DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! I was told by LaTanya that I could come to Herndon to pick up my cake the morning of my event. A few days later I was told the boutique would be closed and to pick a time slot for delivery. Once I did that and provided the address she told me that she does not deliver to DC, so after changing the game plan twice, I still kindly accepted her offer to meet halfway and pick up the cake the morning of the event. I was contacted by some guy named Brian and we agreed upon a meeting location and time (it was out of my way but I still accepted). I got there at 11:45am and this guy told me he was also about to arrive. A few mins later I called back after several failed attempts in reaching him and he said he’s five minutes away. 15 minutes had passed of me waiting alone in a parking lot and he was no longer answering his phone. I called LaTanya and she said he is on his way. TWENTY-​FIVE MINUTES pass and he is no longer answering his phone and LaTanya was not either. I finally reached her and told her I am now LATE to my event and that it is only fair they deliver it to DC. She refused and began yelling very loudly and talking over me. You are to NEVER yell at a customer ESPECIALLY when you are FAILING to provide the service that I paid for.
The cake had a bow. Inside the bow she stuffed saran wrap with napkins and my entire party saw me pull this out of said bow (it was pretty gross and unprofessional). The cake was OK. It was sort of dry but the fresh strawberries I paid extra for saved the day. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional and rude «business» in my ENTIRE life and I use Unilocal religiously and have never had to actually write a review. She was literally screaming at me and stopped answering me. I was waiting for over a half hour and towards the end I actually thought this may have been a scam and I wasn’t getting a cake. I was late and yelled at by these people. PLEASE PLEASE do not do your business here!!!

I tried Pink Piggy Sweet cupcakes for the first time yesterday. Delicious! I tried the B-​side and strawberry and both were yummy. I am usually not a fan of chocolate cupcakes but the B-​side made me a fan. The icing had just the right amount of sweetness. The strawberry is one of their signature cupcakes and I know why. It bursts with fresh strawberry flavor! The store is quaint and cute and the owners are friendly and wonderful to talk to. It was so nice to hear their success story going from an online business to a store front. I hope they have much more success!
Customer service is excellent too! I asked for two cupcakes not out and they prepped them for me for my friend’s birthday.
If you are craving a cupcake, then you must go here! I can’t wait to taste all of the flavors! They even make homemade do dog treats! Pink Piggy Sweets also make cakes and other delightful treats! Go there!

I love Pink Piggy Sweets! I have had the cupcakes (lemon, chocolate, chocolate with strawberry icing, and my personal favorite, cotton candy). My dog loves their doggy treats as well, and he goes crazy when I take them out. Their cookies and brownies are also great, especially their slutty brownie. Yum! I highly recommend!

Their shop is so adorable! Covered is pink piggies and other adorable trinkets. I went in January and their special cupcake for the weekend was bourbon vanilla and it was delicious! They have a lot of interesting flavors and they do accommodate for different allergies if you wanted to order a cake or cupcakes for an event. I believe their website shows the flavors they offer and you can always call to see what the flavor of the day is, they normally have at least 1 each day.

I needed a special custom cake for my husband’s 40^th birthday — I was very specific about the design and flavor. Most bakeries said they cannot make the cake. However LaTanya and Mary at Pink Piggy Sweets were up for the challenge! They patiently explained each part of the design and icing to me. The final cake looked great and tasted amazing! I will definitely go back to Pink Piggy Sweets for my dessert needs.

The people that work there are very nice and I enjoy supporting small businesses; however, their prices are absolutely ridiculous and overall the product tastes average. It’s nothing to write home about, which makes charging almost $ 4 per cupcake and up to $ 75 for a small cake even more crazy. Recommend checking out Red Velvet Cupcakery in Reston as an alternative, or just go to Whole Foods.

Went to the new Pink Piggy Sweets store in Loudon county for a Valentines Day 2016 order. I purchased a dozen vanilla with strawberry frosting as well as chocolate with chocolate frosting. The strawberry frosting was DELICIOUS… it was made with fresh strawberries and they were visible in the frosting. The taste was fresh and homemade unlike the artificial frosting as in grocery store bought cupcakes. The chocolate cupcakes were decadent, moist and delicious too. I have now asked my husband stop by weekly on his way home to pick up a few… Goodbye Diet…:-) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Consider this a six star review! I loved my son’s Batman themed birthday cake. It was beautiful, very professional looking, and absolutely delicious. And because I believe kids get too much sugar, I requested it with ½ sugar and ½ Stevia as well as gluten free! My guests had no idea it was gluten free and low sugar becasue it tasted soooo good. I’ll be back for all my cake needs! Thank you Latonya.

I am very disappointed to even have the need to write this post, but want to prevent future consumers from having a similar experience.
I ordered from Pink Piggy Sweets for my son’s birthday in September and had a great experience. The cupcakes were a hit, and the owner was great to work with. I decided recently to order a custom cake and went online to place an order about a week before I needed it. I didn’t hear back so circled back with them a couple of days after I placed the order and received a call back. As with my previous experience, the owner was great to work with and told me the additional pieces of info that were needed. I was able provide the requested info and we were able to have yet another great experience. I paid the invoice for the cake shortly before heading out to pick it up (say about an hour).
During the custom cake pick up (¹²⁄₄), I purchased half a dozen shortbread cookies from the display case and another half dozen cake pops. The cookies were awesome, and the owner gave me one that I was able to devour right there in the store. While there, I mentioned to her a couple of other occasions I needed some additional sweets. One for a dozen cupcakes, the other for several dozen cookies to take to an event out of state. We discussed some of the details, and I even shared with her the target date for when I would need the cupcakes (the following Wednesday). I received a text message from the owner on the following Wednesday (¹²⁄₉) indicating my cupcakes were ready for pickup. There was clearly some confusion (quite possibly on my end), as I assumed I still needed to go online and finalize the details of the order (date, qty, flavor, etc.) as I’d done in my previous transactions. Even though my dates had shifted, I was still going to pay for them and pick them up. I let her know I would swing home and then stop by later in the evening to grab them. We agreed and things were fine. When I got home, I learned that I had a sick baby on my hands. I sent a text to the owner asking if she could drop them by (as this is part of her service) since I was home with the baby and might need to take him to the ER. She told me not to worry, she would just sell them in her boutique and she could remake them when I needed them. I asked her if she was sure about this. (I could have made plans to get them the following day.) She confirmed and in my mind, things are fine. I sent her back a message on Monday (¹²⁄₁₄) to ask if she could have them ready for Wednesday (¹²⁄₁₆) pick up. She confirmed, told me she would send an invoice. She also asked if I wanted them to be delivered or if I would pick them up. I was driving when I received this message and didn’t get a chance to respond for many reasons. So imagine my surprise when I receive a call the following morning (Tuesday, ¹²⁄₁₅) from the owner’s mother indicating that my order was being cancelled due to lack of communication and payment. I was completely shocked and incredibly disappointed with the way this had been handled. How did I just conduct business a week prior in the same manner with this same company to now be told that the transaction methodology was no longer acceptable.
I was not given any warning or heads up that my order was in jeopardy. During the phone conversation with the owner’s mother I was not given the opportunity to pay the invoice over the phone or by a certain time to secure the order OR advised during ANY of my past interactions that the invoice must be paid a day in advance of pick up. Keep in mind that I literally paid for the previous week’s invoice an hour before pick up.
In retrospect, I believe there was obviously a breakdown in communication. So here are a few suggestions that could be of use:
1) Online orders should always be required. It covers both parties.
2) Invoicing and payment policies should always be consistent and communicated CLEARLY.
3) Cancellation policies should be communicated CLEARLY with clients to avoid confusion.
4) Text message communication should be used after an online order has been established
5) If there is concern about being «stiffed» by clients, institute some sort of deposit policy. Again, it covers both parties. However, I’m not familiar with bakeries requiring payment up front unless it is a deposit for a large order.
I am especially frustrated that as a repeat customer, there was not more done from a customer service perspective to address this before order cancellation occurred. Suffice it to say, I will find another place to get my sweets and will caution others about the business practices here. In the future I hope there is clearer communication about cancellation policies and ordering guidelines at Pink Piggy Sweets. It will avoid frustrated and angry customers.

Yummy and creative! I have used PPS twice for two very different occasions. The first was a first communion, we wanted delicate, pretty cupcakes we did a variety of flavors. Fast forward several years to a 10 years old Archaeology themed birthday. This time I relied on PPS to create the entire dessert table, Dirt cups, mini cake, amazing cupcakes, all yummy and perfectly themed. Halloween is coming and I am going to rely on PPS for my party.

They were great! Selected PPS after reading the reviews. We talked to LaTanya and Mary a few times over the phone and discussed design and flavors –we chose a ‘beach’ theme using buttercream, the butta-​licious cake flavor and strawberry filling. O.M.G. So.Darn.Good! The cake was gorgeous — the shells they made were exquisite — stunning, really. And the cake was great — not too moist, not dry, just the perfect texture. LaTanya and Mary were so helpful and sweet, you can’t beat them when it comes to customer service. If you’re new to trying them, go for the Butta-​licious, you won’t be disappointed! I can’t wait to use them for my next occasion!

We absolutely love Pink Piggy Sweets! I have ordered cakes from her on every birthday occasion for my family. She always exceeds my expectations with my requests. I have ordered a mini mouse themed cake, rainbow cake for my kids, and on my husbands birthday for the past 2 years we have gone with a weight lifter cake, and a golfers cake. Her designs are beautiful and you can tell she puts love into her work. I love that she hand delivers also, she has always been on time and called before she arrives. The cakes are amazing and very reasonably priced for the quality and service you receive. Thank you!

Pink Piggy did a wonderful job decorating the cake for my son’s birthday. Unfortunately, the cake was quite dry and texture was old tasting. Will not be returning.

Pink Piggy made the cutest Minnie Mouse cake for my daughter’s 3^rd birthday! Not only was it beautiful, it was delicious!!! The cake was also delivered at the EXACT time I requested with a smile! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I am definitely going to use Pink Piggy for ALL of our sweet needs from here on out!!!

From ordering, delivery, presentation down to the very last bite the birthday cake that was made by Pink Piggy was perfect. When i called and ordered an Elmo cake I expected a sheet cake with an Elmo picture– not a Muppet realistic two tiered beautiful gourmet cake– it was above and beyond and It made my daughters birthday. They will be our go to bakery from now on I am so so glad to have discovered this business!

Love, love, love Pink Piggy and LaTanya, the owner. On short notice today, I ordered a dozen cupcakes to be delivered for my sister’s birthday. I cannot say enough about how fantastic the customer service was — LaTanya truly went above and beyond to get them to my sister. My sister and her family said the cakes are absolutely delicious. LaTanya was kind enough to take pictures of the cupcakes and the delivery box and then forward them to me so that I could see what was delivered. This was such a nice touch. In an era when customer service seems to be nonexistent, it is so nice and unexpected to get such quick, wonderful, personalized service!

Wow. If you have a crazy idea and need a creative baker to execute it, call LaTanya at pink piggy. My daughter had a titanic themed birthday party and LaTanya made a beautifully detailed rendering of the sinking ship. Not only was it beautiful, but tasted fantastic.
The customer service was excellent. Her staff called several times to confirm the order and delivery time, yes she delivers, much better service than we got from other, way more expensive companies.
The cake was fresh and safe for my daughter, who has nut allergies, to eat. Thank you LaTanya!!!

Pink Piggy saved the day! We needed a red velvet cake at the last minute for a retirement party and they were able to have it delivered in less than 24 hrs. The guests loved it. We will definitely use their services again

I am giving Pink Piggy Sweets an A plus for service and taste. Being a teacher I have sampled a great many cupcakes and I was hitting a cupcake wall built with sugary waxy frosting and dried out cakes. Thank goodness for PPS they have cracked the wall with their delicious cupcake creations. We tried the butta-​licious and the just chocolate, both were outstanding. I really liked the chocolate though, really rich chocolate flavor and very moist. My family liked the puffy butter cream frosting on the butta-​licious; they said it was lighter than they thought it was going to be yet still creamy. The flavor for both cakes really makes these cupcakes stand out from the sugary messes that I have sampled. My advice is make sure that you have a cache for yourself of the chocolate cupcakes before you share with your family or friends because these baked goods will quickly disappear!

Cupcakes were good, the icing was too sugary and sweet. And it was over priced. For a dozen cupcakes, it was $ 36 plus delivery! Too much. But they were moist.

PPS rocks! My cake was delicious & arrived on time; actually ahead of time. The cake was so fresh and beautiful. The staff was very pleasant & helpful. I will be ordering something else for my next event. Thanks again!

FANTASTIC!!! We used Pink Piggy Sweets for a 30^th birthday party and EVERYONE loved the cupcake display. They delivered the cupcakes/​stand to the restaurant for the party and were very easy to work with. They provide updates and receipts via email for your records. We can’t wait to use them again.
