The Artfull Garden

This is my favorite place to get coffee in Hillsboro. Good espresso, and check out their candy selection! I love the peanut butter cups. Good service, too!

Very friendly service. The coffee, iced white mocha, was delicious as was the macaroon. It helps that they have Longbottom coffee! The store is interesting, stocked with knick knacks, candy and other things. A definite «have to check out»!

WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Ms. Kay always makes our After School students feel like family! The shop has exquisite gift items for any occasion. It’s warm and inviting, and the atmosphere makes you want to go back again and again!

Kay, the owner of The Artful Garden is as good as they come! She is prompt, friendly, courteous, and always puts her customers first! If you are looking for a gift for your friend, or just need to treat yourself to a relaxing afternoon, The Artful Garden is the place for you!
Try the peanut butter hot chocolate… it’s one of the best things I’ve ever tasted.

This is a strange little gift shop. Strange in a charming sort of way. They have all sorts of garden accessories but also a coffee bar, candy and knick knacks.
The staff is friendly and the golden retriever they have is very sweet.
It’s a good spot if you’re in need of a last minute gift and don’t mind paying a bit extra.

This shop has the best candy!!! Of course the rest is nice too, but the candy is stellar! What first attracted me to this store was it’s artsy feel, beautiful jewelry, fun garden décor and soaps. I have bought a couple things, but much of the stuff I really like is really expensive and I dare say a bit over priced.
However, if you are in need of some really cute garden décor, this place may just be the perfect place to shop. When shopping for last minute gifts, this shop usually has something that works perfectly.
One day while shopping around I decided to give the candy counter a try. I bought my husband a big box of an assortment of sour candies for Father’s Day. Score! Not long drive to the mall for candy anymore! The candy was soft and fresh, unlike the packaged candy you buy at the store. Since this purchase I have returned over and over. The chocolates are delightful! (Made by the Candy Basket). We get one every time we visit the store these days.
The assortment of candies and chocolates makes this place a much better place to shop for gift baskets yummies than places like See’s or even the candy store at the mall. The Artful Garden has plenty to choose from! Plus, the ladies who work here are awesome!

This is where I get my morning coffee, and my afternoon coffee. The baristas here make an excellent cup of joe. Great place to buy authentic kknick knacks and old fashioned confections. (candy and chocolates) Ollie is the star of the show here and appreciates a little attention from the customers.

This place is a block from my work and I love it to death.
Where do I go when a client bitches me out and I need a truffle? The Artfull Garden.
And when I need a good, cheap cup of coffee? The Artful Garden.
What about when I could really use some puppy time? Some days Otis, a very friendly Golden, is hanging out in the shop. When he’s not there I go back to the truffles.
Other awesome things: Popcorn, gluten-​free cookies, and free coffee Friday. I also enjoy going in and just wandering around. Their garden stuff allows me to daydream of warmer times when I’ll be able to garden.
Another really great small business in the downtown area.

A long time ago I bought my mom this little quirky terracotta tree/​wall hanging/​planter thingy from a place in Arizona where they sold Mexican ceramics.
When mom moved to Oregon, it didn’t survive the trip. It was in smithereens when she opened the box, and she was really sad. Really, She cried.
Flash forward a few years and I’m in the Artful garden looking at garden art (because I like to spend money on it, clearly) and BOOM, there is almost an exact duplicate of what my mom lost.
So now it’s hanging on her wall. Sweet.
I love the Artful Garden for gifty stuff, they have some pretty garden art and nice quality handicrafts. It’s a nifty little place.
The candy looks good, but I run away from it.

The Artfull Garden is a fantastic place to buy gifts or treats for yourself. The store features local artists and if you don’t see exactly what you are after, just ask if you can see the special order catalogs or put in a request with an artist for custom work.
Also located in the Artfull Garden is The Candy Basket. They have an unrivaled selection and I think they are way better that See’s. I was so excited to visit the famous McCloud Candy Shop in McCloud, CA over the 4^th of July weekend but it didn’t hold a candle to The Candy Basket. This is where I buy special treats for Easter, Valentine’s Day, and Christmas.
