Very yummy and not too sweet! The strawberry sorbet is a winner. Serving size is on the smaller side — very similar to what one would expect of gelato.

Loved this place! First time visiting this ice cream shop today and i loved everything about it! The lady that helped me was very sweet and helpful and let me try all the flavors that i wanted :) i got the rocky road ice cream and marshmallow ice cream and it was the best! I wish there was one close to where i live but i will definitely be back soon !

Paradis specializes in Danish Ice Creams. On any day, they have at least 2 vegan friendly flavors in sorbet form. I was informed that they will carry more vegan friendly flavors in the summer since many fruits are in season then. I sampled the Strawberry and Orange Sorbets, both were smooth and almost creamy-​like without the dairy and icy texture that normally comes with sorbets.

Sick of his day to day desk job as a personal banker in Denmark, Lars decided he wanted something more than sitting all day and handling boring transactions. During a road trip in 2014 with his girlfriend, Lars stopped at Hermosa beach and fell completely in love with the beach town. This was the place for him to change his life drastically. So he uprooted himself in Denmark and moved to South Bay where the ocean is beautiful and the weather is always good. «Why ice cream?» I asked him, and Lars answered «because I couldn’t find any when I was here on my road trip» … Oops Paciugo, sorry our Danish friends didn’t find you down the street. Inspired by the lack of ice cream shops in Hermosa Beach, Lars went back to Denmark, quit his desk job, and learned to make ice creams. Bringing Danish ice cream to Hermosa Beach was to be his American dream. Nine months ago, armed with his ice cream knowledge and girlfriend, Lars moved to sunny Southern California and Paradis was born 4 months ago.

Elderflower sorbet? So brilliant. The owner is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met in my entire life, and was so incredibly sweet and helpful. Extremely well-​made, natural flavors. By far the best ice cream in the area!

so glad Paradis is in Hermosa!!! The «Love Box» is a great deal if you want to have Paradis all week long and you can sample so many flavors (6 in a box). I love the orange sorbet — think orange creamsicle and the coffee with chocolate! Yum!

Love this place! All of the ice creams are excellent, even things I usually don’t like (ex. Strawberry sorbet). A great addition to the HB scene. The owners are also nice and helpful. I highly recommend paradis for everyone!

They have a good variety of flavors, I’ve tried most of them and they’re all soooo good! My favorite is the Ferrero Rocher flavor. The people here are always friendly, they make their ice cream fresh daily and the prices are good, I always get the sundaes its 3 scoops of any flavors.

Best ice cream in town! I’ve gone here several times and I am always delightfully surprised at the new flavors. I’ve tried new flavors each visit and they have all been fantastic. The owners are very nice, too. This will continue to be my go-​to ice cream spot.

If you like good ice cream you will like Paradis because that is all they make.
Paradis is a Danish concept and you will understand why Danes are the happiest people in the world once you have tried their ice cream.
The owners were both there during my visit and they guided me through the flavors and talked about Denmark and their concept.
My favorite was the Ferrero Rocher ice cream, but I will be back to sample others.

I love Paradis! My friends and I usually go to the Long Beach store, but we decided to try the Hermosa Beach store since we are closer to this one. The ice cream is so good! I recommend getting the banana chocolate chip, coffee chocolate chip or the strawberry one. I love that they give waffle cones. The kids is $ 4, small is $ 4.95 (two scoops), and there are two more sizes bigger than that. I would definitely recommend this place!

This ice cream from Denmark is amazing. Smooth & soft with a lot of natural flavor. It is made fresh every day. They have all sorts of ways to enjoy the delicious flavors. Best ice cream I have tasted in a long time.

I’m docking a star because to be honest… the prices are quite high for what you get. My husband ordered a regular milk shake and it cost $ 6.95. I got a small cup for $ 4.95. The size of the cups are smaller than what you’d expect. I would recommend to others to try at least once (support local!), but I’d rather go to MB Creamery.

Absolutely my favorite ice cream at the moment! Their flavors qre so tasty, I just can’t get over how rich and creamy the flavors are. My favorite is caramel chocolate peanut butter cuz that is about everything you need to be happy in life. Ferraro Rocher a close second. The store is small so plan on taking it to go. Service is exceptional, portions a bit small so order two scoops. Perfect place to indulge!

This is a much needed and welcome addition in Hermosa Beach! Their ice cream is high quality– with a variety of flavors and the employees explained that it is made fresh every day. I tried the vanilla and ferraro rocher flavors — both were light yet creamy, and very tasty. The location is also convenient — adjacent to a parking lot and very close to the strand. I highly recommend this place and will be bringing my friends and family back soon.

Great addition to the South Bay. The couple that own it are lovely and the ice cream is some of the best I’ve ever had. Unique flavored like orange buttermilk as well as the old stand bys. Creamy and light. Go support a new local business. You won’t be sorry!

This was my first time ever exploring the Hermosa Beach area. After walking around for a few minutes, we ran into Paradis. The place is very small, but a great place for ice cream.
I decided to try the Cookie Butter and Ferrero Rocher ice cream! The ice cream was actually extremely refreshing for a hot evening! It was not as overly sweet as a lot of other ice cream. I was very satisfied with the flavors I got.
The employees were extremely friendly and accommodating. They explained their product and were ready to accommodate diabetic needs.

Best Ice Cream in the area by far!!! Finally open in Hermosa so you don’t have to go to Long Beach. Oreo Cookie and Banana chocolate are the best.

Wow, this place is great! They serve Danish ice cream here, which is supposed to be lighter than regular ice cream (the taste shows). They also have Ferrero Rocher and Cookie Butter flavors, which is basically the main reason to come.
Love it! Will definitely come back again!
