home! He immediately filed a lawsuit against Bank of America and stopped the foreclosure proceedings. For two and half years he negotiated with Bank of America. In April 2013 we reached a deal that kept us in our home with a new loan! Wallace has also represented me in a family law issue that took years to resolve. I hired Mr. Doolittle in a difficult and complicated family law matter. I had interviewed several attorneys and knew he was the right choice. Mr. Doolittle and his associate, Mr. Downs, brought the highest level of professionalism and real world experience to assist me with my matter. No, he is not the cheapest. But I applaud him for cautioning me to not have him spend time on stuff that really would not make a difference. So, not only is he good, but an exceptional value.
