The smell of the restaurant was a bit off putting, but the service was fast. The food was really good and I recommend the yogurt sauce. The chicken was spiced well and they give you plenty of rice!

Really awesome kebabs at a phenomenal price. I got the lamb with all the sauce and it was incredibly tasty. Came with fries and was under $ 10. Also got the chicken which was good as well. Can’t beat this place. Small dining area inside.

I checked this place out on a whim and I am glad I did. This place has amazing food. Been here three times and tried out the whole menu. I am not joking. Go to dishes; Whole Peruvian chicken, chapli kebab burger, Bindy special, and the pastrami melt. The sides are alright, usually just get onion rings, fries, and salad. The Peruvian chicken comes with two sauces, green(spicy) and yellow(sweet-tangy) both are amazing. The chicken itself is amazing. These guys know how to to rotisserie chicken! Chicken is full of flavor and never overcooked! Small eat-in space, kept clean, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Definetly coming back.

Meh. The chicken just tasted like regular roach chicken. Nothing special. The buffalo chicken wings had far too much vinegary taste.

Came here twice already. Owners are very nice. Can sit if you want but nothing fancy or super accommodating. The first time I came I ordered a doner sandwich on Turkish bread with a side of spicy potatoes. The spicy potatoes are okay but the doner sandwich was very good, especially the orange and green sauce, and it made me very full. Great portions and deal for just $ 7! The second time I came here was actually today and I ordered a chicken doner over rice with salad. I liked this better than the sandwich! I think it’s because I like my carbs in rice form more than in bread form. Meat and portion were both perfect. I was full after. It was only $ 7. $ 10 credit card/debit card min btw. Come through this spot for cheap, good, halal food. Will come back to try their Peruvian chicken for Iftar one day.

My Dad has been raving about Grill Junction for months after seeing it in Newsday. I had Doner Kebab while in Germany 3 years ago, so we were both pumped to find it a town away on Long Island. It’s a small restaurant with four tables inside. It’s sort of a grab & go sort of place, or pay at the counter & wait and eat. There was only two guys behind the counter but they make things work. My dad and I ordered the Lamb Doner Kebab with Fries and the Rotisserie Chicken with Basmati Rice. We got all three sauces on the doner. It came served on delicious turkish bread that is only in your dreams, except now it’s here. It’s full of flavor. The Rotisserie Chicken is amazing too. The skin is to die for and is full of different spices. We ate and were SO full for $ 17 and change. I can’t wait to go back again because the doner was just like I remembered years ago in Germany.

Legit man… legit. Been here a couple of times and am REALLY liking that lamb doner kebab sandwich. Those seasoned string beans and spicy potatoes really hit the mark. The Peruvian chicken is very good as well. Clean place and very pleasant people who run it… recommended

I like this place, tasty and they have some unique sandwiches along with regular turkey subs, etc etc. A Desi Deli you could say but they have Peruvian chicken and the such… I haven’t tried the chicken yet. I have had the Doner Kebab, and their fries were good with it too. It’s a smaller restaurant type place but the food was delicious!

Grill Junction is like a step above Halal cart food — which is good — Halal cart food is usually delicious. What’s unique about GJ is that they also offer Peruvian chicken — sort of. When I got Peruvian chicken, there was too much rosemary in the rub. I’ve had Peruvian chicken from a few places, including Pio Pio, and rosemary was not that forward, if there at all. I like rosemary, but it was distracting. The green sauce is good. Maybe a tad spicy, but good. Peruvian chicken is all about the green sauce, so it needs its own mention. They also have a yellow sauce, not sure what it is, but it was also tasty. The chicken kebab had a nice char on it, but the«grilled vegetables» that came with it were pretty much peas and chopped up peppers in the(very nicely spiced) rice. Get the chicken instead of the lamb kebab — the lamb was too greasy for my taste. The spicy potatoes are def spicy. I mean, white-boy spicy. Like, I think they are really spicy, which means … they’re probably not that spicy! They are delicious, though, as are the french fries — the fries are notably good here. The guys who work here are friendly, and not slackers — if your food takes a minute, be patient, look at the photos on the wall(National Geographic? I recognized the famous shot of the Afghan girl). Parking outside is available but tight — it’s Hicksville train station, after all. So, I’ll be back to Grill Junction, but it’s the not the Godsend I hoped it would be. Three stars, plus one more for the pricing. (P.S. — I haven’t yet b/c no time, but check out the Islamic art gallery next door. Islamic art gallery in a storefront by the train station? So random that it must be worth checking out.)

This place is solid but lmao at the inflated 5 star rating showing up on Unilocal at present. I’ve eaten here 3 times; got the doner kebab special twice and had the chapli burger special on Friday. I actually liked the chapli burger a lot even though it doesn’t look special at all. The flavor is really good because of how they season the meat. Doner kebab was good too but messy to eat. Prices are great; both were lunch specials for $ 6.99. They use this nice bread for the doner and a very sesame seedy bun for the chapli burger of which I was a fan. Big ups to Grill Junction for letting you swap a salad instead of fries on the lunch specials. Can’t really comment on how this place compares with other turkish /peruvian cuisine cause i’m not that familiar w/it. Rock Solid place to stop by for a meal though.

Grill Junction opened sometime this year. I tried this place out with a bunch of friends and have been back more than a couple of times. It is one of my top five places to eat in Long Island. For the price, you get so much food and everything here is delicious. I normally get the Peruvian Chicken(half) with two sides. The chicken is so moist and flavorful. And the house made sauces compliment them perfectly. The chicken is seasoned perfectly on top and under the skin. I was told it was a yogurt based marinade. However I have tried the Doner Kebabs and and the Chicken Shish Kebabs and they are just as amazing. That bread used for the doner kebab sandwich is amazing. Wow. The selection Grill Junction has is very limited. But with a limited menu, they really have perfected the options they give. From the sides to the entrees, to the sauces they provide that compliment the entrees perfectly. The owner and workers here are all so friendly and give so many recommendations. If your not sure with what you want to eat, ask for recommendations.

Very happy to hit 180 reviews with a 5’er! Had this place bookmarked for quite awhile and after reading all of the reviews and driving by tonight I had to stop for dinner. Tried the lamb kabob with rice and salad which was pretty tasty. Rice and lamb both had good flavor. Sauces? Excellent. Dont just get the tzatziki get them all. BUT be warned I think it’s the jalapeño one, that was spicy. I liked it, it wasn’t over bearing but if you’re not a spicy time of guy/gal get it on the side to try. Also tried the chicken which had great seasoning all over the skin and was juicy. My main entrée was the doner sandwich with a side of spicy potatoes. The sandwich was very big and the side was big for a personal side. Bread was delicious and a great change from pita. Doner meat flavorful and plentiful. Came topped with salad — lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes and feta. All of that deliciousness plus the sauces made for a great sandwich. Definitely a little spicy and the spicy potatoes were like homefries with a kick. Owner was super friendly and helpful with the menu. They had a good amount of people eating in, taking out and calling in orders which is a good sign. I liked the Doner the best out of everything I tried. *If you like gyros — get the Doner sandwich!!* $ 6.95 for a big tasty meal. Yesssss.

I was skeptical about this place at first but after try the Peruvian rotisserie chicken and mannnnn let me tell you, they put so much love into it, the flavor it’s amazing just like in Peru. I was in need for real Peruvian rotisserie chicken in the area. The aji(spicy green sauce) brought out so many wonderful flavors. Thank you Ish & your team.

There isn’t a better lunch special than Grill Junction’s doner kebab sandwich with a side. The sandwich plus a drink comes out to $ 8.64 which is a fair price; however, the quality is outstanding. This was by far the best doner sandwich I’ve ever had. The meat was well flavored and had a perfect char. There were plenty of fresh vegetables and cheese. They were topped off with s couple of delicious sauces. All of this was packed into a quarter of Uzbek naan. Please message me if you have tried a better doner sandwich or if you know of a better lunch deal!

This place opened up not too long ago. I would say within the year. And since then, they have been doing phenomenal. Turkish and Peruvian flavors might seem a little out of the ordinary. But they go surprisingly well together. Not the biggest selection/menu out there but to be honest whatever they offer is more than enough. I could eat their doner kebab and a side of spicy potato all day long. The meat is packed with a ton of flavors and spices and the bread they use is very unique and good. The spicy potato remind me of homefries from a local diner but with a very nice spicy touch to it. If the food wasn’t enticing enough, the price is very reasonable for the amount of food they give you. A real bang for your buck. The service is great! The owner, Ish, is very nice and extremely friendly. Everytime we go, we always end up chatting with this guy for like 30 mins. My only complaint would be once everyone finds out about this spot and it starts to get busy, there won’t be much seating. Their place is small. Only about 4 tables. Also their location isn’t exactly the easiest to find. Near the Hicksville train station, lost behind some auto repair shop in a small deserted«shopping center» next to a papa johns. But other than that, this place is great and I would recommend to anyone who loves food.

I tried the chicken shish kebab platter and honestly wasn’t very impressed to be honest. I am willing to give them another try because I am intrigued by the fact that they’ve combined Turkish and Peruvian food because I never would have thought to put this combo together. I may try the Peruvian chicken next time but the Doner sandwich looks interesting as well. The service was friendly and the eating area is small but clean. The chef seems to have a bit of a communication issue. Not sure if his English is great. It seemed like the guy working the counter had a bit of an issue trying to get him to understand what he was saying. He was however nice. I noticed that he was not using gloves so I observed him for a while to see how he handled the food. Instead it seems that he uses a rag to turn the skewers. I think there may be in issue with uneven heating in their rotisserie because some of the pieces of chicken I ate were well done while others were barely done. I also bit into some less than desirable pieces hence my three star rating. I think more can be done to ensure the pieces are properly cleaned and cut to improve the experience. The salad could use some more tomato, I only got once slice. At least the lettuce was fresh. I asked for white sauce but for some reason the chef decided he would top my food with all three sauces so by the time I got back to work to eat they were blending together so I really don’t want to comment on the different flavors as I could not make the distinction at times but none of the sauces were bad. The rice was also decent. The price is about two dollars more than you would pay for the same exact thing from a street meat cart but the amount of food that you get is average.

Before embarking on the 30-day dawn to sunset yearly fast I was in the mood to have one last culinary indulgence. A search on Unilocal revealed this new establishment that opened 2 months. Peruvian-Turkish cuisine? Interesting fusion and so the curiosity led me to explore this place further. The restaurant is located off of Broadway in Hickville in a strip mall. Nice and clean with some seating available for dine in. What caught my eye was the Peruvian rotisserie chicken — and that was what I sampled. The chicken was moist and flavorful — I am told it is marinated for at least 24 hours. Good stuff. They also serve doner(not the frozen but I actually saw the rotating spit). I texted a friend who later dropped by and decided to try their«Chapli» burger which he rated as «very, very good». Chapli is a minced patty with spices, usually found in Pakistani cuisine. So… I guess its Peruvian-Turkish-Pakistani cuisine. Bottom line is that they serve good food that was fresh and filling. Their meat is halal.
