El Pollo Loco

Ok, so on my last review, i wrote it on the wrong location. the el pollo loco that i gave it 2 stars was suppose to be the one in san jacinto. i am really sorry el pollo loco about the mix up on the location.
anyways, i am writing this because i came here yesterday with a family member and the service was great. friendly staff, and the food was good. i will be back sometime in the future.

We got a family El Pollo Loco meal last night with chicken, rice, beans, salad, and churros. My husband got home late and had already ate so he didn’t have any, and my 3 year old is picky, he only has rice and churros (THANK GOD). Well I woke up at 1am vomiting with a very sick stomach! I always say I have an «iron stomach» so for something to make me sick it has to be pretty bad. Have to call in to work today so now I’m missing work and losing money! I will be calling and speaking to a manager as soon as they open. I still have the leftovers in my fridge so I’m sure there’s some way to tell if it was bad food for proof!

I eat at El Pollo restaurants two or more times a week and I have come to expect the Hemet location to be so substandard as to never enter it again.
I live in Hemet and from this day forward I will drive to San Jacinto, Temecula or Beaumont for my food.
The Hemet location is constantly out of ingredients for meals, dirty, miss managed and just horrible
Staff training is awful and management staff is so disorganized that the confusion is laughable
I might, and I say might, try them again after the holidays… what am I saying… no need to frustrate myself any longer

Awesome place to eat inexpensive healthy char grilled chicken. Loved this franchise when I lived on the West Coast, but until recently I have not been there for a while. As high protein low carb lifestyles are starting to becoming something of the norm (especially in the West Coast) this is a great place to frequent for lunch and dinner. Please someone, open one up in Baton Rouge, La!

If I could give half a star I would. They have one job. Take a order and make the food as ordered. Went thru drive thru ordered 3 combos and 2 out of 3 were messed up. Not to mention the woman working the drive thru window had massive attitude. There’s nothing like having your whole lunch ruined once you get back to work because someone can’t do their job. Definitely won’t be back!

Went to El Polo to order dinner the cashier was talking I guess to some friends, I was waiting to ordering, she just kept talking and talking, I felt like I was being ignored so I just walked out, so where is the manager sleeping on the job,

Double check your order! This is the 4^th time we ordered salads and didn’t get dressing, nor did we get the salsa for our chicken. The food is good, service not so much.

This place is a joke. They always forget someones food, I ask for extra sauce I never got it and I found out tonight they over charged me and no one understands what I was trying to tell them. The lady told me kids meals don’t come with sides or drinks I paid an extra 3.99 for a drink and side plus the kids meal cost. Place is a joke.

The food was okay but the girls behind the counter didn’t wait on a group of us for 8 min. They were loud, yelling at each other and telling customers they wish they could go home. Rude behavior all around. The guys were not like that or involved.

So I’m torn between a 3– and 4-​star review on this one. Ultimately, I chose the 3-​star because of two factors: price, and customer service.
This place is a general «run-​of-​the-​mill» El Pollo Loco. The food quality is what you’d expect from EPL, and it’s the typical options that you’d be offered at other locations. That being said, the prices seemed a bit high. I feel like our order was about $ 2 more expensive than it’d be at other EPL locations. Don’t know why that is, but it just is.
Customer service is another area in which this location could improve. They just seem disinterested in helping you. Not particularly rude, but just disinterested. An example was one of the changes my wife requested on her order. She’s able to make the change at other EPL locations, but at this one, they wouldn’t do it. It wasn’t anything big, but it makes a big difference in taste (Sorry, don’t remember what it was, because it’s nothing that I order regularly).
We’ll keep coming back here because the food is good, and we enjoy their options, but it’s not a «must-​go».

Ok, I already REALLY like #5. See Below. It’s 860 Calories WITHOUT bowl or dressings but since I eat it over the next 12 to 18 hrs I’m cool. Last evening it was RICHARD on the speaker box that impressed me. With my «Please customize this and that, (only 2!) he repeated my request and I answered yes, he would respond with «Perfect». WHAT’S BETTER THAN PERFECT??? The order was made ready VERY quickly and Richard continued to be professionally friendly. New to the area and glad I’m close to El Pollo Loco!

The food is the best as usual. The staff here is very polite respectful and professional. I always come to eat here with confidence.

I Love El Pollo Loco. They have the best Mango Tostada Salads ever. This location is super clean. The service is excellent. Will keep on coming back for sure.

Definitely the worst El Pollo Loco I’ve ever been to by far. Customer service is crap at this location, had a HUGE bone in my quesadilla wrap that I almost choked on one time, drive thru always takes forever and food is never hot when we get it.
El Pollo Loco used to be one of my fave fast food places that I felt «okay» eating and not feeling bad about it. It’s too bad this location isn’t up to par.

I’m a huge el pollo loco fan they lost me for a while but there quality has seemed to improve lately! just expect a long wait in the drive-​thru even if you’re the only one in it!!!

Went there for the carnitas taco trio and my wife had the chicken salad. Used coupons for both. The food was delicious. The restaurant was clean. The carnitas were flavorful and fresh. Not greasy tasting. The carnitas is a promotional item but I hope they keep it on the menu.

Overall a pretty clean El Pollo Loco! There is always a line and it’s right in front of the salsa bar! Worst designed restaurant ever IMO! We eat here often and have yet to have a bad meal! All and all def a better choice for fast food in hemet!

Wow! This place is a disaster. Extremely dirty. Even the bathroom lights were broken. Totally unlike the normal El Pollo Loco Chain. The food wasn’t consistent as you would normally expect. Although the employees were friendly, that alone doesn’t make up for the overall experience one is accustomed to. Really disappointed. Parking in rear only too.

If you’ve mastered the art of eating mashed potatoes with your fingers, you’ll have no problem here at EPL! I’m not quite there yet, so opening my bag to find no spoon was pretty irritating.
Went through the drive-​thru tonight and had to repeat almost everything that was asked for… not because she couldn’t hear, but because she was attempting to multi-​task while taking my order.
In the end: no spoon, no service, an incorrect side item… but the burritos were good. Tried the Poblano burrito tonight (chicken/​avocado/​rice/​corn and more)… had a big kick to it but good. Gave my side to my friend since they gave him the wrong one so I can’t comment on how good that was.

One word, «Loco Salad», yum. I went there 2 weeks ago the staff was friendly but their was alot of people wating for their order, I guess their were like super busy, I like the fact that the cashier actually open the box of order for me to make sure what I order was all there and precise, I like that.
