We enjoyed a lovely private tasting with Craig at Passalacqua. The wines were fabulous — I enjoyed and purchased several to have shipped home. The ambiance of the tasting room and outdoor seating areas is charming and cozy with great views. Dave’s knowledge of wine and the history of the area was enjoyable without being overwhelming. He was a pleasure to spend time with. I highly recommend visiting this winery.

By appointment only, change from last time, went anyway., no customers, two employees. Asked them if we can sit on their pateo have our lunch then taste after. Said we could not sit there, had to buy a bottle of wine and sit far away. They looked me up and did comment I purchased before. We left, poor experience, will never return

Wonderful experience! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The wines were absolutely great and we were definitely left wanting more and to go back very soon. The 08 Cab was amazing, but their Zins and Sauv Blancs were equally excellent! Joined the wine club and we can’t wait for the first shipment.

Because we had decided to have a day of spontaneous wine tasting, we showed up without a reservation. Luckily, there was an opening in their schedule, otherwise we would not have been able to sample the amazing wines that they make. Everyone who worked at the winery was extremely pleasant, and all of the wines that we tasted were delicious. We walked out with six bottles(the estate wine was our absolute favorite, but the 2008 cab was also a winner), and will definitely be making a reservation for a return trip.

We have been here many times as we have enjoyed their wines, especially the Zinfandels; we will never go back! As soon was we walked into the tasting room a gentleman walks in rather rudely and tells us they no longer allow children on their grounds, «we feel it should be an adult experience.» We’ve come every year and have seen kids there every time, we even had our child there last year. Too bad, we were about to join their wine club. Their loss.

Not sure what happened? Staff lost that personal touch. Kinda made everything just meh. Not returning.

Rude and awful people, avoid this place. There are far better wineries with far better wines for better values. I will never spend one dollar here.

I’ve been here a few times now mainly with Wine Club members, and it’s a very nice property. Since they only waive the tasting fee for Wine Club members or if you spend $ 150 on wine, I’m not as inclined to return unless I’m with a Wine Club member. That being said, the wines are really nice and it’s possible to reserve the outdoor tables and bring in your own gourmet picnic. Also, as I recall they really pull out all the stops for their Member events.

This place is a little pricey for its tasting($ 15), but it’s probably worth it. It looks like a great venue to sit on the balcony with a picnic and wine(theirs, naturally). I was impressed by the knoweldge of the server, although he was a touch full of himself, and I was a little bit off that the event planner who came in after us got served first(*she* was full of herself, but that’s incidental). What i liked though was that the server’s description of the wine was extremley accurate. This is a place you should consider coming on your Healdsburg winery tour.

Such a great experience! We had a private tasting in a gorgeous room. Tim was extremely knowledgable and friendly. But more importantly, all their wines were amazing! Will definitely be back!

Don’t let the little reserved sign on our table fool you. Not a snobby place that won’t take you in. The wine is Amazing!!! 2008 Cab block 4 was beyond. Was driving around enjoying the beautiful views when I decided to stop at what looked like someone’s retirement home. Once you walk to the back… WOW… view for miles. If you become a wine member which I suggest… there are private Cabanas that make you feel like your on your Honey moon. The staff is beyond friendly … had a lovely woman be my tour guide… she was great. Simply a great must visit of Sonoma.

We loved this family winery. Tony hooked us up with great wines and some local history. We did the signature tasting, but since it was a pretty quiet day, he poured us some of the wine club exclusives, which of course were«sold out» and«available for wine club members only» anyway. We lamented. He magically pulled out a bottle each of the 2012 Cyprus Ridge Zin and the Sangiovese. We rejoiced. Can’t wait to enjoy those bottles soon!

I’m a local, and when friends from out of town come to Healdsburg, I invariably take them wine tasting, giving them the local’s tour of the places worth visiting. Passalacqua Winery used to be on that list, until my last visit. I planned a picnic on their deck, with a bottle of their Sauv Blanc. For the record, their wines are very nice. We found all the large tables empty, but with a reserved sign on them. I asked the tasting room attendant who simply told us «Yes, they’re reserved», offering no explanation or help. Five of us crowded onto a perimeter table designed for two. We bought wine and picnicked there for an hour. Nobody sat at the reserved tables. I could only imagine they were reserved for wine club members. Lured by the benches and tables in the gardens below, we ventured to the path and were met with a sign reading«The gardens may be enjoyed by our wine club members». Nobody was in the garden. Although not a wine club member, my patience had been pushed too far already, so I led my group past the sign and we enjoyed the gardens for 15 minutes before leaving. Nobody else entered, and nobody was at the reserved tables when we were gone. Passalacqua family, I’m sorry to say I won’t be bringing friends to your winery anymore, and after feeling so second-class, I definitely won’t be joining your wine club to improve my status with you. It’s sad to me because it was all so unnecessary.

Spectacular wine country views and there’s a deli store just down the road and Dry Creek Winery across the street if you want to take your lunch to their lawn and enjoy.

My friend and I had a fabulous time here! We were pretty much the only people there the afternoon we visited. The man working was extremely friendly and talkative. We bought an amazing bottle of zin and picnicked for hours in their beautiful outdoor area. This place is definitely worth the stop!

Hate to say this but when you buy a 65 dollar bottle of wine, it’s your friends bday and u r a repeat customer u should REALLY waive the 15 tasting fee. Too many awesome wineries up here that do this. We won’t be back.

We had some laughs while tasting at Passalacqua Winery. Our host on the afternoon we stopped in was friendly and knowledgeable about the wine. Our tasting was really complex and included several of Passalacqua’s futures, which was a treat. The grounds are beautiful and perfect for a photo op. Definitely worth a visit.

We had a great time at this winery but the wines weren’t our favorites. They had a special event going during barrel tasting that we managed to snag tickets to. I will say that the 2013 barrel tastes were terrific. I think it seems promising for the next vintage. The 2012 was in the tasting room though and it did not seem special. They had a paella chef on the property for the event(Gerard’s) and it was fantastic! The owners of the winery(the wife is the wine maker) were on site and we were able to chat with them at length about the process which was really educational and a meaningful experience. The people were really terrific so I was disappointed that I didn’t really connect with any of their wines. I could certainly see returning another year when the 2013 is released because like I said, what we sampled from the barrel did seem very promising! Oh and shout out to their yellow lab, Abby, who I absolutely adored! She was available for kisses and lots of affection!

There is nothing more unattractive than a grown man blowing chunks and this is what greeted us upon arrival to Passalacqua Winery. At noon, only an hour into the dry creek passport weekend, good god man you really need to pace yourself better. That experience aside the rest of my experience may have not been much better. Let’s just say I found the staff completely stuck up and unprofessional, their wine was average at best, and I will not be back again. $ 15 to $ 20 per person for a tasting.

A delightful place. We came here for barrel tasting & thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide was knowledgeable & friendly and we thought the wines were good. I don’t know how often they do this, but paella was served on the veranda. What’s not to like? A fun place with great scenery & wines.
