I like Crepes and they were great here but what got me into the place was the awesome waitress that was just more than a waitress, a true service person and a great human being, unfortunately I don’t have her name but she was a pretty brunette. I parked in front of this restaurant to go to a morning yoga class was about to pay the meter, waitress told me I didn’t need to until 10 I said I would be at least until 10:30, she offered to feed the meter for me. So I went in after yoga had an Orangina and a savory crêpe that she recommended and it was excellent and a generous portion.

3 stars food, 2 stars for experience… Severely understaffed, even for a small place. Only 2 working, except the kitchen. Totally unacceptable for a weekend. Dishes piling up,(we’re seated at bar) not really clean. Over 10 minutes after i ordered to get a cappuccino. Not servers fault, they are trying, and really friendly. One more on the staff and we might come back… otherwise avoiding this place on weekends. Food is good, though.

Truly authentic French place, French style crepes served by French people. I was truly impressed as the crepes were light, thin and crisp on the edge… and as the restaurant is called crème de la crêpe, i decided to give that a try. It’s a but strong on the grand Marnier for my personal taste but the flambé style is what makes the dessert unique. The escargot was also authentic. To top it off, I came during happy hour so everything was very reasonably priced! I’d definitely come back!

I dont think there was any way to improve my first experience at this restaurant. The salmon benedict was out of this world and so beautifully presented with a small side salad, small slices of baguette, jam and some potato side that was delicious. With all of that food the prices were on point, and the service was a delight.

Wanted my fitness sandwich for lunch, but the restaurant already had their dinner menu out. The tilapia was a perfect backup! Love coming here! Their dishes are tasty, healthy, and big portions!

Very nice service. Delicious suzette crêpe, and salmon waffle. They take a lot of pride in their food. I will return with my peeps. I’d like to try more of their crepes. Good dessert wine, house Muscat. Nice people watching spot opens up to Pier Ave.

My friends and I have frequented Crème almost one a week for years. Fresh, clean food — morning brunch is usually the Big Waffle with spicy chicken sausage and poached eggs because I’m fancy on Sundays. I think I go here to challenge myself not to get a crêpe of Nutella and whipped crème which are probably the greatest inventions. In fact, if I invented whipped crème it would be a secret family recipe forever and nobody would ever know about it. Call me selfish. Just love whipped cream. Anyway, it’s fun to be here; cozy spot and easy to talk to regulars and make friends. The staff is a lot of fun and have all been here for a while. Angela has become one of my favorite people ever and deserves and great review. Hope you all come and spend time here!

Excellent!!! Just went today for a valentine dinner with the family. It was a prefix set for $ 50. We started with lobster brisque and salmon tartar which was fantastic. Main dish we had beef tenderloin, Mahi Mahi, and duck confit. All very very well done. And for the desert!!! Had crepes and éclair. INSANE!!! So tasty!!! I would definitely come back for brunch or just for he dessert. Highly recommended!!!

I love this restaurant and have been here many times now! They serve breakfast all day and the majority of breakfast items come with potatoes au gratin(though I believe they refer to it as a quiche). I’ve had dinner once and it was absolutely delicious. Try the French Toast Grand Mariner with their espresso drinks or French press coffee; you will not be disappointed! If you want to try the French toast or crepes and an omelette, grab a friend(because it’s ALOT of food) and let the waiter know! They’ll even divide it up for you so you don’t lose any of the quality presentation. Crème de la Crêpe has excellent customer service, excellent portions, delicious and nutritionally balanced breakfast, lunch AND dinner as well as high quality café beverages. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to eat somewhere with a bit of class without breaking their budget. This place is great for meetings, dates, friends and family!

The food was fantastic! The only problem was the two servers doing their own bussing and hosting so it hindered the service. So if your not in a hurry its a wonderful spot. I would definitely go back!

I love this place. The service is outstanding and the food is second to none. Great prices and menu is full of many delightful options. Angela makes the best latte. Veronica is seriously one of the best waitresses that has ever waited on me. Both are great! Highly recommended and will definitely be coming back here when I’m in town.

Amazing! I had a delicious brunch with exceptional service in this local small business to support. I was pleasantly surprised with the selections on the menu and had a delicious eggs Benedict with a half bottle of Verve champagne — perfect to celebrate anything really! Espresso is available, they are licensed with a decent selection. I will be back next time I want breakfast all day! I like the indoor outdoor option.

Ivebeen coming here for years and the food has never been anything but perfect. It’s always fresh, well-plated, and the prices are more than reasonable. It’s a French restaurant so they have a very typical French menu for half of it, and the other half is very beach menu-ish. The service is always great and I love that I can watch rugby here too! This place is great for dates when you don’t want to have to talk over music or dozens of people. It’s small, romantic, and very casual.

I went to the other one on redondo beach twice. The Only thing ok thing maybe the food; But nothing special. service for both place are not that friendly and make you feel not welcome. This location some reason a lot of flies that day because of an open door and outdoor seating or not sure maybe the bar section is to sticky that attracted all the insects. Always crowded. Tiny table for 2 people and cramped. I probably come back maybe for take out only, not to sit in. Just my observation, maybe good for tourists who come and go.

What an adorable little French brunch place! I came here on Friday to get brunch with my friend who highly recommend this place. It wasn’t too crowded but there is a good sized crowd. The décor of the place was really cute and there was an European café atmosphere about the place. They have an extensive menu of crapes and waffles for breakfast as well as omelettes, and they also seem to have entrées and sandwiches for lunch and dinner. I had the oh la la waffle which had Nutella, strawberry, banana, mango on top with cinnamon whipped cream on the side. It was absolutely delicious as well as aesthetically pleasing to look at. I mean when you pile chocolates and fruits like that, it’s impossible for it not to be delicious. My friend had the omelette with asparagus in it and really enjoyed that as well. Had a great experience overall and would totally come back to try other food. Parking might get difficult and most outside on the street are paid metered parking, but I parked a little farther on a cross street for free.

Came here with my girlfriend on her suggestion. If you can’t tell from the name of the place, it’s a French eatery. We parked on the same street(parking can be tricky to find), and upon walking up we were greeted. There was plenty of seating available so we chose a table not too far in, but close enough to still enjoy the breeze and sunlight. We were handed menus, which if you haven’t seen from the photos yet are almost half the size of the length of the table — interesting choice for a menu to me. In any case we ordered our drinks and our food and waited maybe… hmm…12−15 minutes. I ordered the tft burger and a small french-press coffee. The burger was tasty and my coffee was delicious — I might just have to start drinking more french-press. My girlfriend ordered the… parisienne(sp?) crêpe and honestly, it was WAY better than my burger — and I love burgers. Our waiter was very helpful and courteous, and the manager(at least I think he was a manager — dressed entirely differently and made a phone call, haha) was nice as well. The place is kind of small; intimate I should say so I wouldn’t recommend more than 4 people dining together at a time. They do have a two restrooms(one for each sex) so that’s always good. Everyone who worked here also spoke French, which for some reason surprised me.

— Locale Destination — It’s on 424 Pier Ave and Cypress Ave in Hermosa Beach. Ambiance: It’s not so «French», IMO — it’s more like«American» with a little«French» words on decors. Very casual and cozy. Roses on the tables. «French» for me is more like classy decors at cafes in Paris — darker wood, classy and warm. Service: Very quick, friendly staff with a bit of accent. Parking: Street parking with meter. Free parking by the school, though you need to walk a bit from here. Menu: From appetizers, salad, burgers, pasta to entrée. Dinner crepes and dessert crepes. Desserts are mainly crepes, but I want to try«lavender» brulee next time. Drinks: Some craft beers and wine. I didn’t check much of drink menu. Price: a bit expensive side. Entrée/meal items are around $ 18+. For the meal quality, it should be a little lower. — Gluttony Expedition — Today’s soup: tomato & basil soup. Decent flavor, luke warm(I like«hot», not luke warm. You put cheese and croutons by yourself. A few slices of small breads come with it. Alright. I make it better. Beef stew: Very homey flavor. Lots of beef chunks and carrots in the stew. Topped off by melting cheese and potato — kinda like a gratin. They mild out the stew. Not bad. Big portion. I forgot the name: Crêpe with banana, chocolate, almond with vanilla ice cream. The crêpe was very moist, which I did like. Sometimes Japanese crêpe could be too thin, which I don’t like. This was very nice. It’s very big — 2 people portion. I couldn’t eat it by myself. Vanilla ice cream was nothing special, but it was a good accent. Whipped cream comes with it. I like it. — Conqueror’s Deduction — It was slightly better than what I expected. Not bad — especially for this area. Meals weren’t «wow» good, but not bad. I prefer«crêpe» to the food here.

Came for breakfast around 0900 with a good friend which was nice because we were the only customers. First thing I noticed was the interior decoration. It was breathtakingly beautiful. Fresh carnations, out door patio seating, vibrant but relaxing colors. They also had a neat coffee bar area which would be perfect for those that want to catch up on some reading and grab a feel-good breakfast alone. The place brought me back to my honeymoon in Paris. We ordered the French toast and the japonese(?) crêpe. The French toast was kind of a surprise for me – not what I was expecting at all. I think it had about 5 – 6 small slices of French baguette French toast style, a side of whipped cream and fruit. It was very delicious but I could get over how small the portion was. The bread itself was extremely hard and not easy to eat. Taste wise I’d give it a 4⁄5. Not a very practical meal though… not easy to eat. The crêpe was pretty good, smoked salmon with spinach and other veggies. I was a bit annoyed that the smoked salmon was concentrated in one area and off center. We didn’t really get to the«meat» of the dish until about a third of the way in. Kind of frustrating when you’re getting airy bites in the beginning. Overall, I loved the ambiance here and I’d definitely come back for some coffee and small cute bites. Don’t expect to leave feeling full.

While I enjoy this French establishment for their Parisian Décor and servers with a mellifluous French accent, the crepes we ordered did not leave us a burning desire for more. It is a small place, so be prepared to wait a bit if you are coming for brunch/lunch on the weekends. It’s not suited for large groups unless you want an intimate meal elbow to elbow. Overall, friendly and accommodating staff. :) We started out with the Escargot. That was good. Buttery and well-seasoned. All of us ordered Crepes for lunch. I tried the Parisienne. Chicken breast with swiss cheese, mushroom, & green onions in bechamel sauce. It was delicious but not memorable. The other crêpe that sounded interesting was the Filet Mignon but it was a huge disappointment once eaten. It was saucy strips of steak over crêpe. The flavor was okay but it lacked depth. We all shared a sweet breakfast crêpe called Bisous. It has bananas, strawberries, mango, nutella, and ice cream. It was all right, nothing too fancy but the mangoes were a bit sour. I’d probably try non-crêpe items next time.

First time and DEFINITELYCOMINGBACK!!! I’m very big on breakfast and chocolate!!! So I have found my new go to spot!!! Experience as follows: small location but not a long wait. Indoor and out– kinda like an open area with roof –very lovely for perfect weather! service– amazing! Couldn’t ask for a more attentive staff! Food– good mother of god! What we had– crêpe: bisouse crêpe!!! Has Nutella and ice cream!!! Waffle: oh la la!!! Perfection at its best!!! Waffle topped with mango, strawberries and banana, smothered with Nutella!!! Aside from that we ate the providence omelette and I can honestly say– best omelette plate I’ve ever had!!! Ended the day with mimosas(curtesy of crème de la crépe) oh I shall return!!!

This restaurant is located a few blocks east of the Hermosa Pier so parking is quite a bit easier vs establishments that are located at the pier. The menu: standard street café fare of eggs, crêpe and light sandwich selections with a French nuance. Buckwheat crêpes are amazing here — light and airy with savory fillings(e.g., chicken, ham, mushrooms, etc with wonderful bechamel sauce) By the way Crêpe is basically a flat pancake with stuffing inside just incase you didn’t know ;-). Here, instead of the usual bland ingredients, they have a variety of ingredients to choose from. Either get the lunch crêpe or the dessert, not both since then its Crêpe overload :-) Review missing one star only because the restaurant was so busy and wait staff was all over the place and not managing the tables properly. I’d definitely try again during off-peak hours. Reasonably priced, comfortable personality, and charmingly French. Give it a try :-)

Friendly, fast service which was a nice surprise since they were crowded. More shocking, this is a lil french joint being run by french ppl! Lol: P Only funny thing is they came by twice asking if I wanted ketchup w my eggs and I am seriously addicted to ketchup so I haven’t had the red goo in years cause it’s so unhealthy so it took all the will power in me to decline… def a lil rough. hah. Didn’t realize frenchies loved ketchup w their eggs too! Place was good but, if I come back, i’d prob do a bit of modifying to my order. I got the Eggs Fontaine which was one of the healthier appearing options on the menu(asparagus, spinach, egg whites, side salad, fruit, dry wheat toast) but the eggs were a bit oily so I’d request no oil next time and the salad was topped w much too much creamy dressing so get it on the side. Two blueberries in my fruit but one was moldy… guess they didn’t notice. Fruit didn’t seem that fresh but the rest of the food looked like it was. Also a plus that they use local, organic when they can. Hopefully, giving them the benefit, it’s more often than not :) Nice ambience. Packed on a sunday at brunch time. Metered street parking right in front. Nice to stroll on over to the pier for to walk off the brunch after you’re all filled up on a lazy morning.
